Re: Video Game History Foundation Calls Out Nintendo's "Destructive" 3DS & Wii U eShop Closure

If this is your biggest problem in life, you have no problems.

nothing is being lost, all of the data still exists to think that all media must be available in the most easy to access forms is both unfair and unrealistic. If youre hoping Nintendo will condone piracy, stop waiting because people are going to do it anyway because they never cared it was illegal in the first place.

“ There's a completely useless open-world aspect crowbarred in. You can run around massive empty environments for absolutely no reason during diplomatic strolls. There are tons of re-used assets…in the end, the whole thing just comes off as a sloppy effort that's been stitched together with the minimum of effort and booted out the door with a premium price-tag attached.”

For a second I thought you were talking about Pokémon Legends Arceus. 🙃

I think Electrode might be able to fill a very specific niche within the extremely ghost meta as the game’s fastest user of foul play.

I see a lot of Mimikyu and Dragapult in my games and I think this will be a good counter.

I’ll think I’d knock Typhlosion down a peg, but the list is really well written

Let's not overlook the positives in these scenarios, Psychonauts 2 would never have succeded without intervention, Nintendo is making increasingly better games, and the big companies know they can't monopolize the industry it simply isn't possible.

New independent developers are always popping up making things that captivate the hearts nad minds in their own special way (Undetale, pressure washing simulator etc.)

Big companies becoming better, means that they realize that they have to compete against other improiving companies.
