I'll definitely own at least a few of them. The amount I own will depend on the functionality of amiibo in future games. They're already getting support in a lot of Nintendo's upcoming first party games, but only Smash Bros. and maybe Mario Kart 8's amiibo functionality interests me. I'm sure we'll see better use of amiibo in future games, though. And they're definitely making a game made specifically for amiibo.
I buy physical games so I should have no problems with the USB ports. Then again, I probably won't buy a second adapter since I'll probably never have more than four people that are die-hard Gamecube Controller users, and I'd be more than happy to use the Pro Controller, which I'm sure some of my friends will use too.
This doesn't necessarily mean Bayonetta 2 sold bad. All of the top ten games are huge sellers, there was no way Bayonetta 2 was going to compete with them, but it still could have sold decent.
I don't like the whole "Wii U is a secondary console" thing. If you're going to own a PS4/Xbox One/PC, you're going to need a Nintendo console with it, or else you're missing out on a lot. It works both ways. You need at least two gaming platforms to get a good majority of the quality titles that come out.
Wii U only owners are always told to shut up whenever they complain about games not coming to the Wii U, but when there's ONE game exclusive to the Wii U that PS4/Xbox One owners want, they start complaining like five year olds.
Anyone remember when Notch made a "Wii U has no games" joke and then claimed it was because he wanted Zelda? I personally think they were trying to make a deal with Nintendo to put Minecraft on Wii U, but they probably demanded a lot of money and Nintendo refused, so Notch went on Twitter and took a tantrum. That's just a theory.
Despite owning an Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PS Vita, I haven't bought Minecraft on any of those systems and I have no plans to. I have the superior PC version and it wasn't anything that would make me want to buy the game multiple times. However, having the inventory and map on the Wii U GamePad would be really useful, and I would probably buy a Wii U version.
Despite owning other platforms, I won't be buying this and I won't be buying the Resident Evil Remake either. A lot of Resident Evil's success has come from Nintendo platforms. Resident Evil for Gamecube, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Zero, and Resident Evil Revelations are my four favorites from the series, and they were on NIntendo platforms. Resident Evil Revelations was best on the 3DS and the combined sales of the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U versions weren't that much higher than the 3DS version alone. The Wii U version may have done worse than other versions, but it had a much smaller install base compared to the others and did considerably well based on that, not to mention that a lot of Wii U owners may have already played the original on the 3DS. As for the Resident Evil Remake, that was originally remade for the Gamecube and was a success. The fact that both of these games are skipping Nintendo platforms but will be on all others besides the Vita is complete and utter bullcrap. I refuse to buy either of them.
Right now I need to just wait for more information. The new ones are kind of ugly in my opinion and I would rather get a normal XL for Smash Bros. Plus, seeing these won't come until next year, I don't really feel like holding off for something that I could just get the circle pad pro for. I hardly use Miiverse on my 3DS so the faster internet speeds won't matter much. I don't like the design of the second stick, stylus, and trigger buttons. My only concern is that a lot of games will only be playable on the new systems. If that's the case I'll hold off until the new ones come out, but otherwise I'd rather get a normal XL, which I'll probably be able to find cheap since these news ones are coming.
What about the Wii U/PS4/Xbox One/PC/3DS/PS Vita combo?
Quite frankly the Wii U has been my main console for a while, I've been playing it even more than my PC. I bought both a PS4 and Xbox One back in July because 1. all of the great indies they have and 2. E3 showed me that there would be plenty of great games coming next year. I am fortunate enough to be in the financial position to be able to afford all of those consoles, but for those who aren't I'd wait until 2015 to get them if I were you.
Frankly I'd be more worried about all of the day one DLC Ubisoft uses. I'm not buying Watch Dogs 9 times across multiple platforms and languages just to get all of the content. I'll get it when it's in the bargain bin for PS4 or Wii U if it has cool GamePad features (not getting Xbone version because none of my friends got it for that and the PC version requires UPlay sooooooo no).
And as it's been said many times, if you don't like the car don't use it.
Used my Platinum to get the first one, luckily I haven't bought the second one yet. I'll be getting the physical version, but Nintendo better give me eshop credit or a choice of another game to make up for this.
EA does this to their servers for games that have been out less than two years, forcing you to buy the new game even though it's pretty much exactly the same game as the older version. I don't think this is a big deal.
This better not get delayed for 5+ months like Flipnote Studio 3D. We still don't have a release date for that either. I hope we get Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter within the next week.
I didn't ask for Dr. Luigi, or Rosalina in Smash Bros., or a free Celebi, or Hyrule Warriors, or Sonic Lost World DLC. All I wanted was a released date, but instead we got "Spring 2014".
@HeatBombastic I meant the 3DS has been out for two years. Sorry, I should have been more clear. While Majora's Mask 3D would make great game, I would like to see a new Zelda on the 3DS.
Make a NEW Zelda please. It's been two years and we have no information on an orginal Zelda on the 3DS. The Wii U Zelda won't be out until at least next year, so in the meantime we're getting another remake. It's time we get a new Zelda title.
How long is Nintendo going to take to announce a release date for Wii Fit U? Their website still says it will be out in the Launch Window, but that's already over. I'm actually really looking forward to this game.
I'm hoping for information about Wii Fit U and Game and Wario. Both are scheduled for Launch Window, and I'd like to see some release details. Also, I'd like to see Pikmin 3.

I was hoping for Cranky Kong but whatever.
Re: Masahiro Sakurai Admits That Super Smash Bros. for Wii U May Be His Last in the Series
By the time the next game comes out he'll have backwards aged into an infant and will be unable to make the game.
Re: Review: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (3DS)
Too much water though, that ruins the game for me.

Re: Nintendo Download: 11th September (North America)
0% for all the Just Dance games, but I though Wii U owners only like Just Dance?
Re: North America is Getting the Limited Edition of Hyrule Warriors
When I saw the title, my immediate reaction was "it's only at the Nintendo World Store" and I was right.

Re: Talking Point: Important Steps to Bring the 3DS and Wii U Closer Together
I'd buy a lot more Virtual Console games if I had the ability to buy it once and have it on both my 3DS and Wii U.
Also, make it possible to Streetpass if your 3DS is near a Wii U, sort of like those relay spots. That would be cool.
