Re: Yusuke Hashimoto Talks Star Fox Zero and Collaborating with Nintendo

@Captain_Toad "If you have a problem with the website, you can always use contact the website button."
A site that caters to children isn't going to change that because someone contacted the staff. I'll go ahead and deal with the rule.

"Oh and Just because someone has an opinion that doesn't match yours doesn't mean ya have ta insult them."
I have never in my life insulted someone because their opinion didn't match mine. You must not understand what an opinion is.

Re: Yusuke Hashimoto Talks Star Fox Zero and Collaborating with Nintendo

While I'm at it, how about more fun deleted nonsense?
"You're d*** right it is. I own every platform, because I also have discretionary income up the yin yang "lad". So no, it has nothing to do with Wii U. Bayonetta was the peak of P* long before the Wii U ever existed. And Bayonetta 2 is no exception."
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, you are beyond delusional.

"You can argue with me on this all you want, but you can't argue with the fact it's the highest rated game this generation."
Good god you use ratings in your arguments, too? You must spend a good portion of each year eating up fecal nonsense like Call of Duty, then, because it consistently gets "high ratings".

"Since when are exclusives the only games worth playing on a console?"
They're not, but when the console is made poorly, has a terrible UI, a terrible controler, a terrible userbase, etc. etc. exclusives become the only thing it's good for. However at a certain point the high cost and low quality of the console outweigh the quality and quantity of it's exclusives.

"But you can't see that. I know your type- you're the type of "gamer" that hates playing video games. You just like to be acknowledged as a gamer. But you have no interest in actually seeking out great games. If you did you wouldn't nonchalantly write off entire platforms"
Ahahahahahahahahaha, listen to yourself. You're trying sooooo hard. I'm glad this site couldn't keep me from seeing your desperate, angry little posts. This is the funniest trash I've read in weeks.

Re: Yusuke Hashimoto Talks Star Fox Zero and Collaborating with Nintendo

MrRight

How cute. Deleted posts. Way to run your site like 14 year olds, Nintendo Life. Good thing you can't hide this stuff from me in my email notifications:

@JaxonH
"Dude isn't lying. Swearing WILL get you banned from this site. The only reason I can think you haven't been warned is because of the holidays and they're light on staff and haven't seen the posts yet."

I assure you, they WILL say something when they read any profanity whatsoever. I've been a member here for years, trust me I know."
I guess I overestimated this site. What a joke.

""only other game he's directed is Mario Tennis Ultra Smash."

^^^ This slipped by me. What the heck are you smoking? This guy didn't direct Mario Tennis Ultra Smash- he's a lead director at Platinum! Ultra Smash is a first party title- has nothing to do with P* Games."
I'm aware of this, lad, but there is conflicting information out there, as IMDB lists him as Ultra Smash's Director while Wikipedia does not, so evidently someone made a mistake editing IMDB, but regardless of that fact he's still a nobody. He had no hand in any of PG's best games.
Bayonetta, Vanquish, Anarchy Reigns, Metal Gear Rising, Hashimoto had nothing to do with any of them, and THAT is not conflicting information, it's solid everywhere.
I know you, as a Nintendo fanboy, want to believe that Bayonetta 2 is the pinnacle of Platinum Games, the sad truth is that it is not. Hashimoto is a nobody, and evidently the only noteworthy game he's involved with is a sequel to Kamiya's work.

Feel free to spin that however you like, but the facts are all there. He's proven nothing, even if he didn't have any hand in Ultra Smash.

Re: Feature: The Poor Career Choice of Super Smash Bros. Professionals

MrRight

Seeing a stadium full of people watching a RTS/MOBA tournament might be one of the saddest sites I have ever laid eyes on.

Though the Smash scene is equally sad. It probably has the potential to be huge, but Smash fans are cancerous little shits that can't move on from a decade old obsolete game on the Gamecube.

Re: Final Fantasy VI Advance Arrives on the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan

MrRight

@felix330 Now you're grasping at straws. If I had said "western" site, you'd have absolutely no argument to respond with. Okay, fine, you're right about SOMETHING and it's that I was wrong for off-handedly claiming this site is American.
I'm hardly ignorant, you're just cherry-picking a small paragraph of a much longer comment. You're still far more ignorant when it comes to the discussion at hand. Now go waste someone else's time.

Re: Final Fantasy VI Advance Arrives on the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan

MrRight

@felix330 And this is an American site. The only purpose this serves is for people to hope that the same title gets released in the US, so I'm discussing the US versions of the games.

"Sound was a lot worse and the GBA has a lower screen resolution."
Ahahaha, it was not a "lot" worse, and 256 x 224 -> 240 x 160 is not a very big drop at all. Unless you're using the wrong word and are talking about screen SIZE, which is irrelevant because these are Wii U GBA games that can be played on a TV.

