@VoidofLight It's been proven over and over that Rise actually has a higher roster count than World. World had waaaay to many Rathian/Rathalos palette swaps, the armor styles were kinda bland and the Forest/Guiding Lands map layouts are pure trash. I think it's a neat game, but the era of live service is headed out. Just unlock all the events and let us play. I enjoy Rise, but GU is definitely my favorite on my Switch. It has so much content it makes both World + Rise look lacking.
I had to give my vote to Mitzusune. It's elegant, a well balanced fight, yet completely maddening with those damn soap bubbles. Plus it's cinema in GU is just adorable. ❤️
@geo-shifter Seriously. I played Katamari Damacy and a couple sequels on PS2 and 30 fps is just fine. It's just something for whiny gamers to whine about.
@Andy_Witmyer You like playing rogueLITES. Where there's random generation, permadeath, but also meta progression through skills and such. A traditional rogueLIKE is got all that, but 100% dumping you back at the start with nothing to show for it.
@HeadPirate I see peeps with your mindset a lot these days. You can't 95% copy an existing product and call it your own. Y'all don't seem to understand how copyright laws work. Just because you say that's not how it works, doesn't mean you're right. I know your next point : "BuT fReE uSe LaW sAyS iT's FiNe!" Unlike anyone who shouts that, I actually looked up the Free Use Law. It states : "While the exact amount is to be decided by the original creator, it covers only a MINOR amount of the original work." Which translates to copying over 80% of an original piece doesn't make it your own. No, you can't copyright words, but you damn sure can copyright a game someone plagiarized.
@Scapetti Hardly. Rebirth was good. Afterbirth really enhanced the game. Afterbirth+ was a bad idea. It bloated the item pools, then McMillan kept adding his "personal favorite mods" which most were subpar at best. After everyone begged him to stop adding them, he quit after the third one. Afterbirth+ was released in 2017. It was FIVE years before a complete fan made expansion was "officially" added in. Repentance actually FINALLY fixed the glaring bugs, glitches and broken code that both McMillan AND Nicalis completely ignored for those FIVE years. So, sorry if full price doesn't feel worth it for an expansion that took fans to fix what was it ored by the developer and publishers. Buy, hey! Maybe he'll say he's working on Mewgenics again! 😑
@Purgatorium Considering salt was required to preserve food before refrigeration was a thing, peeps in Rome were paid in salt, hence the phrase : "Not worth their weight in salt". Smuggling an item you would need to preserve food and help with every day life would be a valid premise.
Yes, the story is on the shorter side. Surprised there's no mention of the pile of side stuff to accomplish! If you're going for 100%, there's waaaay more than a 3 hour game here!

@anoyonmus Dude. Whining about 30 fps halfway through 2024? Time for a new thing.

Re: Laika: Aged Through Blood Is A Brutal Blend Of Metroidvania, Mad Max, And Excitebike
Got the demo on Steam and had a blast playing this. I'll more than likely double dip on this game so I can have it to go. ❤️

Re: Looks Like There's Already A Mobile Game Ripping Off Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
@FawfulsFury With a better populated world, bucket loads of quests and combat, not to mention actual dungeons. Not just puzzle mini games. 🤷

Re: Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope Announces Season Pass And Gold Edition
Man. How I miss the days of content not being locked behind a paywall and "season passes" tacked into every single game to generate more money.

Re: Best Space And Sci-Fi Games On The Nintendo Switch
@Silly_G Wait. You refunded a game over a slip of paper?
Re: Best Space And Sci-Fi Games On The Nintendo Switch
@SteamEngenius I have it on my laptop. Other than left and right, there's not really up/down aiming.
Re: Binding Of Isaac Prequel 'The Legend Of Bum-Bo' Launches This Month
@Scapetti He must have magically made the original then, huh?
Re: Binding Of Isaac Prequel 'The Legend Of Bum-Bo' Launches This Month
@Scapetti He's one the head programmer too. Don't be a shill if you don't know all the facts. 🤣

@Scapetti Full price for the new DLC, sure. But everything else that's 4+ years old? It's not that good.
Re: Pokémon And Digimon-Inspired 'Cassette Beasts' Gets A Cosy New Trailer
@RubyCarbuncle Aww man, those cassette tape board games?! I remember those! <3
Re: Nintendo Provides Ten Useful Tips For Triangle Strategy
@invictus4000 So strategy games aren't for everyone. No need to be childish about it.
Re: Potato Flowers In Full Bloom Is A 3D Dungeon Crawler That Sprouts Onto Switch This Month
Looks neat, but I'm on the fence. I'll download the demo. It's free to try out. ❤️
Re: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Twitter Account Teases New Monster Variants
I'm totally down for variants as long as it's not World and 50 shades of Rathian/Rathalos.

@AlphaXXI or the 2D-HD style would be dope too! ❤️
Re: Review: Vagante - A Roguelike Too Empty To Make An Impact
@FantasiaWHT Have you ever tried drawing up full game backgrounds and sprites in pixel art style? Not as easy as it seems.
Re: Zelda-Inspired Adventure 'Airoheart' Could Be A Treat For Fans Of A Link To The Past
@LXP8 Seriously. This is pound for pound a sprite rip with very minimal changes to be "different".

Re: Monster Hunter Rise Adds Mega Man's Rush In New Collab
@Isashihtzu Yeah, because the crazy collabs in Generations/ Generations Ultimate weren't immersion breaking? Or the MegaMan Palico suit in World?
