If you've been hankering for a bit of Mirror's Edge-style parkour action on the Switch, then Ghostrunner looks like it will be worth keeping your eye on. In this first-person action game from developer One More Level, you'll be wall-running like a boss with your electric knife taking down anyone who stands in your way in a Bladerunner-like cityscape.
More from the press release:
Enter an intense cyberpunk world and experience fierce, dynamic combat! Conquer your enemies in the physical world and in cyberspace. Hunt for answers in humanity’s last remaining shelter.
Ascend humanity’s last remaining shelter, a great tower-city. The tower is torn by violence, poverty, and chaos. Conquer your enemies, discover the secrets of the superstructure and your own origin and obtain the power to challenge The Keymaster.
The game takes place in the future, after a global cataclysm where the remains of humanity live in a tower built by The Architect, who died mysteriously years ago. Everyone knows the truth, no one says it aloud.
The world ruled by The Keymaster is harsh. A person’s worth depends on the category of implants they have, defining their whole lives. The implants—given to them in childhood—determine which social group a person belongs to. If you weren’t lucky enough to get a good life, there is nothing you can do.
It's no surprise that a rebellion starts.
You are a cyber-warrior, the only one capable of fighting both in the physical world and in cyberspace. Lost and hunted, thrown into the middle of the conflict, you must use this bond with technology to ascend the tower.
As you climb higher, secrets are revealed. The clock starts ticking on a race to uncover the mystery behind the structure that houses humanity’s last hope. Solve the riddle or be killed—there is no other option.
Ghostrunner is headed to the Switch next year, check out the trailer above and let us know what you think with a squiggle in the comments.

Where is the Gate Keeper?
Where is Faith Connors?
I find the sword always in the middle of the screen very distracting and annoying, just to remind the player that he's some kind of ninja.
I'm getting some dishonored and mirror's edge vibes here. Which are both good things. Can't wait to see some raw gameplay.
I get the hunch we are going to get inundated with cyberpunk games soon. And I am totally fine with that. RIP Mr Hauer.
I want cyperpunk 2077 to Switch. Since it can handle Witcher 3, it could handle Cyberpunk!
I love cyberpunk themes, but I hate first person. Looks interesting, but not for me.
Since it’s a Mirrors Edge style game, i’ll keep my eye on it.
Oh mama. Gimmegimmegimme
Definitely looks like my kind of jam.
@Regpuppy
I know, right? I'm definitely feeling both and that is most certainly a good thing!
@FiveDigitLP Yeah, the parkour elements of mirror's edge type parkour games, and ehat looks like powers/gadget from Dishonored/Bioshock. That sounds like a pretty cool combo. Especially when wrapped in a cyberpunk theme. Which is one of the few themes that's not grossly oversaturated right now. At least not yet, anyway.
Though, I have a feeling that might change after Cyberpunk 2077. So I'm glad this game will get in before the wave drowns it out. Lol
Throw in Shell Suits and Nirvana and you’ve got a full set!
@Dualmask You must really hate real life then :- (
As a massive fan of Mirror's Edge Catalyst and FPS platformers in general, I can't wait. Wish there were more games in this genre but somehow they're not that popular
Still blows my mind that Mirror's Edge and ME Catalyst sold so poorly. They're both absolutely brilliant fun, with a cool style. Especially Catalyst which is better in literally every way and is endlessly fun to play. the gameplay in both of those games is so damn good, and parkour is fun in general.
Also like Deadcore, which is a cheaper FPS Platformer indy, and can be brutally difficult but it's so fun and so addictive. It's similar to Trials games where it can be very tough, but the many checkpoints available instantly through a simple button press makes it so addictive to keep trying over and over again to get a section right. Love it.
@nkarafo Not really. Cyberpunk is on a newer engine which is more advanced, and more demanding. They're BARELY getting TW3 to work on Switch, there's no guarantee Cyberpunk will.
