I prefer the old style, but in the end a game like monkey island revolves around its' humor and puzzles. And the art style can aid in this, but does not determine wether a game is good. All games must evolve, else there is no sense in buying them after the first installment. Some things, like art style might just take some getting used to for some. And in a game like monkey island, I'm sure that no matter the choice of art style, it'll be a great game!
Given the limited capabilities of the switch, I don't think the game looks that bad. If you have ever played around with shaders and textures on minecraft on your phone, you'll appreciate the way the water looks and even has reflection, while still running smoothly. That this means other textures take a hit, like static grass instead of dynamic grass, well I can forgive that if it leads to a fluent game. I just hope gameplay is any good.
@DrJoson I loved samus returns. But I hated the timed part with the drill. That was un-metroid, and nearly caused me to stop playing the game. Luckily I persevered and still think it's one of the best 2d metroids.
I like a sibscription service like that of google and microsoft. Where I get to play but not own a host of games for a small fee, but I don't want to pay for one game and not know if I can keep playing it because a company decides they do not support it anymore.
@TechaNinja No. I need this to happen. Best game in the series. I actually liked x better than 2. I'm hoping I don't have to wait another 1-2 years for this gem.
@matdub it's somewhere in between. You can adjust the settings so it's an arcade racer. But you can also adjust the setting to get a sim. It depends on what you want. It really is a racer for everyone.
@Multi I don't know if you already bought it, but if not, then wait a bit longer for a patch. It's as bugridden as fresh cowdung on a hot summers day. Besides the bugs, it's definitely worth a play.
In Dragons dogma, you sometimes have to wriggle free of a monster. Ever since I play this game, I started getting joycon drift. But only on that specific (left) joycon. My other joycon are all fine.
I'm all for branching out. As long as the switch doesn't miss out on future installments (I'm looking at you, monster hunter) because they start preferring other consoles to the switch.
I think it's smart business copying what works. Í hate Sony bashing on Nintendo for their ideas, and thén shamelessly copying them. However, Sony seems to have amended their ways of late. So let's hope we can put this whole childish rivalry aside once and for all, and focus on the great experiences both companys bring us.

Re: After Months Of 'Switch Pro' Rumours, Nintendo Officially Unveils The Nintendo Switch OLED Model
@michellelynn0976 Also, I still have the original day 1 switch. So for me there's also the battery boost.

Re: Here's The First Official Netflix Trailer For Dragon's Dogma
Does it have wolves hunting in packs?
And someone mentioning this at least once every episode?
Otherwise it's not true to the core material..

Re: Switch Is Getting An Officially-Licensed Mario Kart Racing Wheel
@Shiryu Well, as long as it recognises the pedals as analog input, I'm happy. 😀
Re: Switch Is Getting An Officially-Licensed Mario Kart Racing Wheel
@Shiryu If it's compatible with grid, it's a day one for me.
