Re: Video: Here's Some Footage Of The Rayman Legends Challenges App

Oscarsome

@StreetPassWante Are you being serious? The greatest game of all time? Worth $150? Not even close.

The app is fun and it's nice that Ubisoft are trying to mend the broken hearts they, well, broke. However, I won't be buying this game anytime soon after its release. There are just too many better and non-backstabbing games being released at that time. I need to save my money. I'll buy it, probably, when I can find it cheap and used.

Re: Miiverse Now Available In Your Browser

Oscarsome

I think this a nice move for Nintendo to really push Miiverse. I will have it bookmarked on my phone and laptop for quick access. Plus, on an actual keyboard, I will be more tempted to write comments and scroll through everything faster.

Re: Talking Point: The Wii U's Identity Crisis

Oscarsome

There is a problem. People are so confused about what the Wii U is or people just simply do not know. They still think that the successor to the Wii hasn't been released yet. I can confirm that from hearing people say just that. This isn't speculation or guessing, many people here in the comments section agree that other people are confused.

And please do better with your commercials, Nintendo. They always look too "safe" and boring. As if you are just advertising to 5 year olds who are easily hypnotized by any new product. Advertise to everyone! This console can be for everyone, not just casuals. Don't go down that route again.

Re: New Legend Of Zelda Title Confirmed For Nintendo 3DS, Due Late 2013

Oscarsome

This looks so great! I love the return to the classic Link look! And this game is NOT a remake. Reggie said so and he clearly added that it was a new story and new dungeons. It is in the same world, of course. It is the same look and similar play style, it's what he meant. And I'm sure some returning locations, but it's a full new game.

Re: Video: This Animal Crossing: New Leaf Trailer Shows You Around

Oscarsome

LinandKo on YouTube show of the (Japanese) version of the game really well! If you want to know more and have some of those questions answered look for their YouTube channel!

Personally, this AC looks like the best one yet. City Folk felt like a big flop. It was pretty much a port of WW. But, of course, in this new one the grass still dies, too. ;.;

Re: New Mewtwo Form Revealed For Pokémon X & Y

Oscarsome

I think it's ridiculous when people claim that gen one was just pure amazingness and the top of creativity. People often say "Just look at Garbodor," well, look at Muk or Grimer? Or Ditto? Do we need three piles of goo? Zubat? Just a plain bat. Why do people not see this? I don't think no generation is ever perfect nor is it ever any less better than a previous generation. It's just a new one. If you hate this "Mewtwo-form" then cool. Just don't be so dramatic. Let's look at some real progressive things GameFreak is doing with X and Y.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2013 - Spring Edition

Oscarsome

None of these games are that appealing. Where's the real OOMPH or BAM? We've got remakes, sequels and the same old (Wario and Kirby's Epic Yarn, but now a palette switch?) I want to see something exciting! The Wonderful 101 is the only somewhat creative software on there. But something tells me it may be a flop.

Re: Reaction: Doom and Gloom Merchants on Wii U Being Nintendo's Last Home Console

Oscarsome

I don't even know what to say anymore. It seems like it has all been said over and over again. Their marketing for the Wii U was absolutely horrid. I have heard many people thinking that it's just a revision of the Wii and not an entirely new system. They don't have many interesting and exclusive titles. There's not a big killer-app on the system that would make people curious about the Wii U. To many people, the Wii U just comes off as dull and uninvolved. Nintendo needs to fix it and I'm pretty optimistic they will.

Re: Sakurai: Online Play Will Be Improved in Upcoming Smash Bros.

Oscarsome

The worst part about Smash Bros Brawl online: random matches were nearly impossible to set up (and wasn't there a lame two minute rule?). In order to play online I had to join forums and find people with my skill level and then play against them. It was an unnecessary extra step. I hope they fix this!

Re: GameStop: Wii U Will Need Great First Party Titles To Compete

Oscarsome

I do not think it's wrong of us to want new games NOW. The system just released and it's ridiculous that Nintendo did not accurately plan to have a steady stream of games being released. It's frankly a little embarrassing. You cannot release a new system and then say "Hey, one year from now we will have games! Right now enjoy some of these very few quality launch games and let them last you months!"
I bought a Wii U, because I know the games are coming, but it's almost a shame to look at my Wii U literally collecting dust as I sourly wait for anything to come to it (and fix the slow load times and bugs). The Wii U was simply not ready to be released. They should have waited until the end of this year.

