@TreonsRealm 'The $20 budget price (and if you really need the dual stick controls, its still cheaper to buy the game and circle pad pro than the console version)'
Original price was 45€ and the Circle Pad Pro XL is 30€ (that's what I paid). That is 75€. If you are talking about current price is 30 for game (not 20) + 30 (CPPXL) = 60 although you can find CPP XL cheaper (around 20€, that makes 50€).
@TreonsRealm 'Controls just feel tighter and more natural showing that it was truly built around the 3DS'
Gyro control is annoying for most people. Analogue controls are still analogue controls and it is actually much more comfortable on the Wii U GamePad or Wii U pro controller than on the 3DS. I own the Circle Pad Pro XL and it improves the control on the 3DS but after a few hours it is very uncomfortable if not painful, both circle pads I mean and the reason is because they are flat and not ergonomic as the ones on Wii U.
@Nintendo Life Actually I formally request a message from any person from the staff inviting me to not express my opinion again and I will do as they say whether my opinion is good or bad. I do not want to disturb you. Thanks.
@LDXD @Morphtorok It's not about the number so please before answering me read my messages. Funny that you say relax to me when fiends came over me just because I was expressing my opinion.
@Nintendo Life
Actually I formally request a message from any person from the staff inviting me to not express my opinion again and I will do as they say whether my opinion is good or bad. I do not want to disturb you. Thanks.
@Philip_J_Reed And I can disagree with them as you are all doing with me now. I think there is no freedom in here to express that I disagree with the reviews. Why? This is shameful because it comes even from the staff...
@Tasuki Why should I not say that I disagree with the review? You are behaving like a little dictator now. I can say whatever my opinion is even if you don't like it.
@Tasuki same for you, read my other messages. I still believe there are many mediocre retro games that are overrated but if you all want to defend Nintendo Life so much is okay but it is pointless as comments are to express our opinions! Read all, man!
@skjia So why did Ocarina of Time 3D get lots of 10 and 9 from the media? It is also a slightly improved port and got the same reviews than the original game thirteen years later (not one year later like REvelations). So why not give REvelations similar reviews than the original version? I mean, specially in here where reviewers tend to overrate so often. It's weird.
@Prof_Elvin_Gadd Why don't you read my second message too? And this one too just in case!
@ThomasBW84 Change "retro stupid games" for "retro mediocre games" (and I like some of them) and change "Shame on you" for "You are clearly unfair". I should have expressed myself like that. I don't want all your fans to attack me but it's a fact that you (Nintendo Life) have a tendency to overrate some kind of games and when it comes to a more "serious" profile you go the other way. That's why I think the reviews in here are not consistent at all and not a good reference compared to say Ign.com. On the other hand, I like some of the articles (and a few reviews).
Isn't it more boring these people doing lip service and flattery all the time?
@KnightRider666 I don't hate nobody, just stating the facts. I believe that an 8 is a great score so you must have misread my comment, check it again: NOOO, you give 9 and 10 to any retro stupid game from eShop and you give 8 to REvelations on its second version. Shame on you, Nintendo Life! If you are demanding be always demanding!
And yes, they have overrated lots of mediocre retro games. REvelations deserves same if not more even being a port.
NOOO, you give 9 and 10 to any retro stupid game from eShop and you give 8 to REvelations on its second version. Shame on you, Nintendo Life! If you are demanding be always demanding!
Similar issues arise regarding Wii U retail releases. Wii U looks abandoned even by its own creator. However, I know Nintendo will boost its new system in the near future.
As I already own Kirby Super Star Deluxe* (the improved version for DS) this week I'll pick all demos and Resident Evil Revelations HD of course (even though I have the 3DS version).
*The original one (SNES) was called Kirby's Fun Pak in Europe.
'Could it be a Mario Kart and Sonic & All-Stars Racing crossover?' No.
'Nintendo And SEGA Have Yet To Reveal Another Exclusive Sonic Title' Mario & Sonic first, Sonic Lost World second and perhaps Sonic Lost World 3DS version (total different game because of 3DS capabilities) third?
Good article but I disagree a little bit when it comes to games. Not Mario Kart 7 nor Super Mario 3D Land nor Paper Mario nor Mario Tennis and of course nor New Super Mario Bros. 2 were great games. On the other hand, Resident Evil Revelations, Fire Emblem Awakening and Luigi's Mansion 2 are really amazing. Nintendo just rushed most of their games in order to boost the console sales. That's not the way to go in my opinion.
It was a half-baked game like Red Steel but I enjoyed Red Steel 2 regardless the repetitive gameplay, it was great fun swinging the Wii Remote Plus. Try to make a Zombi U good sequel, Ubisoft.
I am quite surprised of this game getting so drastically different reviews. I did not like the demo and I have read the 'Metroidvania' style is missing in this entry so I guess that is the reason it got bad reviews. But I still wonder what makes it so good for other people, is it just nostalgia? Just asking as I just played the demo. 72% average on Metacritic.com to say something.
@GameLord08 You are right.
@theblackdragon It's much better to complain on here than to send you a private message saying are you sure that is the right thing to say?
By the way my nickname has nothing to do with the newspaper of course.
@Ralizah Even being lazy is one of the best 3DS games and the best Resident Evil since the 4th. I agree some features are missing such as Wii Remote support but it's not like there are a lot of better games around.
Traxx said: 'Never will understand why Nintendo underpowered the CPU that much'
Agreed. I cannot understand it either. Even with a nice GPU the CPU (they are on the same multi-chip) is still way too poor. I do not believe the rumour but I would love Anandtech or somebody to check the new speeds anyway.
Just played the demo, yeah, it controls better on Wii U even though I own Circle Pad Pro. If you use the GamePad the on-screen map is very handy. I also tried the Wii U pro controller, which I love. The game looks gorgeous on a HD TV. And it's a great game itself.
@SKTTR Makes sense, they did that with RE4 Wii Edition and they created a better control although the game was designed for the GameCube controller. So yes, Wii Remote support would make a perfect controlling choice for this game.
@ThomasBW84 Actually I only played the demo which I did not like. I am playing Project Zero 2 Wii Edition these days. It's an amazing game. I can only hope we will have more Project Zero on Wii U. Regarding REvelations, I will go for the the Wii U version even though I already own the 3DS version.

Yeah, I am happy I am not the only one. It is embarrassing that they release the systems with those shortcomings when it is so obvious there is something wrong with them right from the start. @Kirk Another interesting comment indeed. I feel the same about 3DS, as far as the view angle is so narrow and the console itself is also the controller it does not make much sense because it is impossible to play not moving a little bit the device.
