StarDust - did you even play the games or did you just judge it by the cartoon?
Also, this is the first time I've seen a mainstream Pokémon game get this kind of score. People rave over the main series games usually. Does this deserve this score? Maybe it does, but it's okay as an expansion to Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
I know we have no Majora's Mask, but a whole new company is on board now! Activision has a large back catalog and I'm very excited to see what they'll release on the Virtual Console!
"As for the comment about colorizing from XD375, I'm pretty sure he meant more like what Capcom was doing with the Mega Man Anniversary Collection before it was canceled. Other examples include Wario Land 2 and Link's Awakening DX, of course."
Yes, that is exactly what I had meant. I even had the Mega Man Anniversary Collection and Link's Awakening in mind. ^^
If Pokémon is released, I hope they contain connectivity with other games. I don't see them releasing any Pokémon games unless they can connect with one another.
I think it's possible that they could add the option, though. Mario Golf on the Virtual Console has some empty slots for characters from the Game Boy game. I don't think Nintendo would be as cheap as to leave them there unless they had plans for it.
That said, if Transfer Pak emulation is available, I don't see why Game Link emulation isn't. :]
Oh, and if Nintendo colourized the old Game Boy games, they'd all get second buys from me. _
Majora's Mask was the best Zelda game in my opinion.
I'm still worried about the emulation, though, and if it is good, I want Donkey Kong 64.
The only other game that requires the Expansion Pak is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, hailed as the best in the franchise. What are the chances of us getting that game?
Hi guys. Couldn't find an introduction thread, so I'll post here:
I'm a LONG time reader of Virtual Console Reviews (and I mean a LONG time - long before The Virtual Console Archive had its name changed), reader of WiiWare World since its launch, a reader of Nintendo Life ever since sometime last year when I noticed the name at the bottom of the VC-Reviews page.
My name is XD375 and I'm a fan of retro gaming and the like.
I've communicated with the staff through email a couple times about news and stuff, and I always wanted to join this community. I recognize all the regulars as I always read the news comments as well as many threads, so I already have respect for [most of] you. -_^
Anyway, this change is as good a time as ever to jump into the mix. There's been plenty of times when I've wanted to comment and I'm glad I'll become part of one of my favourite communities on the 'net.
I'm a major dweeb (look at my display pic, I'm wearing safety goggles and eating a GoldenEye cartridge) but I love it.
I always wondered why all three sites didn't act as one - it makes sense and I don't have to view three different sites, and I happen to get on this site at least once every two minutes (more realistically, every half hour to an hour) as the Virtual Console is my favourite part of next-gen gaming.
Anyway, I hope to be able to hang out with you guys and stuff, as you are among the coolest on the 'net.

"DSIware.....What a disappointment...
What the HELL Reggie!? Where is this quality stuff you said DSiWare was striving for!?"
My thoughts exactly about almost the entire DSiWare catalog. ;-;

Re: THQ is having a Big Huge sale; God: The Game in Limbo
Grant Kirkhope works there. Grant freaking Kirkhope. He recently left Rare to pursue a job as BHG's sound director.
Grant is the guy who made music for games such as GoldenEye, the Banjo-Kazooie series, Donkey Kong 64, Viva Piñata, and many other Rare games.
I recently talked to him about it and he told me that there are a few people interested in buying BHG, as stated in this article.
Re: Rejoice! The DSi Gets a Virtual Console After All
Oh, and Reggie says they haven't talked about a DSi Virtual Console yet. :

Re: Talking Point: Copyright and Video Games
Pac-Man is playable on Wii through the Pac-Man World series.
EDIT: Yes, THE arcade Pac-Man. (The Namco Museum series too now that I think about it...)
Re: Don’t Stop Believing In More Downloadable Tracks For Rock Band
Oh, and Don't Stop Believing is Amazing.
Re: Don’t Stop Believing In More Downloadable Tracks For Rock Band
I'd get OLD SpongeBob songs, but none of the post-movie seasons stuff.
Re: The End Of The World Starts In Europe
@The Fox
Let's hope it does - many of us want it. It's among my favourite games of all time.