Re: Miyamoto: Harnessing NFC On Wii U Is Our Priority Right Now

Oscarsome

What can NFC do to benefit games in a way that's, well, better than having to buy little figurines? I find that a waste of money and just terrible. I do not want to have to keep buying and buying little figurines or cards just to play a game. That game just seems like it would be a very mediocre title if it relied on NFC.

Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September

Oscarsome

@SpaceApe Agreed. Nintendo is in desperate need of some piece of redeeming software for the Wii U or it's just gonna get lost and become easily forgotten by the market. Sadly, I don't see Nintendo releasing anything anytime soon to redeem this. Perhaps Pikmin 3? But I doubt that'll be the strong hitter that will pull up the Wii U. They need more.

Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September

Oscarsome

For anyone that says that Ubisoft claims that they are holding the Wii U version back based on other reasons than a multi-platform release should read this:
http://www.digitalspy.com/gaming/news/a457208/ubisoft-explains-rayman-legends-wii-u-delay.html

The game WAS delayed just because it's habit to release all multi-platform games at the same time. Yep, fans are screwed over 20 days before release because Ubisoft does not want to break habit, completely ignoring common sense.

Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September

Oscarsome

It's a real bummer that Nintendo is lacking some quality games (first and third party titles). I feel that Nintendo released the Wii U at such an inappropriate time. They should have waited and finished up some strong first-party titles and then reached out to other third-party developers for some exclusive games. But, alas, I'm a hardcore Nintendo fan so of course I was going to put down the near $500 for a Wii U and a game. My mistake. The system itself is also quite buggy (not to mention horribly slow load times) meaning it seemed to be released a bit too early.

Now that Rayman Legends has "abandoned ship", it makes me pretty nervous for the Wii U's future. I'm also disappointed in Ubisoft for shafting fans like that. I'm glad they are releasing Legends for the other consoles, that's great! I hope they keep that in mind with the Wii U too, but the fact that Legends was completed already and less than a month away from being released only to instantly be terribly delayed just because it was going to go multi-platform? Why not just release Legends now and then release it for the other consoles later? Is Ubisoft worried people will have negatively reviewed the Wii U version, therefore hurting chances to sell more for the other systems? Or is there just some new-found hatred for Nintendo? I'm confused, Ubisoft.

Re: Ubisoft: Nintendo Will Make "Necessary Changes" To Wii U

Oscarsome

I've never really like Ubisoft, anyways. I felt they're a pretty mediocre video game software company at best. Things like these just make me lose even more support for them (from the little I already had). I was gonna buy Rayman Legends, I enjoyed Origins and felt Legends seemed even better, but now what's the point? Come September there will be much better games than anything Ubisoft will have. Enjoy your stagnant sales, Ubisoft!

Re: Paper Mario: Sticker Star Advert Gets Literal

Oscarsome

It's a bit depressing that the commercial had this much effort put into it when the game itself felt really bare-bones. If a commercial gets this much attention, the game should get tons more. It was a great game, for sure, but it could have been so much better. They took out so many thing things (like Bowser isn't able to speak? What?). It was just missing the Paper Mario charm, I suppose. It was still nicely made.

Re: The Big Wii U Survey

Oscarsome

I really want some big-hit game announced soon and to come out soon (not after E3). It just seems like I'm not gonna be buying any Wii U game anytime soon, which is a bummer since I would love to play with my new system. Perhaps Rayman Legends will be the only one....

Re: New Trainers and Town in Pokémon Black & White 2

Oscarsome

Is there really anything new? So, there's ONE new town and probably like 5 new routes. It's just pretty much just milking the series and not doing anything significant. TWO versions, too? That makes it more pointless. This should have been just one new "Gray".

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Considering Alternative Names for Wii U

Oscarsome

They most definitely NEED to change the name. I feel the name just sucks, plainly put.
That, and they need to tell their customers that "Hey, this is a new console!" Many people thought the 3DS was just a revised DS like all the other ones, but it clearly isn't.

Or, who knows, just call it Wii 2. It works for Playstation.

Re: Game of the Year: You Decide!

Oscarsome

Super Mario 3D Land is definitely the game of the year. Skyward Sword and Pokemon: Black/White are close seconds, but the gameplay in Mario is new, thanks to the 3D, and I have been pleasantly amazed in every aspect.
