Re: Rumour: Ubisoft May Be Working On An Animal Crossing Competitor

The_DuckWitch

@Agenerationofgens I agree Breath of the wild was a bad Zelda game, Nintendo could easy have replaced all the characters models and slap a new name on it and a new series would have began.

It's not really Zelda in my opinion without dungeons, puzzles and gear that is not physics based sandbox.

Wisdom is a different zelda game but at least it felt like a zelda game.

Re: Latest 'Switch 2' Rumour Suggests Nintendo Is Preparing For An Enormous Launch

The 6.85 million units may sound like a considerable number, but it's nonetheless worrying compared to the 2.74 million units moved during the last Switch launch. Many players, including me, waited 2-3 years before taking the plunge that it was worth buying, and the issues surrounding the Wii U likely made people cautious.

We also had an influx of new gamers with COVID-19, many of them, especially women, taking to their first console to play games like Animal Crossing. This was instrumental in firing up the cozy game genre that seemed to keep gaining momentum.
Some reports state up to 40% of gamers are now female and that was dated back in 2020, this could mean the number of gamer's has doubled.

With these new gamers in mind, and the ones who held back now understand the value of the console, added to the stress from the scalpers, it's still possible the stock could remain short.

I would expect that Nintendo has already looked at these numbers, but even still sometimes the people making the calls in the industry are making mistakes like letting the game Gollem in a bad state, luckily for us Nintendo is smarter.

edit
After a little research scalpers managed to sell around 2-3 million PS5's at launch so if the number of gamer's has doubled plus scalpers 2-3 million which could be higher this time we need 8.48 Million stock.
But remember it's all rumour , most Nintendo Rumours are false or broken clocks.

Re: Nintendo Slays Switch Emulator Ryujinx

There is absolutely no doubt that gaming is dying, but there's one company out there working their backsides off, unlike the competitors, and still releasing good games that actually sell.

That would be Nintendo-if people really want to save gaming, then they'll need to support them by buying their games, since it's the only company that knows what it's doing.

Re: Nintendo Wipes Out 8535 Yuzu Repositories In One Big DMCA Takedown

The emulation wars are beginning, companies such as Nintendo will try to outlaw them, other companies will fight to allow them due to game preservation. This will take years before we see a result, and if the public does win what will the rules be, could a system be emulated before its discontinued ? are examples of the questions to be asked.

Gaming needs new regulations for several areas.

Re: As Switch Approaches The PS2's Lifetime Sales, Sony Moves The Goalposts

Ethier way this number really shows that gaming is slowly dying.
In the year 2000 population of earth was about 6 Billion and the record was to be set, now the population is 8 Billion with an increase of 2 billion yet no one can break the record.

Next year gaming is expected to decline, so many compaines are downscaling, expect more f2p and watered down glitchy games.

Re: Talking Point: Should 'Third' Pokémon Games Make A Comeback?

The_DuckWitch

Recent Pokemon games have been disappointing compared to the earlier generations, especially after Generation 5. While Sun and Moon stood out as great additions, subsequent releases have been lacking, with each new installment seemingly worse than the last. The Let's Go games provided some enjoyment, but overall, the series has taken a downward turn. Personally, I stopped purchasing them after experiencing Pokemon Shield, which felt like a diluted version of what the franchise used to offer.

Re: Players Need To Start "Feeling Comfortable" With Not Owning Games, Says Ubisoft Subs Boss

He can say this all he want's but there has been a massive increase in people going out and buying preowned goods.
In my local town not 1 but 3 preowned shop's have opened up and a large portion of them shop's are selling old video games, dvds, cds, vinyl and cassettes . Guess what these shop's are packed with people, also the charity shops are packed . The other day I walked out with Bridget jones diary set and some action film's such as Joker for like £3.

Subscriptions have pretty much reached their peak and the downfall begins, I personally do not subscribe to any of them because what they show 90% of the time is not in my interest as I don't watch and play the same things the flock of sheep do.

The last game i played on game-pass was Viva pinata ,before that Lost in Random and these games are very few , so I unsubscribed.

I recently brought my partner a Wii and with a few hack's we are online again, we play animal crossing and currently Zelda skyward sword on the wii as it's got and get this Dungeons, it's not watered down crap like breath of the wild.
I don't need to pay for a remake version when the old version is the same game and with a wii2hdmi its got a good enough picture.

We went to see Busted Live in October , we brought Cd's and get this the first Cassette I've brought in year's. I phoned my Dad to check if I still have a valid bank account with him after all these years and his buying me a Cassette player. So excited to receive it and the thought of going out the house to hunt down Cassettes is exciting, it's like the 90's are back. My partner found this funny and did similar with her Dad for a Portable Cd player.

We turned the smart phone off, it was hard but now after a few weeks we are free from it. It's like my cloudy brain fog has cleared up. Even my imagination is returning back to me, which drives my hobby which is Art. Now we are looking to buy dumb phones, cameras and even a map of London for when we visit.

What fueled all this was recent news, x amount of our movies would go bye bye, no thanks we have now woke up.

I recommend people put the new tech away, and try a lifestyle close to that of the 90's. It don't mean you need old devices but live closer to a older style such as play a dvd on your xbox series x etc.

Physical for ever, it's better.

Re: PSA: If You Restarted Your Animal Crossing: New Horizons Island, You'll Have To Wait A Year To Access Some Things

The_DuckWitch

Disgusting, worst animal crossing game ever.

Clearly watered down junk, compare the hairdresser and your see it's just a rug and chair.

You can't even have coffee with your villagers that you invite by amiibo card, all you can do is watch them drink.

Everyone is just sold on graphics and the ability to decorate externally, while most the games features are missing.
