10-12 M consoles by march 2018 ! For the holidays, a good bundle and Mario Odyssey will help the switch to sell like hotcakes.

By the end of the year the lineup will have Zelda, Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8D, Arms, Mario Odyssey and more surprises revealed for E3 I guess (Smash port, pokemon stars, retro's game ?), it's HUGE for a first year imo.

Super Smash Bros 5 not gonna happen since the development of those game take a huge time : at best we are going to have SSB4 deluxe
New F-zero I don't buy it since there is 2 games ala F-zero on the platform
A new Donkey Kong Country maybe but I do hope Retro is working on something else
Don't see Advance/Battalion wars happening, don't know if Nintendo care that much for those license, they prefer Fire Emblem
Arms should be released already by E3 so maybe information about its future but I hope they will focus more on new announcements.

But yeah if we all see all those titles in the next five E3, it could be great.

@Mogster While I agree it is maybe just PR talks, with this and tidbits of rumor about Metroid and Mother 3, I'm still pretty sure we will see those.

Yes but you can't compare a rushed Mario Tennis for example just to have a holiday title for the dying wii U with a new game for a new console, the context is really not the same. As for Paper Mario for exemple, it is a fine title for what it is (and I would kill for a proper TTYD title...). Nintendo love to experiment, it can be great as Mario Maker or bad as AC festival amibo game, but I guess the budget is not on the same level. But that don't mean they can't do great games.

Now the problem of a Metroid needing to surpass Metroid Prime trilogy is a whole different debate. But with Botw and the premise of Mario Odyssey we can have hope about the same treatment for Metroid in the future. And also it doesn't have to be Nintendo doing it.

For anyone saying Reggie is a liar because he said this (or every) E3 will be big : What did you expect, seriously ? Do you think he will say : "Nah this E3 we are not going to announce anything, you still can play Zelda botw"
Off course he will say no matter what E3 will be big ! The only difference is the context, they released a new console and obviously tried to plan well their software schedule. With that in mind I think their E3 will be pretty neat.

@Mogster lol if I listen to you Nintendo didn't do any good games the last few years. Yeah they did some (bad) experimentation and rushed games because the Wii U was dying but the Wii U still has a great library of games : Splatoon, Mario Maker, Xenoblade, Yoshi Wooly World, DKCTF, MK8, SSB4 etc. But anyway that's not the point.

I'm feeling it because of Reggie statement about Metroid and Mother 3, he said : "we will talk about it in a year and see what happened" he is overly confident and I don't see him saying that just to be strike later by his statement.

@Mogster Metroid 2018 will be the big surprise as well as the new Retro's game. I feel it, I would bet on it.

@Manjushri Newsflash the "port of a wii u game" is not so much for the 13M owners of Wii U but for all the others that didn't bought the platform, the game is already huge. And if Nintendo makes MK8deluxe a service with DLC down the road that's even better because they can work (/have worked) on other game as well and not just MK license.

For the subject of the article, didn't know about this title and yeah maybe btw 10 and 20€ why not ! But there are already too much titles i'm interested in : Gonner, Overcooked (damn that seems so fun for multiplayers), Tumbleseed, Hollow knight, Mr Shifty, Enter the gungeon, Snake pass, Yooka Laylee, Stardew Valley...

You didn't understand, after all this time, that the strategy off Nintendo is to release titles throughout the year ?! They didn't said it enough ? They don't want droughts so they don't release all the games at once.
Zelda is a HUGE title that will have a very strong attach rate, why release their next title at the same time for it to just be overshadowed by it ? Why release lots of title at the same time to overshadowed the few 3rd party support they have ?
It's not because you don't like it that it's shot, and there are a lot of great indies coming that a lot of people are excited about, it's not just about you.

But for 2) Polygon tried but while shieldsurfing you can't detonate.
So maybe try to shieldsurf when the bomb will detonate (if there is any time limit on the detonation) or pretty hard to do shield jump over the bomb and shoot an arrow on it to detonate.

But the flying with the stasis boulder is the ONE thing to do !

The fact they acknowledged in an interview that Mario & Luigi is their RPG serie and not Paper Mario says it all...

