I don't see this not having online being a problem. Did anyone play Command online, it always took ages for me to find a game!

Is this is global press conference or just to a specific territory? If there's one in the states they might be announcing Xenoblade Chronicles for there. That is IF this is a global conference.

Reading some people's responses here and seeing worry about Nintendo's demise is just shocking. Little history lesson for you guys, the Xbox 360's infamous RROD cost Microsoft over $1 BILLION dollars in extended warranties and stock prices fell, the PS3 had a slow start due to prices on SKU's, weaker and buggy ports of 360 games and look at it now. What is it with people expecting Nintendo to fail at the first sign of negative growth, do you people remember how much they made from 2006 to 2009?

I keep seeing people say that it is bad that they've reduced the price so soon after launch and that it's going to be another Virtual Boy but it didn't take long for Sony to drop the price of the PS3 and look at it now!

If you're talking about marketing then they should have no problems in selling The Last Story in North America atleast, with it's pedigree it should sell by itself. If they did an advertisement with the heading "FROM THE CREATOR OF FINAL FANTASY", that would get some reaction and potential sells wouldn't it?

@MAddogz: They are a UK company but they deliver to Europe, you have to pay extra for P&P but it's not too expensive

I'm I the only one who thinks it would be a great idea if Valve did a sequel to the Metroid Prime series. Given their track record with First person shooters with puzzle elements I can't think of anyone better to take over the incredible legacy that Retro studios left on those gem of games.

There's no need, Skyward Sword is coming out this year and they're doing a special addition Wiimote for it as well. Compared to what they did last this is alot better, although it would have been nice to of had a special addition 3DS like they did the red Wii and DSI XL last year.

Don't put Crysis 2 on the Wii U, that pales in comparision to the first one!

Compared to the DSI shop it's a big step up but Nintendo can and should do so much more in Europe and Australia with regards to content on there. Not suprising though as even the Nintendo Channel lacks content compared to our friends across the pond!

hope they'll expand on the 3rd party characters this time. Would love to see Leon Kennedy in it this time. What 3rd party characters would you lot like to see on the game?

My money is on next holiday. From a business perspective that would make the most sense as with the recent drop in price on the Wii, there's still plenty of time to get more of those into house and maximise profits.

The footage that they showed during the press conference wasn't half bad for this one. Although having a second look at Driver: Renegade, I'm having second thoughts on that one!

I would love it if they re-did Wind Waker to support 480p and motion plus controls.

Would have been better to put Ghost Recon instead of Splinter Cell. Bit hesitant of UBI soft after their poor performance (quality wise) on the Wii and 3DS but the trailer for Renegade looks pretty mint!

Either way I doubt I will be buying any games from UBI soft, their line up was less then stellar. Although I do have to admit that the trailer for Driver for the 3DS didn't look half bad.

Would prefer something original. Between SSFIV, Zelda: OoT, Starfox 64 and Cave Story 3d the only new games coming out with originality are the Resident Evil ones... and DOA.

While I do believe that both parties are at fault I think it's about high time that game journalism is held more into account. There are indeed several websites with "professional" journalists employed giving lethargic opinions on games on all platforms. Games are now considered an art form but if you compare reviews from music, movies and theatre to reviews on videos games there is a stark contrast in the quality. I've read the review on Joystiq and it definatley lacks professionlism, people complain that the video game industry isn't taken seriously and these sorts of actions do not help.

Would it not have been better if they went the way of Cave Story and did a 3DS remake?

Given what UBI soft's launch line up was like for the Wii and what it has been like for the 3DS, I think i'll be staying clear of them. I learnt my lesson after Far Cry: Vengance... urgh :-s

@Dylan1: De Blob 1 and 2 are mint games if you enjoy platformers (which I do), but I do agree with you that no-one matches up to Nintendo's standard as 95% of my Wii games are 1st party ones!

I don't see this as a problem as long as you can run content directy off the SD card rather then the current setup that they have for Wii