The technical downgrades pale in comparison to the improved translation, and if you're for any reason whatsoever talking about the Japanese version instead, your point is still moot since the SNES version is already available on Japan's VC. They're simply adding this version because it includes additional content and bug fixes.

Re: Final Fantasy VI Advance Arrives on the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan

MrRight

@felix330 BAAHAHAHAHAHAHA, don't talk about things you don't understand. There were SLIGHT downgrades to sound and graphics, but other than that the GBA versions were VASTLY superior. The translation was much better than the original, and the added content was great.

The best way to play the SNES FF games is to play their GBA roms with patches to fix their graphics and sound, but if you have to choose between the raw SNES version and raw GBA version, the GBA version wins by a landslide.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Creator Tetsuya Takahashi Prefers Western Games To Japanese Ones

MrRight

@JaxonH "It takes what I love about JRPG's, gets rid of all the garbage and infuses it with many modern western elements."
Except Xenoblade's Combat system pales in comparison to a LOT of JRPGs out there, as do the characters.

Xenoblade and XCX are amazing games, but you're delusional if you think they're the pinnacle of JRPGs. You're also delusional if you think WRPGs do more than just a small handful of things better than JRPGs in general.

Re: Video: Check Out This Footage of Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories

MrRight

"it is still a console based Harvest Moon."
No, it's not. This literally is NOT Harvest Moon. Harvest Moon is actually Story of Seasons, but Natsume owns the rights to the NAME Harvest Moon and has been using it to sell these garbage games that have no involvement from the original creator.
http://harvestmoon.wikia.com/wiki/Yasuhiro_Wada
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Story_of_Seasons_(series)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvest_Moon_(Natsume_series)
Do some research and don't give Natsume any of your money. The real Harvest Moon is now Story of Seasons.

Re: Review: Animal Crossing: Wild World (Wii U eShop / DS)

MrRight

The VC is the one thing Nintendo can't help but screw up.
First we get the terrible SNES versions of FF games instead of their superior Advance remakes, then we get the terrible GBA remake of Yoshi's Island instead of the superior original, and now we're getting one of the weakest AC games instead of City Folk, which is still the best entry, period.

It's like Nintendo does amazing things with the brunt of their console, then turns around and goes out of their way to make bad decisions on the VC.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Creator Tetsuya Takahashi Prefers Western Games To Japanese Ones

MrRight

@Bobbery A: Calling a person angry doesn't mean they are, nor does it discredit their argument. Grow up.

B: You didn't state an opinion, you stated a juvenile opinion followed by a nonsensical statement. Saying "Japanese devs need to get with the times." is moronic and doesn't really MEAN anything, though the IMPLICATION behind it is obvious and false. The best games are still Japanese, just as they've always been. You just don't have a true appreciation for good games, you have an appreciation only for nostalgia.

C: "Get over it and move on with your lives."
You're one to talk.

D: "I'm not the one hurling insults at posters I disagree with."
Neither am I.

Re: Art: Here's Another Western Take On The Legend Of Zelda's Link

MrRight

@LUIGITORNADO Yes, you were called a moron on the internet, and that's because you are legitimately a moron. The location of which you are called one is irrelevant. I call it like I see it.

"Baaaah along little sheep."
Ahahahahaha, sheep? You're that desperate? Why not go full-fedora and call me "sheeple"? Ahahahaha, wow. There's no way you're above the age of 14.

Re: Art: Here's Another Western Take On The Legend Of Zelda's Link

MrRight

@LUIGITORNADO You're a moron. Like, a huge moron.
Comparing this to Toon Link is pathetic, because it makes the assumption that the two are equal.

People cried about Toon Link because it was different and they didn't want change.
This isn't bad because it's different, this is bad because it's bad. Try getting better taste in art, son.

Re: Art: Here's Another Western Take On The Legend Of Zelda's Link

MrRight

@EverythingAmiibo "(I reckon it can mainly be traced back to WoW)"
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Blizzard are one of the few western companies that use fantastic, imaginative artstyles in their games.

This generic mess is far closer to old D&D-style artwork, or TES , but at least TES has interesting races like Argonians and Khajit.

Re: Minecraft Finally Digs Its Way Onto the Wii U eShop on 17th December

MrRight

@rjejr This is not "big". Minecraft might be "big" with tweenagers, but this news is not big. In fact I'd be surprised if most older gamers' reactions weren't "wait it wasn't already on there?"

COD is popular with kids and chimpanzees, too, but adding it to yet another gaming system after it's spread itself across the entire industry wouldn't be "big news" either.

When one of the most overrated, best-selling games ever released adds one console to it's massive list of systems, it's expected. Not big.

Re: Minecraft Finally Digs Its Way Onto the Wii U eShop on 17th December

MrRight

This is the big news? This garbage bandwagon game that nobody above the age of 12 asked for is coming to Wii U? A game that's already on almost every system anyway? That's the big news?

@WiltonRoots You've got something brown on your nose. You might want to wipe it off before coming in here and making everyone smell it.