@HSuzumiyaVI I really don't see your point... I agree with you on the "We know nothing about NX" but I didn't spoke about rumors at all. I just enunciated facts and just facts :
1°) Only one Wii U games announced after june for 2016 : Paper Mario
2°) Really low Wii U sales prevision for this fiscal year

So the conclusion I made from those facts is a handheld released in march and not a home console is nonsense for me. Unless they are launching a home console alongside an handheld only few months apart.

And for the MH codename, Nintendo didn't announce it and that was just an interpretation of a journal. There is no codename MH. (The MH name was used in a report by the Morgan Stanley analyst as shorthand for a potential 3DS successor, but is not an actual codename.)

@HSuzumiyaVI Hmm I'm not so sure... They want us to keep buying Wii U, that's okay.But I don't know why on the last direct and on the financial report for the shareholders they would keep some Wii U games secret... Maybe one surprise or two but that's it, no system seller.
Don't forget the Wii U sales prevision for that fiscal year (800 000 unit for that year...), I think that's says it all : Wii U is dead and buried.

@goonow as a hybrid or just handheld ?
I really don't see how they could release a handheld in march 2017 without a home console... They clearly declared the death of the Wii U when announcing the 2016 planning for Wii U : practically nothing.
On the other hand the 3DS has quite a few titles over the rest of the year... So it doesn't make any sense to me for the NX to be an handheld. An hybrid or a home console ok.

@troj27 NX could be a home console with a handheld component but there is no way it will be only an handheld. They are trying to boost the 3DS with games and leaving the Wii U for dead without games.

So they have to launch the next home console generation, no doubt about that.

ps : I would like a cartridge base NX if the capacity is sufficient and not too expensive. A smaller, quieter console with faster loading times is always good.

Yes my mother love video games, she "bought me" a megadrive when I was 3... She is a big Zelda fan, and AC fan. She curse me cause she can't sleep much because I bought her Ocarina of time on 3ds !

I remember I saw a marketing add for AC on GC, I was amazed by the concept. I played it a while, then Wild World which one I (and my mother too) played so much. And the last one on 3ds, I play it once and a while but not much.
I found that the game didn't evolve enough, for me there is a LOT of potential but unexploited. The part I would love to see improvements are the relationship with the villagers. You talk to them for the 2nd time and after a year : the relationship is about the same... I would love a sort of "scale" of friendship for each animal (one we can't see) to evolve the relationship from neutral to best friend or at contrario to enemy.
I wish we could do more things with them, give them gifts in person (we have that wrapping paper!!), or have other activities with buildings in the village : football field, or snowball battles...
I wish they could bring AC a step further

Edit : damnit, now I have to turn on my 3DS and clean all those weeds...

@Arngrim Yes it's maybe better in the US. But on amazon the deals are also better than the eshop. Yoshi wooly world is at 35€ in amazon vs 49,99€ on the eshop.

The game looks gorgeous ! But for the gameplay... we'll see. I want so much (like almost everyone) TTYD 2. We don't have any info so I'll wait to have more news about the combat system, the story, partners etc.

• Pikmin 4 because Miyamoto said the game was almost ready, so maybe NX
  And of course a port for the new Zelda

Fiou I thought I needed glasses... I play on a small television (maybe 24") I had to bring it closer when playing xenoblade because I couldn't really read the quests...

@Alessandro_P Yes that's sure. The 100 mario is here to give an objective to the game I think but with the versatility of levels, I don't want to spend too much time on this...
The world record is a good start (we need highscore now) to give some substance to the game but I think we really need the special coins or a system like this.

Now with the update and the bookmarks, I feel like searching a level in a community will be almost part of the game. You can search levels in a community or not and have easily a huge playlist of levels to play. I guess it is a good start but I agree with you the search system and the ranking system in the game is not very good.

You're right on the 10 level limit, that's a shame. I'm still behind that limit and I don't even know how many stars you need to reach the second "level"...

@Alessandro_P I understand what you feel, after a while I was feeling pretty much the same. But then I joined a community around Mario Maker (reddit r/mariomaker) and this is so much fun. There is contest every week around a theme, you can share daily your levels or play others, players made entire game with worlds and so on.
You can set multiple objectives with those communities, off course there is a lot of different communities as well on youtube.

Really hyped by this update, wasn't expecting it ! I have a question about the P-Doors, does someone know if you have a limit to use the doors like the traditional P-switch ? Or you just find the switch and the doors will always be there afterward ?

The website is for me the big deal because now on reddit r/mariomaker this will be so easier to play a lot of courses !
