I have really been enjoying Mario Kart World so far! It is definitely a new take on this series, but it still builds off of some of the best parts of the original games. The Grand Prix mode is very fun (like usual), and I also love that they brought back unlocking new characters/costumes. However, I think that the new Knockout Tour mode is without a doubt the best part about this game. It feels a lot quicker than a grand prix but is still very competitive and fun! With all of these features, I would say that this is definitely one of the best multiplayer games across Switch and Switch 2. I have yet to play the singleplayer Free Roam mode, but it looks pretty impressive from what I've seen. However, the main improvement I would like to see with this game is more battle modes. They only have balloon battle and coin runners, which are probably the two weakest battle modes in the franchise. I really hope they bring back Shine Thief and Renegade Roundup, which are a lot more unique and engaging. Additionally, some of the character redesigns (I'm looking at you Donkey Kong) were poorly done and unnecessary. Minor changes are fine, but many of them don't even feel like the same character anymore (most notably DK and Lakitu), which is very disappointing.
Also, this may seem like a minor complaint, but I really think Luigi needs his own map. There hasn't been a map dedicated to him since Mario Kart 7, despite the fact that he is easily one of the four most main characters in the Mario universe. It was especially ridiculous in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe where there were 96 courses (Wario had 3 and Waluigi had 2...a slap in the face to Luigi). Please give Luigi the respect he deserves.

@Anachronism Completely unrelated but I love your icon! Skyward Sword is the best!
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Mario Kart World
@Ogbert I completely agree with you that the characters need to be more organized, the Character Select is kind of a mess.
