I'd like it if nintendo included final smashes. But I don't know if a DS cart has enough memory for trophies and stickers without taking away certain play modes and characters. Also I'd like a stage editor and Wi-fi support for it.
@ Digiki
There's really no point in debating which Smash Brothers character is the best/worst because your choice depends on your playing style. I for one am actually quite good with Captain Falcon, while I can't stand King Dedede. I do however agree with you that Jigglypuff sucks!
If they did remake it for the DS I would like Nintendo to add online multiplayer and a few more characters (possibly Zelda/Sheik, Ganondorf, Sonic, Bowser, Marth, and oh why not.... Mr. Resetti )
Well Nintendo doesn't necessarily have to make a brand new Smash Bros. game for the DS. They could always remake the N64 original and add a few extra things sorta like what they did with Super Mario 64 DS.
Edit: I'm not saying that Nintendo should do that, I'm just saying that they have the ability to do it.
I can't tell you guys how many games have felt ackward to me because they didn't have southpaw support (I'm looking at you The Godfather (Wii) and SSX Blur )
Yay I'm not alone in the suffering that is the U.S. school system I should count myself lucky though since my sister had to start two weeks ago (then again her classes start at noon )
All that you have to do to give someone 2000 points is tell them what the code on the back of a Wii Points Card is. Then that person types in the code on the Shop channel and receives the 2000 points.
@ Jogurt the Yogurt Yes, North America is usually abbreviated to America... but mainly in the USA. Canadians don't go around saying that their country is located in America because that just sounds weird. Especially since a lot of times United States of America is shortened to America.
@ x.SuperMario.x Oh, the sales are weekly I thought that it was done in total sales. (How come nobody tells me these things )
Edit: @ Dazza Nintendo's going to have to create WiiWare versions of a lot of its major series before that happens! (which can only be a good thing unless they do another Pokémon Ranch idea)
How Much longer are you guys going to do top twenty articles? I really like them but once there get to be a fair number of WiiWare games (40 or more) there isn't going to be a whole lot of movement in the top twenty anymore, and once we get around 70+ WiiWare games the top twenty chart's going to only change once in a blue moon. But at one game per week it's going to take awhile to get to that point so for now keep 'em coming
I wonder how the controls will be set up. Hopefully they'll implement a southpaw mode (since i'm left handed), otherwise things could get a little tricky for me...
Awesome! I have exactly the right number of Wii points to get both of these (I probably won't get them yet though since I just bought Metroid Prime for $7 a few days ago )
This really doesn't tell us anything except that nintendo's schedule for the vc is "We're putting out the games when we feel like it BAAAA!!!!" (obviously it isn't, I'm certain that NoA has a vc release calendar for the month they're just too stubborn to release it to the public) Speaking from a business standpoint though some secrecy is always good but not the level of secrecy that NoA is using concerning vc releases. (honestly is it REALLY that important to not tell us what games are coming out just a day or two early?!) But Nintendo must think that they know what they're doing since they've been around since the 70's ( Nintendo color TV game 6 anyone)
Edit: @ Corbie
Yeah, I know a good place to get retro games at a local flea market. Ironically they cost about the same as they do on the wii shop channel (plus tax) but who wants to go to a smelly old flea market when they can listen to the looping elevator music of the wii shop channel
Pong Toss is only eight bucks, and America is too full of morons to see your point. Honestly, I know people that don't even know the names of the planets of the solar system (yes they are all at least 15 years old)
Ok after further research I saw that Ocarina wasn't planning on being released for N64 DD and edited my previous comment accordingly. (actually you responded while I was editing it, damn wii browser and it's slow typing )
Actually Nintendo did make a CD add on for the N64 in 2000 but it only came out in Japan and was pretty much a joke. As for the SNES CD; Nintendo went with Philips because the contract that they had with Sony gave Sony control over the games that came out on it. But Philips released CRAP like Link: The Faces of Evil When the console hit the market
Is it ok if I complain that I don't have enough Wii points to download all three of these excellent titles
@ Kultist
I have met such a gamer! all that he plays are FPS games (and he skips ALL the cutscenes no matter what) and Wii sports (though I did trick him in to playing F-zero GX one time)
Let's not forget how difficult/annoying that it is to emulate N64 titles compared to games from other consoles even without all of the licensing issues.
