There are two things that tend to ruin video game movies. Live action and bad writing. If the story is good, and it's animated or at least CGI/live action, it should be somewhat decent.
@MoonKnight7 I'm not sure what was "unnecessary" about it. Most people know about this particular date, and it holds a lot of meaning to them. It feels weird to me that some people don't acknowledge it and act like it's just another date when a video game is getting released.
Question. Does completing the 100 Mario Challenge unlock all Amiibo costumes, and can you choose the ones you want? Also, can you string together different levels to make worlds?
On a side note, I've never seen so many people excited about 9/11.....
@DarthNocturnal Yeah, but a good lawyer who's willing to help would probably make some dumb excuse like mine, just like most lawyers do. @TsunamiSensei True, but hey, one can dream.
I can hear their lawyer's defense now: "Your Honor, my clients did nothing wrong. They simply had weapons for self-defense. As everyone knows, the winner of these tournaments is often targeted; usually by the loser of the finals. These guns were simply brought in case they were attacked after winning. They even were planning to defend someone else if they won. As you can see, they were not only looking out for themselves, but others too. One could say they were being selfless and heroic. You could even go so far as to say they are pure. There is no doubt in my mind that they were trying to protect people and are innocent beyond doubt. Thank you."
@Dr_Lugae @Ayronom Bringing the guns with ammo would be about the same as opening fire, but without hitting anyone. Although no one was harmed, everyone there was definitely threatened.
Why can't there at least be a general requirement of what you're supposed to put in the house? Say, they ask for a kitchen, but if you don't put enough cooking furniture or too much of something else, they get upset? It wouldn't be too restrictive, but there's still a penalty for not accomplishing the task.
Never really cared for this. I prefer games I can play for long amounts of time. Plus, it seemed difficult to progress without paying. At least Rumble World had the king's missions you could do over and over.
@LilC Yes they did. 2 was the 8th best selling on the GC. I agree they need to change their image. They could be the company that is still kid-friendly, but has plenty of the mature games that are selling on the Xbox and PlayStation.
@faint Like I said, the Wii U install base is relatively small. Only about half of what the PS4 has. You can't expect 3rd party games to sell as well on a system if it has only a limited amount of people who can buy it. Especially if the game doesn't appeal to the majority of the people who can buy it.
@faint Well, a low install base kinda limits how much a game can sell on a system. And I think the third party million sellers you're thinking of are very well known and popular games, whereas the Wii U games you just listed, eh, not so much.
@faint Yes, but the Wii U has a low install base. That's why they need to bring in more fans. If they can strike nice, large, exclusive deals with other big companies, then that'd be a boon for them, and increase their relations with said companies.
@IceClimbers Ah, good point. Maybe they could just wipe the slate clean and really try to get more support for their new system. If they can make the NX the superior system, then it won't matter if it's on the others.
@faint I'm not sure. But if Nintendo is willing to pay some money for, say, an exclusive Wii U version of Call of Duty, then I'm sure some people would buy a Wii U just for that. Then they might start looking at other Nintendo games, buy them, and Nintendo makes $$$.
It's nice that Nintendo's expanding their Amiibo lines to 3rd party companies, but the Shovel Knight Amiibo seems to have too much content locked behind it. Perhaps they could sell Co-op mode for a cheaper price off the e-shop...

@Aromaiden No, no it doesn't.
Re: Pikmin 4 is "Very Close to Completion", Though Its Platform is Unclear
Nice, Pikmin 4. Next they'll announce F-Zero GX 2, Metroid Prime 4, Animal Crossing Wii U, and a proper Fire Emblem game!
Re: Poll: Which Is The Best Super Mario Platformer? - 30th Anniversary Edition
In my mind, 3D Mario games will always be superior to 2D Mario ones. I picked Sunshine since it's on the Gamecube.
Re: Guide: 9 Tips for Playing Runbow
@13AM_Alex May I ask you something? Does the fun setting do anything, or is it just there for looks?

30 bucks for "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader"? Yeesh!
Re: Review: Super Mario Maker (Wii U)
@MoonKnight7 Yeah, uh, how was it awkward? I was just observing how people are excited about a date that usually comes with gloom and doom.
Re: Interview: Here's Your Chance To Ask The Voice Of Mario Anything You Wish
Wait, he worked on Jedi Knight 2? Who did he voice?
"Alright, bro to bro, what's up with you and Peach?

@MoonKnight7 Well, it is true.

@Orangepascal Alright, I get where you're coming from. Thanks for answering my question.

@Spideron Oh, sorry about that. I misunderstood you. But I still think it sound kinda weird, though.

@ThomasBW84 Ok. Thanks for clearing that up. Sometimes it's hard to understand someone when English is their second language.

@Spideron Are you saying English isn't his first language?

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@faint Semantics?
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@faint 2000-2007. 7 or 8, depends on how you look at it.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@faint 7 years, actually. But hey, you're the one who asked for a system after the 64.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@LilC Yes they did. 2 was the 8th best selling on the GC. I agree they need to change their image. They could be the company that is still kid-friendly, but has plenty of the mature games that are selling on the Xbox and PlayStation.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@faint Also, you said the PS4 has 30 3rd Party games that sold over a million. The GameCube has about 19.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@faint I'll give you 2, 3, and code, but Zero actually sold over a million. And when did I say anything about exclusives?
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@faint Well, over a million sales is better then the <150,000 you said Resident Evil sold on the Wi U.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@faint OK, how about Resident Evil And Resident Evil 4 on the GC? Both broke 1 million sales.

The GameCube also had an install base of over 21 million.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@IceClimbers What if it was exclusive triple A 3rd party support?
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
@faint What they do need, though, is triple A 3rd party support. That way Nintendo can bring in more fans, and thus more profit.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its Third-Party Focus to Nindies
There are plenty of great "Nindies" available on the Wii U. However, I still think the Shovel Knight Amiibo is a bad idea.
Re: Review: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (New 3DS)
@Jayvir Yeah, doesn't sound like my kind of game, then.
Re: Review: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (New 3DS)
Not sure if this game is creepy, disturbing, or both.
