Re: 3DS Ambassador Game Boy Advance Games Revealed

LordTendoboy

So Nintendo is just releasing these games for free to the Ambassadors, and then they're done with them? What a waste of coding and emulation. If Nintendo were smart, they'd put these games on the eShop next year so they can make some money back.

Re: Miyamoto Stepping Down Into Smaller Role

@shingi_70

He isn't leaving Nintendo. He's just stepping down from his "General Producer" of all the big Nintendo games to focus on smaller projects. He will still be at Nintendo, he's just going back to actual game development.

Re: Nintendo Download: 1st December 2011 (North America)

LordTendoboy

@Stimpy

Love your avatar, but I didn't know Ren and Stimpy was popular in Japan.

Another terrible week for Nintendo downloads. I bet we'll get Mega Man X2 the week before Christmas, then Street Fighter 2 (online?) the week after Christmas.

@SteveW

RetroCityRampage might not even come out on WiiWare. It's been advertised for Xbox Live Arcade though, so it might just stay exclusive for that.

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS Launch Trailer Gathers Speed

LordTendoboy

@Yogsoggoth (7)

How did you get the game? Are you a reviewer for some big-name website?

14 levels isn't bad at all. It's more than the console version (which was way too short, IMO). There wasn't enough level variety (no ice stages, and the only lava stage was the horrible Crisis City). The best levels in the console version are Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Speed Highway, Seaside Hill, and that's it.

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS Launch Trailer Gathers Speed

LordTendoboy

I was slightly disappointed by the lack of variety in stages in the console versions of Generations, so hopefully the 3DS version doesn't let me down.

I love how they kept the Sonic Rush-style gameplay for Modern Sonic (in both 3DS and console versions). I absolutely love the speed boosting through enemies, going as fast as you can.

Agreed about the save points thing. Ocarina of Time allowed you to save wherever and whenever you wanted, but then Majora's Mask limited it to only save points or by playing the Song of Time backwards (which reset your progress and item collection).

The fact that Skyward Sword brings back this feature from Majora's Mask is only a minor inconvenience.

If you think save points are archaic, then you'll hate the Metroid series.

Re: Review: Shinobi (3DS)

LordTendoboy

Sega couldn't develop this themselves? They had to outsource it to some obscure 3rd-party developer?

Good thing most Sonic games are still developed in-house. Most of the ones made by Dimps have been mediocre. Though if it wasn't for the influence of Sonic Rush, the 3D Sonic games would be nowhere near as fun.

And those graphics are terrible. They look like cardboard cut-outs laid on top of bland, textureless backgrounds.

Re: Next Zelda on 3DS a "Continuation of Past Efforts" says Aonuma

LordTendoboy

IT'S NOT A REMAKE! Learn to read people!

He said the next game will not be a remake, it will be an original Zelda built from the ground up. I don't want a Majora's Mask remake, or any remakes for that matter. New, original content is what the 3DS needs.

We already got remakes of Street Fighter 4, Ocarina of Time, StarFox 64, Rayman, Splinter Cell, etc. Need more original content please!

You only play Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii? You're missing out on a ton of good games.

  • Donkey Kong Country Returns
  • Kirby's Epic Yarn
  • New Super Mario Bros. Wii
  • Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
  • Mega Man 9 and 10
  • All those Virtual Console games
  • GoldenEye 007
  • Kirby's Return to Dreamland
  • Wii Sports Resort

Re: Rumour: 3DS Expansion to Be Called 'Circle Pad Pro'

LordTendoboy

@Jonisme

The Vita has a touchscreen, rear touchpad, and 2 analog sticks. Sony has all their bases covered, Nintendo should too. The more control options, the better.

Just look at the Wii U controller, that thing has everything. Good thing Nintendo planned ahead with the Wii U controller.

Re: Europe Feels the Chill of Ice White 3DS in December

LordTendoboy

Aww what?! A Mario bundle would be a perfect way to boost sales in North America.

NoA sure knows how to displease us.

@SKTTR

You really think Nintendo would release a redesigned system this early? That would make the early buyers even more angry.

The second slide pad is an OPTIONAL accessory. It's not required at all. There is no guarantee the 3DS will be redesigned. Nintendo might think it's not worth it.

Re: FAQ: Your Super Mario 3D Land Questions

LordTendoboy

Level editor please. Do it Nintendo.

The Mario vs DK games have excellent level editors. Imagine a full-fledged platforming adventure with a robust level editor... It might not work for a 3D game, but 2D games like New Super Mario Bros. would be much better with one.

Re: Nikkei Leads with Nintendo Firmware Update Details

LordTendoboy

@ennan

Nintendo is cheap, we just have to deal with it. The iPod Touch Gen4 shoots HD video and pictures (up to 720p), so I don't see why Nintendo can't put better cameras in their handhelds. Even the Vita has better cameras than the 3DS!

I just want them to update the sound recorder so we aren't stuck with a 10 second recording limit per sound file. Adding a "Play All" option would be nice as well.

Re: Nintendo Holding Online 3DS Press Conference on Friday

LordTendoboy

I have a feeling the video recording feature will be extremely short, like less than 2 minutes of recording time. Just like how the sound recording only gives you 10 seconds of recording time.

Prove me wrong Nintendo. Stop holding back and do something amazing for once.

Here is what I want Iwata to reveal:

  • Add StreetPass people to your friend list
  • Allow us to transfer our purchased Wii Virtual Console titles to the 3DS
  • Announce more GBC games, and more systems in general
  • Flash support for the internet browser
  • Youtube app
  • Facebook & Twitter apps (for those that care about that stuff)
  • Allow us to save different types of image files from the browser, not just JPEG images
  • Messaging and IM feature
  • Yahoo Messenger, AIM, etc. apps
  • update the eShop so games are categorized better, no more useless categories
  • Give us an option to sort the Home menu icons by name, by type
    (3DS software, DSi software, VC software), by download date, by most played, etc.

Re: Review: Just Dance 3 (Wii)

LordTendoboy

Dance games shouldn't work on the Wii, since the Wii Remote only tracks your arm/wrist movement.

Isn't Kinect better suited for dance games, since it's a camera that tracks full-body movement?
