Destructure: Among Debris, which I believe is a console exclusive.
It’s like Arkanoid but with slingshot mechanics, and a hint of a bullethell shooter. Very unique!
I gotta be honest, I’m such a huge Mario fan, that any time a new game release, I just get it day one. No questions asked, I just want them to keeping making Mario.
It’s a masterpiece in almost every aspect, yes, but it’s also what is wrong with AAA games today in my opinion; it’s like having an extra job. The amount of hours a single game can take, has become ridiculous. How the hell is somebody supposed to get the full experience, if they have a life outside of the game?
That being said, I recently beat it after dedicating an hour or two each day since release, playing nothing else. Honestly, wasn’t that fun because by the end of it, I was just really, really craving for it to be over with. It was just so ***** long.
Going from this into Pikmin however, it made me appreciate that even more. Like, Pikmin 4 is insanely good, and from a flow perspective, it’s MILES ahead of TOTK.
A 10. It’s just that good. This is what a game should be: fun, not so long you have to aside months of your life for it, and just filled to the brim with love in every aspect of its design. Even better than TOTK tbh.
I know some people who’ve been struggling making an upcoming AAA game run on switch, and eventually they reached out to Nintendo, and got the response to hold off with the port, as there’s a new system coming next year, with a completely different OS than switch… Which could suggest, they’re not coming out with a new Switch, but maybe something else entirely?
I was so, SO hyped about this game when it released on Game Pass last year, but it was close to unplayable due to bugs, controls and some motion sickness inducing camera movement. Haven’t tried it since, but can’t imagine it’ll be a pleasant experience on Switch.
@fenlix but he is not scoring. He’s assisting, which means he won’t have a final say in any of it, and non of his music will be featured, probably besides Easter eggs and the generic orchestral version of the main themes.
I would’ve just loved to see a whole movie with the unique, jazzy vibe they’ve evolved over the past many years, combined with his amazing orchestration from Galaxy. It could’ve been great, but some executive probably said no.
Looks very promising, but the music sucks. Maybe they’re just doing the typical Hollywood trailer thing, but if the movie is anything like this, it’s gonna take away a lot of my enjoyment. They should’ve just let Koji Kondo score it.
I doubt Nintendo is gonna do a showcase, maybe in a week or two.
If they do, my one and single hope is a new Switch. I love my OLED model, but man, the hardware limitations are starting to have too much of an impact. It’s like anything that’s not 2D just runs so poorly on the system, that I can play it better on my phone. It sucks! Gives us a new version already.
I’m doing the exact thing, in the exact same structure, in the exact same middleware for a different game 😎
We’re also using surface switches for every object, footsteps etc.
And this one is 3D and physics based… so add about 20000 sounds on top of that.
It’s crazy complicated work, but ending up with this many sound files is actually not that uncommon.
Still, it takes a lot of dedication and the result in Unpacking is amazing!

I work with games.

Looks like they also removed some countries from the physical rewards with this update, like Denmark

Re: Check Out This Forgotten Donkey Kong Country Comic From The UK
Huh. I had no idea Judge Dredd was a part of the Kong family.
