@COVIDberry First off, there IS no game card. This is a digital only release, and a compact one at only 3.8 gigs for all three games. Secondly, I bought the game and am currently watching my friend fight the first level boss of Sigma 2. We have had zero slowdown or technical issues. Smooth 60 here. Some aliasing, but seems normal. So....... has it been patched? I'm trying to make some sense out of the horrifying article I just read.
@Shiryu the game is amazing, bought on sale for 5 bucks and couldn't stop playing. . I haven't played turrican before. Is the collection on switch worth buying?
STILL no response from devs on the bugs? That's pretty screwed up dude. I bought the game a while back, haven't played it yet. I collect for switch. Hope that when I play I won't have issues like some of you have had. Tired of developers falling short. I remember the bloodstained switch fiasco. Also just stopped paying for x box game pass after the travesty that was outriders. Square Enix should stick to jrpgs. Heard they patched it but don't care. Too much trouble. Time is money. Love my switch overall though. Favorite console of all time, and that's saying so much.
New physical games flying off the shelf and old rpgs starting to become collectible. Hard to find copies of Crash 4 and KOA and MHR at launch, and now u gotta pay over 70 for new copies of diablo and xenoblade 2 and ys 8 and the like on e bay if not more. Sometimes over a hundie. Certainly makes me proud and glad to be a collector of quality physical games on the nintendo switch. Note: seems like it's mostly the high profile jrpgs that cost more. If you want action ports, you will have no trouble finding copies of darksiders 1 and 2, AC rebel collection for under 30. Also, the outer world's is cheap too. Just be aware, both of the last games I mentioned are not entirely free of additional downloads. There is a 6 gig update for TOW. But AC has the first game entirely on the cart, u just need to download the second. Not so bad if you just want the first game. Not nearly as bad as the bioshock fandangle. No full game included in cart. Huge downloads for all games. The only game I don't mind doing that for is borderlands. I even sold my copy of wolfenstein 2. But I kept doom. But I'll never buy DE. Screw that noise. Physical all the way. BEST VALUE rn? KoA. Also, heads up for shop games that have super low file sizes. Can't wait for kaze yobedis!!!! Need to get my paycheck first, but think ita out already. For those that don't know, it's supposedly the spiritual successor to dkc.
@MidnightOdyssey Yeah there is a niche fan base for Zelda 2. Personally I see the game as a misunderstood masterpiece. When reviewed on a technical level, and not as a Zelda game, it ranks very well in most categories. It is one of a handful of games that are misunderstood by the masses. For fans like me, the influence is definitely felt on modern classics like Shovel Knight and Volgar the Viking.
Yeah it's not dark. I dig the game. And also I could not get into Binding Of Isaac either. I appreciate it but can't get used to the controls. Undermine ia definitely a different genre also. Zelda like roguelike dungeon crawler, not twin stick shooter Zelda like roguelike dungeon crawler. It's kinda goofy, but so far feels like a comfy new pair of shoes. But like I said, I go slow with roguelikes, so I'm not too far in yet.
@FredsBodyDouble I wouldn't say SO many good ones. I would say a handful, meaning ten or twenty, and that is across all genres. If you prefer dungeon crawlers, I would say the top tier list is around 5: Hades, Sparklite, RAD, Undermine, Mana Spark, and Swords Of Ditto for co op. Twin Stick shooter wise, around the same: Enter The Gungeon, Exit The Gungeon, Nuclear Throne, Binding Of Isaac, Hotline Miami Collection, and Risk Of Rain 2 (kinda?). Platformer/Metroidvania about the same number again: Rogue Legacy, Dead Cells, Flinthook, Downwell, Steamworld Dig (the first one), you get the gist of what I'm saying. The genre may be thriving, but over saturated wouldn't be how I view it. Sure there may be alot of copycats, but only a few standouts that I would consider top tier.