The classic controller plays excellently and I actually prefer it to both Wiimote and Wiimote+Nunchuk control options. The wheel has to be my least favorite method of play though, I just find it really slippery and always seem to end up drifting the opposite way that I wanted to
I know what you mean, I'll just be out on the internet when all of a sudden BAM "Network not available please contact your system administrator" only to have it instantly say "you have a working network connection" sooo annoying.
I have a stupid question: Why is Europe (supposedly) getting a game about the AMERICAN Wild West before us!
My friend had a glitched Twilight Princess save file (one of the key NPC'S wasn't there) I thought that something was wrong with his disc at first so I put it on my Wii and used my disc, the little turd still wasn't there! Oh and because of where you were at the time of the glitch, Link got locked in the room with the broken cannon and couldn't warp out because Midna thought he WAS there!
My experience with both Oot and Lttp are different then most people as I played TP first. It made Ocarina seem like revisiting and old friend after ten years. And Lttp was wonderful due to the fact that my only other 2d Zelda i'd played before it was Oracle of Seasons, which was good but SOOOOO frustrating. I actually ended up BREAKING my SP over the fact that my guide (that only told me how to do three dungeons that I didn't need help on and how to get the Noble sword) LIED to me about the number of hits that it took to kill the final boss! (DAMN YOU ONYX WHY WON'T YOU DIE!!!!!)
Wow, that took forever to write with the Wii Browser
Well I used some small keys at the wrong places at the wrong time and never got stuck to the point where I had to start over again (all though I did have to adjust the water level 100+ times)
I can see the sales pitch now: "Are you having difficulty with aiming your 'Wii' when you've got to go, with Wii Potty Training you can master the art of pissing without any of the mess...."
I hear that! Since I figured out how to use my DOS emulator I've been playing my dad's old PC games from the early 90's (thank goodness he kept the installation CD'S) (for those of you who are wondering it DOES NOT use game ROM'S it uses the original software)
Well I was initially annoyed at this weeks releases and REALLY wanted to go on an angry rant, but then i thought "Why, what are the people here going to do that has any more influence over nintendo than me?". So I sat down and watched some of my Mr.Bean DVD'S (god that show's hilarious)
@ Everyone who wants more channels when the storage solution comes
A few more channels would be good but not a PERMANENT solution as people will still download more titles. instead here's what I thought up at 4 A.M. cuz I couldn't get to sleep: Make the Wii menu self extend itself when it is filled up, thisis actually a very easy thing to do because well THEY ALREADY DID IT WITH THE SAVE FILES SCREEN, think about it; the Wii menu is programmed pretty much the same way as the save files screen. Only the Wii menu's data array is a fixed length while the save file screen's is flexible. Think about it, in the save files screen you're given some space for icons for your save files, and when that space for images is used up a second page is created. All that nintendo has to do is change 10-30 lines in the Wii OS code and BAM you have a Wiimenu that can extend indefinitely (or at least until "insert method of storage solution here" runs out of space)
Good to see Nintendo address the problem. Also I (amazingly) still have 1000 blocks free in my Wii menu and that's with all of the peripheral channels installed (minus photo 1.1 but that thing's only 3 blocks).
What about Fireshark for the Genesis? I know that it isn't the BEST SHMUP but I thought that it was very good. And that's not Nostalgia talking because I just played it a few weeks ago
In some of the Mega Man pics that Wiiware world used for Mega Man 9 articles the arm cannon IS on his right arm, and on others the arm cannon is on his left arm. Weird, maybe he's ambodextrious?

Judging by the way VC releases have been lately we're about to enter the "good, good, good" part of the cycle

BEWARE OF THE WATER TEMPLE!! (actually it's not that hard of a dungeon, just some of the small keys are in REALLY retarded places)
