With those timings surely its more convenient for people in the US than anywhere else.
But either way if it is a live presentation then its more geared to Japanese media and not the average working Joe. Sure its livestreamed so the fans have access to it, but it seems more like the E3 pressers of old, which is rather strange.
For me, VC is a chance to play games that I didn't buy first time round, which are now out-of-print and either hard to find or stupidly expensive second-hand.
So GCN VC is welcome; although I'd prefer if the most popular titles got HD remasters than just VC releases.
However they do need to work on two things: quality of the emulation and pricing. Quality should be the best they can get it without resorting to specialist hardware like the NES Classic Mini, and the pricing of games needs to be better value for money and reflect the overall quality of the game. I'd happily pay £15 for something like Mario Sunshine, but some shovelware rubbish needs to be a few pounds.
@DragonEleven Yeah my local GAME is the same. The PC section has eaten into what little shelf space Nintendo had. No Wii U and 3DS is just download or pre-owned, with a couple of rows of amiibo. Thankfully there's another GAME which treats Nintendo better in the next city over.
Wouldn't have been able to attend a midnight launch anyway due to work, but at least there's one in said other city if people want to go. Having Pokken there is a good move.
Consudering 3DS game cards come in several sizes I wouldn't worry here. I'd expect 16GB & 32GB at least and perhaps even 64GB or 8GB cards for the largest and smallest titles.
Nice to see a programming joke in Pokemon. Loving how they are shaking things up though. The 12 hour thing will be odd at first but sure I'll get used to it. Can't wait to find out what these uber beasts are.
Nothing for me here. MyNintendo is a good idea on paper but it hasn't been used properly yet. It feels like it is still in beta. I want to see more free games and get the merchandise back from Club Nintendo.
I think the consensus was that it wasn't as good as previous years, but for my first time it wasn't too bad. Nintendo really carried it though and I enjoyed the stage coverage.
If you were there shopping you were doing the wrong thing. The panels were interesting and you had live music. To be fair they need a better place for the main stage and better speakers, but Charisma.com were the highlight for me.
Would I go again? Yes. All 3 days? No. You can spread stuff out over 2, but the final day I was wandering around with nothing to do.
Be warned that some GAME stores are now limiting codes to 1 per customer. I had trouble getting multiple Zoroark during that event, so I clarified the situation for the Mew event with my local GAME store, and they confirmed via Twitter it is 1 per customer. I am unsure if all GAME stores are implementing this policy, but it is something to be aware of if you are trying to get codes for all your games or for someone else.

Re: Global Roll-Out of Pokémon GO's Nearby Feature Gets Closer as Niantic Plans a Long Run
Stopped playing after 2 weeks as it personally wasn't a thing I could get into. I'll stick with the main games I think.

Re: Random: Nintendo NX Rumours From French Media and an Analyst Report, While Zelda Williams Fends Off Anxious Fans
Interesting ideas, although the Final Fantasy one is far-fetched.
Re: Gallery: The Pokémon Z-Ring Packaging Shows That It's a Truly Plastic Fantastic Add-On
Eh, it's a toy for kids. As such looks perfectly acceptable. I'm sure a lot of younger Pokémon fans will be all over it.

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Power Bombs in Japan
It's a shame but we all expected it. Hopefully this doesn't put Nintendo off Metroid alltogether. I want to see where they take the Sylux storyline.
Re: Metroid Prime: Blast Ball Gets Surprise Release, for Free, on the 3DS eShop
Wow, this is a surprise! I'll grab this as soon as I can.

Best to wait and see, but to me that looks like a very early prototype.
