Yeah F-zero 2 was for the Stellaview (but I count it as a SNES game). Realistically I don't see it coming to the VC anytime soon (if at all) but it would still be awesome to have.
This is a really great game, I still have the original cart. But since my Genesis (actually it's a Genesis 2 if you want to get technical) still works (and is hooked up to of all things a Commadore 64 monitor) I don't know if I'll download this when it comes out, but the audio cable for my Genesis is starting to go so I may get it.
On another note I love what happens when you put a non-Sonic game into the expansion slot! When the "NO WAY" screen comes up all that you have to do is press the A, B and C buttons at the same time and you'll get to instantly do one of the bonus stages as either Sonic or Knuckles!
Concerning Wii Music i'll pass, I never liked the whole music genre after learning to play several instruments (quite well), games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band seemed fake and scripted like a DVD-game. It's even more so with Wii Music because as long as you keep waggling your Wiimote you pass the song. And honestly if somebody wants to listen to an awesome Nintendo soundtrack just listen to Brawl's.
I'm finding that my PC's backwards compatibility works just fine. I can still play the first 3 Duke Nukem games just fine, though I have to put up with PC sounds on the second and no music on the third, but I can use my DOS emulator to fix that (except I have no idea how to work with command line code, but it can't be too hard ) Tomb Raider 2 works fine, Jazz JackRabbit 2 plays excellently and any 8-bit games that I have I just drop into 256 color mode to play. All though there were some games of mine that had PHAYLE (yes it is pronounced fail) moments (Serious Sam 2 looked like it was being played on a Virtual boy lol) a quick change in gamma and a switch to 16-bit textures fixed all that. but yes PC's are very risky for game consoles (my dads crashed many times while playing games) I find that it's the new PC games that have the problems because if your specs aren't high enough you have to upgrade, but when they are high enough all that the game does is crash on you for no apparent reason.
Reggie didn't say an outright announcement but he did say that there would be an advantage to "feel" later this week (whatever that means), also Nintendo is having a private conference tomorrow so there is still (some) hope that Nintendo's hardcore game isn't Animal Crossing
(sigh) A lack of hardcore games from Nintendo has once again caused members of this site to be upset (myself included). Oh well, least everyone who's upset at nintendo's E3 conference is agreeing with each other
Hmmm, they must have renamed it because when I read the article it referred to the controller as the Newton, oh well this isn't the first time a product has been renamed
Edit: When I read the article it never stated that the controller was made by Microsoft, I just assumed that something that high profile would be 1st party
Wow Microsoft just confirmed "Avatars" now, I found out about all of Microsoft's E3 secrets about a month ago thanks to some database hackers and coverage by GamesRadar, Have they confirmed the "Newton" controller (wiimote clone) yet?
I know that this post has nothing to do with this article but I just had to tell somebody.
Ooh the Fire Emblem DS website just went live! (I'd post the link but i'm on my Wii Right now, if you want the story just go to http://www.gamesradar.com and look under News)
Yeah i'd like to see another Zelda game for the Wii, especially since the Gamecube got 3 Zelda games (not counting collections and Ocarina Remakes)
@ Bass XO
I'd really like it if they used Pit's Brawl model in the Kid Icarus game as well. The F-zero bounty hunting sounds cool, and is a welcome addition to the franchise so long as: 1. It's not uber-difficult like F-zero GX'S story and 2. The Racing is kept as the most important aspect of the game.
F-zero X is incredible, but F-zero GX is just that much better (especially cuz I got it for only $8). But GX has a MUCH steeper difficulty slope than X, so if you're new to racing games get X, but if you're a racing veteran get GX.
I don't think that you can criticise the graphics for a game like this on one condition, frame rate. F-zero X had terrible graphics but ran at 60 fps. But there is no excuse for bad graphics if there is a low frame rate. What would you say the frame rate for this game is?
Oh and i'm curious exactly how long is "awhile" until you post the review for this game. it would be nice to know
awesome, awesome game. Can anyone tell me where the big key is in the 3rd dark world dungeon? (I got pissed off cuz I couldn't find it and started doing the next dungeon lol)
Edit: never mind I found it (though I found the Titan Mit and got the tempered sword first; and no I didn't use a guide )
This game looks pretty good but I'm still going to wait for the review, if the game scores well it may allow me to pass the time between now and when my MK Wii copy arrives. (CURSE YOU FREE SHIPPING!!!!!!!!)
meh, since i'm the kind of person that doesn't spend much money, i've only (gasp) purchased 4000 Wii points in the entire year that i've had my Wii. In doing so I still have 1000 blocks free and 1700 Wii points. I knew something like this would happen to the VC eventually so I for one am glad that I didn't download games every week. now I suppose I'll just get another game (or two) that I didn't download before and play through it. That should keep me contempt until the next "good" week.
Call me crazy but I don't think that this Sonic the Hedgehog is the SMS version. While it is true that the MD and SMS versions of Sonic 1 were different, they aren't different enough to both be put out on the VC. Instead it may actually be a Sonic the Hedgehog Wiiware game. Again call me crazy but the specs for Wiiware would be perfect for a classic 2 or 2.5D Sonic.
I'm not complaining or anything but could someone answer me this: Why is it that practically all of the neogeo games on the vc are fighting games? ( the neogeo came out when I was like 1 or so so I don't know what kind of games came out for it )
Hey knucklessonic8 I was able to send one of the songs (5 total) working on #'s 2-5 right now but my internet=EPIC FAIL right now so I don't know if or when you'll get the other four songs. At least you get the main theme
This game is excellent and is a steal at 800 Wii points. But if you aren't very good at racing games you start to get your ass kicked after a couple of courses.
This game seems interesting, hope nintendo starts selling the balance board w/o Wii Fit though cuz I don't want to have to buy Wii Fit just so I can play this.

@ Mickeymac
Yes, there was an F-zero 2, it is for the SNES and was only released in Japan.
Re: USA VC Update: Super Fantasy Zone and Gley Lancer
This week was the best VC week that North America has had in awhile, I hope that we get F-zero 2 in another import week

Pretty cool, very ugly. Not cool enough to import when I have a perfectly good CC.

It's not all doom and gloom for hardcore gamers (yet), Reggie said he had another announcement that he was going to make in a few days

Re: USA WiiWare Update: Major League Eating

Comparing the two games in sales was a joke, sorry if you thought I was serious
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Major League Eating
Meh, while i'm sure somebody in the world is going to like this game, it isn't my cup of tea. (ten bucks this game sells better than Star Soldier R)

I'm rooting for Kid Icarus Wii and F-zero Z to be shown at E3 tomorrow.
And for those of you who care YAY today's my birthday!!! (actually it's on July 13th but it's still the 13th where I live, time zones FOR THE LOSE!)

Re: Prepare To Eat Until You Belch On Monday
Hey Wiiware World, if the only games released in North America on Monday are this and another sub par Neogeo beat 'em up can we get another fail pic
( I recommend the one with Homer cooking a bowl of cereal on a stove)

The Sonice CD rom was 80 megs so I doubt that'll hit the VC until a storage solution is worked out.

Re: EU VC Releases - 20th June - Epic Fail
@ RevolverLink
My point exactly, while you Europeans have every right to complain, it isn't as bad as you're making it out to be.
Moving on to two weeks from now when everyone in Europe is complaining about no vc games again I recommend using this pic for the post ( http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/681370/Epic_Fail_Thursday_Music_Failures.html )
(that was annoying typing that url with the Wii internet channel)

Look at it this way guys, within the last 2 weeks Europe has gotten more vc games than America.
