@SBandy1 I had to look up the term W.U.M. It applies to a few people who post here regularly. I made an account after several years of lurking in part so I could make use of the ignore feature for the worst offenders. I genuinely don't understand why anyone would spend time on a forum for a product or company they don't like, let alone do so for hours every single day.
Anyway, back on topic, Capcom has done some seriously impressive work with this port. Kudos! The game looks great and I loved the original Resident Evil and Code: Veronica, but I'm a huge chicken and probably won't be playing this anytime soon.
The many glowing previews and watching more game footage has turned Pokopia into one of my most anticipated releases of the year. I can't wait to play it! This is the kind of game that will easily give me 100+ hours of enjoyment.
I'm picking up LeafGreen and my spouse is picking up FireRed. We're excited to play through these and trade together as we have with other Pokemon releases.
As for the price, we had lunch yesterday at a fast-casual place and the bill was over $40. Paying $20 each for two games that we will enjoy for dozens of hours is just not a big deal.
These sales charts would be a lot more interesting and look very different if Steam sales data was included.
For example, Mewgenics is currently the #3 seller on Steam behind Counter Strike 2 (which is free to play) and Resident Evil Requiem, but Mewgenics will not appear in the February "U.S. Sales Charts" despite selling well over a million copies, because Steam sales aren't included. Claiming to include PC sales data while ignoring the biggest sales platform on PC is kind of strange, so I take these charts with a truckload of salt. They're still interesting to look at, but not really indicative of the wider gaming market.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Places Second In January 2026 Nintendo Charts (US)
@Tyranexx
Agreed! Adding eShop and Steam data would make for a very different chart.
