@Bizzyb Yep, played them (been gaming since the days you had to load them from cassette tapes). The main problems with MUA 3 in my opinion are:
1. I never feel like you are playing a specific hero. Maybe due to the size of the screen, I feel like I'm just button mashing. To compare with Diablo, each class feels distinct, and even each specialization within a class feels distinct. In MUA3, not only do the characters feel the same, even when you "power them up" it doesn't really seem to make a difference
2. The heroes are vastly underpowered. When you trigger the 4-character synergy, it should clear the screen, not cause a few low-level characters to stumble for a moment. Even pumping ISO8, xp cubes and everything else into characters never seems to move their attacks beyond the "wet noodle" phase.
3. The synergies are astoundingly poorly exposed. Considering how important the synergies are to gameplay, there should be simple, obvious ways to see which ones are on your team, or who to add to get specific ones. A team composition to get a 1% boost? That is plainly and easily available. The most important interaction in the entire game? Nah, you don't need to see that. It seems very clear that (like the difficulty) this is an attempt to obfuscate the game in order to stretch out the very limited gameplay.
4. To continue on with the previous point, there is very little guidance as to what a player is expected to do. To my mind, one of the clearest is the Dormammu "break the seal" fight, where there are a few directions shouted at you in the middle of combat with a dozen creatures. That is ridiculous.
It's like the team that made this game normally makes mobile games, heard someone talking about MUA and said, "Hey! Let's make that game!". The first game had the extra comic missions with backgrounds, the trivia quizzes, extra costumes, collectable hunts, PLUS the core store which was huge. To see the difference between these games, go play the MODOK fight from MUA and compare it to the MODOK fight in MUA3.
All in all, I'd get my money back if I could. One of my biggest switch regrets.
I was super excited about this coming out and had every intention of buying the DLC (Moon Knight! Blade!) but the game just isn't fun. It may be that the game is just aimed at a different kind of gamer than me (none of the "extra modes" look interesting to me in the slightest) but this game was a big disappointment.
I would like to play this, but $40 seems a bit high. I can't imagine there's enough gameplay in this to justify that price. I mean, life as a bee isn't all that complicated.
I'm looking forward to RAD, and kind of interested in Astral Chain, but I'll wait on see on that one due to the cost. Not like I don't have enough to play already.

Re: Nintendo Download: 13th February (North America)
I was interested in Snack World, but $50? Hard pass.
I just finished Glass Masquerade on PC a few days ago, and it was great. Not sure about in on the small screen, though touch controls would be nice.

I'm looking forward to this game quite a lot. I think it looks like fun.

Re: Space RPG The Long Journey Home Launches On Nintendo Switch Today
When this first came out, I was very excited about it. Once I played it...not so much. Watch some LPs before you buy. Maybe it's your cup of tea.

Re: Who Needs Tony Hawk? Skater XL Kickflips To Switch Next Year
I never played the Tony Hawk games, but I loved Skate 2 dearly. I'd love a game like that on my Switch.

Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd July (North America)
I'd love to get Terraria, but $30 is absolutely utter insanity. Even with the Switch tax it shouldn't be more than $15. So nothing for me, I guess

@nocdaes Which, incidentally, starred, Kenny Bania and John Connor's foster dad. (EDIT: oops--not Steve Tyler, just an incredible facsimile)
