@SquareOneMJ My 8 year old son loves it! He has missed just one day since the game came out. The difficulty level is easy to set so that it’s a challenge for him but not so hard that he’s sore the next day. The story is entertaining, the characters and monsters are colourful and there are enough routines and different side quests to keep it fresh and fun.
I’m doing it too (haven’t missed a day since release!) despite being averse to exercise. We can compete against each other while having two vastly different difficulty levels. And after 47 days, I see the results in both of us.
@Realnoize "If they want to sell at a loss, it's their decision."
No, it's not. In France it's illegal for a reseller to sell at a loss. Maybe Amazon are close to it, but they can't sell at a price inferior to the trade price for the console (although I've no idea how much that is in this case...)
I just picked up Link Archer, Link Rider AND a Bokoblin in my local supermarket over in France. There's hope for Europe! Still regret not getting the Guardian when it first came out. Hopefully it's getting another run too....
@Baum897 You youngster! I'm 44 on Friday and I hope I've dropped enough hints to my family that this is the only thing I want for my birthday! You never grow out of Nintendo!!
Pikmin 3 will have very little effect on sales of the WiiU console. People who already have the console will be happy to have a new Nintendo game to play, but I'm not sure that on its own it'll entice many people to fork out €350. Add the price of the game (RRP €49.99 in France) and you're at €400. And it's the summer holidays which is not a great time to release big games titles.
I love my WiiU, but it does have the stench of Gamecube starting to seep from its perfectly formed vents.
@Tmdean You are correct, it is inflated. 3.5 billion is what ITV say on their site. Actual worldwide viewing figures are near 1 billion (still impressive!). More impressive, it is estimated that 15 million people turn out to line the roads of France to watch this dope-fuelled 'event'. 14.9 million are p*ssed on red wine and end up not seeing a thing...
...but he does imply that it will release later and at a higher price than the digital version so this will be a download for me! I don't want to wait any longer for new Phoenix Wright!!
No, no and no again! Part of the charm and originality of Miiverse is the LACK of photos everywhere. I love the fact that everything is in black and white. I don't want to see what people are eating and cats (unless they are eating a cat - that I would enjoy!).
@Hyperstar96 I didn't say that. All I said was that we already knew the Wii U controller firmware was upgradable before this 'news'. No idea how you took that to mean that I don't want to enjoy more first party titles! Like the rest of us, I'd love more first party stuff.
Anyone who has done the recent system update will know that the game pad firmware is upgradable - a message saying that the gamepad firmware is being updated shows during the update process...
If you think payment or other perks between Nintendo and The Sun weren't involved here, you are deluded! There's no way this article would happen without a rather nice back-hander for the Sun's game "journalist"...
@antonvaltaz - Agreed! Stop "thinking about how we can move the franchise forward" and start working on how to move Lostwinds from Wii to Wii U!! Enjoyed both games so much and would love more...
Loving Luigi's Mansion, and perhaps a couple of years back would have gone for something like Lego City, but time's short, the weather's picking up and I can't see myself spending 40+ hours on another 'open world' game in the coming months...
Phil Fish seems like video gaming's own Scrooge. It's not the first time he's refused to pay for something - a patch for Fez on the 360 corrupted file saves and he refused to sort it out because it would have cost him too much.

Got this novel platformer on the PS Vita. It's a lot of fun! Good to see the Wii U getting it
Re: Cancelled Wii Adventure Zblu Cops Is Unearthed, Looks Amazing
@TheRealThanos That wasn't my point. The writer uses language that incorrectly implies that France is not "in the west". And Titeuf sucks.
Re: Cancelled Wii Adventure Zblu Cops Is Unearthed, Looks Amazing
"all but unknown in the west"
Um, France is definitely "in the west"....

Re: Review: Pinball: Revenge of the 'Gator (3DS eShop / Game Boy)
Still have my boxed copy of this! Spent ages on it back in the day - so please take my €2.99!
@Damo - weren't the tables linked vertically rather than horizontally? Or maybe my old head is remembering wrong....?!

Re: Nintendo Download: 20th June (Europe)
What is going on with the £/€ conversions? It's bonkers!
€4.99 = £4.49 is fine but how can €4.99 also be £3.49?
Looks like us € people are getting a poor deal! But even worse...
€19.99 = £17.99 (fine) but then €24.99 = £11.99 which is taking the p1ss.