@gcunit If that's what is keeping you from trying the game, I would say you may be surprised. It doesn't feel dark content wise like Binding Of Isaac. It has a dark color palet, but it's not harsh on the eyes. It works. I Personally don't find anything wrong with the game. I'm enjoying it. And also, its not a shooter like Binding Of Isaac, and neither is it a grueling Gauntlet type hack fest, where monsters are attracted to you like a magnet at all times. Rather, it feels perfectly balanced like something like Sparklite, RAD or Blossom Tales. Also it's available on X Box game pass in case you were unaware and have access to that service.
@Ryu_Niiybuama I would definitely try it again to make sure you were giving it a proper chance. I Personally am enjoying it immensely. To me it feels like it sits right next to Sparklite, RAD, Hades, Mana Spark and Swords Of Ditto as one of the greatest of the dungeon crawler Roguelikes.
Anyone who has a Switch and also an X Box with game pass can try this game out currently on game pass "for free", before deciding whether or not to buy it on Switch. I am enjoying it so much that I've decided to buy it for my Switch. I often try these types of games on game pass before i make the dive on Switch. I prefer collecting these types of games on Switch for many reasons, including the portability and better peripheral options. The game is very similar to Sparklite gameplay wise, kinda more fluid and floaty, but just as good. A good comparison play control wise would be, different genre i know, but UnderMine would be to Sparklite what Rogue Legacy is to Dead Cells. Less refined, but just as tight and brilliant. Less bright color palet wise than Sparklite also, at least at first, as I haven't gotten too far in yet. I take my time with roguelikes. Excellent game though. So far im agreeing with the review. Nintendo Life hasn't steered me wrong since i bought my Switch shortly after it launched and began reading the site's reviews.
@JuanGartner You just need to stick with it. Try the long sword. Have you been able to try Monster Hunter World? It took me a while but I had someone show me some stuff and now I'm into it! It's hard to know when the monsters are dying. There's no health bar on purpose. Think of it as somewhere between Dark souls and Destiny. Confusing yet amazing. Just play it and use the force, luke. learn the hard way.
@Retro_Player_77 Yes!!!! This game is amazing, I'm playing the demo and it's incredible. Also, unlike most of you, I'm a MH newb. I resisted the series until recently, finally got into world because I knew this was on the way for my switch. So I can give you a perspective from a newb angle. RIse feels better than world to me in some ways. More open, serene, better art style, and theme. And faster, snappier, more purposeful, Intended, if that makes sense, and what a gorgeous game for the switch. Also, I agree, can not friggin wait for Shin Megani Tensei 5. Been playing them since the old days. (I'm 40)
Doom eternal is just too good on my x box one x and full hd tv. It deserves to be played in all my glory. Don't get me wrong I'll buy it on switch to play on the go but It will be a compromised experience. So many people havent played this game and it is such a great game. It's a system seller, or at least should have been. So beyond the first one and the first one was great.
Good game. Bought dex for 15 because I owned way remastered already and got akane free. Will admit I'm close to giving up on Dex already, but akane is hooking me. Imagine nuclear throne meets the crazy 88 chapter from kill bill volume 1. Definitely an addictive roguelike. Alot of peoole havw compared it to hld. But im here to tell you that it is Similar to hyper light drifter in battle controls only. This is not a boring, confusing Zelda clone slash abstract pixel art painting. Rather, it is actually closer to a smash tv clone. Think multiple fast rounds in an arena, but a roguelike. Or another comparison could be wizadd of legends but a smaller arena, and techniques and uogrades inztead of spells, with a more limited enemy variety and a different ashtetic.
Another list where the authors obviously haven't even played very far into some of the games. They created an article based on the general consensus and you all eat it up. Some of these games are trash, a whole lot of must inckudes are missing, and also genres aren't properly reoresented and explored. I feel like gaming articles are such a scam. They teach people about games In small increments doling out information, and are so incomplete. I respect ninte do life for their reviews, but these articles are click bait.

Re: Review: Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection - Ryu Hayabusa Deserves Better Than This
@COVIDberry Okay, thanks for clarifying! I don't purchase out of country disks, so I'm glad that there's not a US physical available.
