Re: Talking Point: A Big Year for Nintendo

Nin-freak

I think the sales numbers reflect the gaming industry as a whole. People have much more things to buy these days with their money. Their starting to choose what they want the most and their going without the things they want that they don't like quite as much. Nintendo just needs to keep the price down to around $300, maybe $329, and make the console as powerful as they can at that price without making a loss. That's all they need to do, and I think they will come out on top when it's all over. They always do anyway, they did it with Wii and their doing it with the 3DS. The market is changing, but Nintendo is far enough behind that they can go with the tide. Sony and M$ are too far into it now, they can't go cheap nor can they change their audience of consumers. Their the companies that need to start worrying.

Re: Nintendo Reveals New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS

Nin-freak

Wow this has got to be a record number of comments

I'm not disappointed in the slightest. We all know there's a 2-D mario game for 3DS and Wii U coming soon. Now we know what the 3DS one is, so why the sudden negativity? This is what we expected!!! I can't wait to see 2-D mario in 3D (Pun not intended). But I do understand how some people want mario to be harder. I'm the same way. I think Nintendo needs to set up a system where the game gets harder if you play good, and gets easier if your not that good. Can we do that Nintendo? It's easy and it would really help!

Re: We'll Finally See Pikmin 3 at This Year's E3

Nin-freak

Pikmin is one of those games that's hard to keep the story interesting, and not repetitive like Mario. It demands something more than just crashing on the Pikmin planet in every game I can't wait to see what story they came up with. I'm hoping for online battles or co-op online challenge mode!

Re: First Impressions: Mario Tennis Open

Nin-freak

@NintyFan I was hoping for improved Power Shots(As I said). If all they did was make your Power Bar charge at half the speed it would be perfect. I don't like how they just took it out. And it wasn't like you HAD to use the Power Shots on Power Tennis. You could turn them off. And I'm sure they could make an online mode with and without Power Shots. Come on Camelot!

Re: First Impressions: Mario Tennis Open

Nin-freak

No Power Shots? Not worth $40. I'm gonna wait. Sorry Nintendo, you can't take things out and expect people to like it. You IMPROVE it! You don't take it out. That's just lazy on the developers part.

Re: New Fire Emblem Trailer Raises the Temperature

Nin-freak

Looks good, but the two player battles look a little too easy to win at. Hopefully that's just the easier levels their showing.

I'd also love to see some online battles too, but that is far from what I'm seeing and I doubt Nintendo will do it.

Re: 3DS Notches Up 4.5 Million U.S. Sales So Far

Nin-freak

As I expected. People are getting used to an "updated version" of a portable device because of companies like Apple and their Iproducts. Calling it 3DS only made people want it more, since they think to be cool they have to have the "latest and best" model. So even if it is an amazing new system, this tactic may prove better.

Re: Mario & Sonic London Olympics Sprints to 2m Sales

Nin-freak

It's a great game, it's just underappreciated because of people acting like all the sports should be as complete as a whole game. Don't be so spoiled! You should expect 31 mini-games when you buy it And the London party is a pretty fun addition, even if it's not as good as Mario Party. The only thing the game needs is a tournament mode and new controls designed by Nintendo. Sega simply doesn't know how to do controls, the characters all move really stiff.

Re: Review: 3DS Circle Pad Pro

Nin-freak

I love this thing. It looks to make the console so much easier to hold while still letting you take it off for portability. Thanks Nintendo for not making the 3DS this bulky to begin with like the VITA!

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Plans to Fight Back

Nin-freak

The 3DS has sold faster than the original DS in the same amount of time after launch. So why are people saying Nintendo is failing?
Jealousy, ignorance, fanboyism? Nope, Nintendo just released the 3DS early so they could focus on the Wii U(Confirmed by Nintendo)which caused the 3DS to lack all the features they wanted to put on it. But I will say this, better late than never!

Re: Iwata Unsure if Nintendo Will Sell Wii U At a Loss

Nin-freak

Get a good online structure.

If their's one thing hardcore and casual gamers have in common, it's they like online gaming/socializing.

How bout making an online community like Raptr for finding friends? All your stats can be shown to the world, and no more friend codes.

Re: Feature: What About Pikmin 3?

Nin-freak

I expect it to be a launch title, considering how long it's been in production.
I think the controller could be used by itself nicely to control the Pikmin, but using the TV at the same time demands other controls. If you had to look at the screen each time you threw a Pikmin, you might as well get rid of the TV! I think the Wii remote and nunchuck would be a lot better than the Wii U controller. Nothing can beat the pointer for the best controls.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's 3DS Press Conference

Nin-freak

I have a feeling the 3DS will be a HUGE hit this holiday season. Imagine all those kids who have been going to Wal-mart and playing those 3DS demo's pods for as long as there parents let them:P When Christmas comes, what do you think they'll want? And when the parents see that price that's the same as the DSi XL, they will buy it for them right away. And all the great titles coming out before then will sure to boost sales as well. And once the 3DS sells a lot, more games will be made. So if it's a success this December, it will succeed as a gaming console.
