@Suketoudara Because Mario Odyssey was made with an in-house engine, where as Echos/Awakening & Princess Peach Showtime where made with UE4 which had a bad track record on the switch.
@UltimateOtaku91 Master Detective Archives, Worlds End Club and Tribe Nine weren't made solely by Too Kyo they were all co-developed with other studios. Kodaka even mentions the Rain Code IP belongs to Spike Chunsoft.
@Magician I think it has more to do with where PG was heading because Inaba the CEO was just making bad choice after bad choice thinking live service was the future for the company, it's also no secret PG is somewhat crumbling internally with a lot of the big talent leaving.
@bert0503 People are leaving because they don't agree with Atsushi Inaba their CEO and overall PG have just burned a lot of goodwill from their past contractors. Also I doubt MS would want to buy them after they got burned so hard by PG with how Scalebound turned out.
It's no hidden secret PG took money meant for Scalebound to only put it into other projects and they also did the same to Granblue Fantasy Relink. The only reason they got away with it is because people pitied them for years as an underdog company, after Babylon Falls flopping people have long run out of pity for them.
@Axecon Platinum aren't really worth buying out when their top talent is gone and they don't own any IP's, let's be real no one is rushing to buy them for just TW101. It also doesn't help that Platinum have burnt a lot of the goodwill they had in the industry with pissing off many of the developers/publishers they did contract work for.
As much as I use to pity Platinum and defend them, I hope they don't get bought out by another company because PG created this mess their in they don't really deserve an easy out and if the top talent is gone they aren't worth much.
@nitrolink PG don't own the Nier IP that belongs to Square, even then SE really don't need PG all they need is Taura that has been proven when he was the only member of PG involved with Nier Replicant.
@johnedwin Nintendo themselves making it isn't going to change anything especially with how terrible ToTK ran, it also doesn't help that the Switch itself is very outdated hardware at this point.
@Jade37 Except the reviews for Dawntrail weren't pretty negative, the reception to it overall was pretty mixed in that there was people who enjoyed it and those who hated it. As for the healer strike the only people who care about that is those who main as healers, outside of that they are just laughed at for something so dumb.
@donv2135 A game doing bad in sales probably isn't going to do that much and it wouldn't put an end to the franchise since Pokemon is so much more than just the console games.

Re: Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam Has Been Delayed Until 2026
@atmb82 The issue isn't even HD graphics it's just that Level-5 has garbage management as if that wasn't obvious at this point.

@OstianOwl If anything the SAG-AFTRA strike did more damage especially after certain union VA's were trying to flip games like Genshin & Hades 2.

@Arawn93 The general consentions I see mostly for Rise is it's a good game but one that was heavily held back by the Switch.

@Rhaoulos It was Bioware who made Dark Brotherhood not Square... also that game had went through so much behind the scene drama with Ken Penders.
