Re: Sega Wants To Bring Star Wars Arcade To Nintendo Switch

I hope Factor 5 (or what's left of it) can get a same type of license to get the toque squadron series to switch. I still play them on the GameCube.
I've heard that Factor 5 was into releasing the complete trilogy to the Wii back in the day and that they still want to make that happen.

@CdrJameson
I have to say, I only had nintendo consoles in my gaming history (because of money mainly). I have a switch now and sometimes I'm looking towards the PS4 (because of games like Spiderman and RDR2). But me and my girlfriend live quite small, with one tv to share. I notice that I use the switch much more as handheld, sitting next to my girlfriend on the couch, so I don't hog the TV.
So while a PS4 seems tempting at first glance, I don't see me using it alot.

@AlexSora89
Nice saying!
And I want my save dates to be safe as well. I'm not saying that I like the way how Splatoon doesn't allow cloud saves, I get less motivated to play Splatoon knowing this. And Nintendo could have swooped me off my feet with GameCube games, since that was my first console.

So I'm not thrilled by the service, it doesn't have a wow factor.

But then again €20 for online MK8D, that's ok for me.

I get that. And although I haven't had any other systems then Nintendo systems I know that the service is minimal to say the least.
But for me, I just don't want to bother my girlfriend every time I want to play MK8D with another human being. And I'm willing to pay €20 a year for that. It really is that pragmatic for me.

Re: Ubisoft CEO Says Sticking With Nintendo In "Difficult" Times Has Helped Their Relationship

I don't understand why people say that the switch needs 3rd party exclusives. To what end does the switch/nintendo needs this? This is a genuine question.

In my opinion nintendo them selves have a lot of exclusives and systemsellers.
I do agree that they need 3rd party support because the systems library would be to small otherwise, and from what I see there is a growing support for the switch (e.g. Diablo, dark souls, games from Bethesda, ubisoft and indie support).

I see the need for 3rd party support but not for 3rd party exclusives.

That's not to say that I don't love M+R, I'm on my second run through.

Dear sir/madame @EightBitMan,

Could you please provide citations to your arguments of "[the switch] being a ridiculous platform and being irrelevant" in post #11 of this comment section, other then the anecdotal 'evidence' provided?

Furthermore I would like to point out that anecdotal evidence can not be extrapolated towards general statements. This constitutes of the anecdotal fallacy, explained in the following YouTube short:
https://youtu.be/pSZzz2hFsFk

Might you not be so inclined to watch this video dear madame/sir, I'll give you an example of the anecdotal fallacy: Accidents are happening everywhere beacause I fell of my bike the other day.

Off course this line of reasoning has been a unconscious mistake which happens to best of us and you want to take part in a meaningful discussion. It's for this reason I address you dear madame/sir @EightBitMan.

Happy conversing!
