They tried to make Wilds too accessible and pushed away the true fans. It took me two MH games to really get down how the game worked, but after I figured it out I felt like I accomplished something. Now there’s no prepping for hunts by collecting resources and crafting when you can just pick up bugs instead of cold or hot drinks for instance, and at this point why are paintballs still in the game.
@Sylamp totally agree, like you said, set out and rush to the monster as fast as possible picking up a few things along the way, and then try to get in a few attacks before your party kills it as fast as possible.
Definitely like the game, accidentally over leveled a bit, doing to many side quests or too much exploring definitely can put you over the main quest levels, not huge for me though.
My only issue is, I like the story, but why is it after every main story, hero quest boss fight I feel like “yes I took that fool out” and after every one the game cuts to an anime scene where the party is getting beat down and barely hanging on lol. I always feel like I just wasted time winning this fight for right after, the game makes it feel like I lost or barely won, the cut scenes are amazing though, straight out of an anime.
@moodycat 100% agree, the gatcha system for the blades is what killed XBC2 for me, played 1 twice, once on the wii and again on the wiiU, played X and now loving 3, couldn’t finish 2.
I can’t stand the bonus points after a game, I literally won a battle royal game with no kills, got all my points destroying those stationary drones, picking up energy and got the end match bot bonus. Lost a team battle we finished in first due to bonus points, the big drones are like 500 points or something crazy. Just not a fan of playing well against other players and losing because someone smashed more drones that don’t move or attack. Maybe I will get used to it.
Was really looking forward to this one, ugh the review has me on the fence now. For $19.99 maybe I will grab it as a Tactical RPG and Dark Crystal fan. Was hoping there would be some comments from people who already played it.
Got this game and I am not disappointed, I like puzzle quest type games, well good ones. This game is definitely one of the good ones, I like it a lot.
@XenoShaun nope you weren't the only one. I literally jumped all over the switch expecting a Monster Hunter game to be announced for a western release during E3. I can't lie though I do like the footage of the new Mario game, the "capture" ability looks cool. The first screen shot i had seen I was hoping that the dinosaur was from a MH announcement, but then quickly noticed the red Mario hat and mustache lol !!
This was just ok to me, not a huge fan of the style of courses or controls, plus they don't tell you how to play, unless I missed it there's no tutorial or explanation of what to do or gameplay modes.

Got Sephiroth today, delivered a day early from Target, not complaining!!!
Re: Got Joy-Con Drift? Don't Worry, Those Switch Controllers Can Live On As Works Of Art
I agree, not a fan of the Joy Con’s at all. If it wasn’t for the Pro Controller I would’ve skipped a lot of games on the Switch.

Re: Feature: Will These 10 Classic JRPGs Ever Come To Switch?
What about a Wild Arms port or remake, the original from 1996, really liked that one back in the PS1 days, sequels were ok.
Re: Star Wars: Republic Commando Appears To Be On The Way To Switch
Was a great Xbox game, the companion novels were a really good read too !!

Re: Review: Ni no Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch - Level-5's RPG Classic Will Bewitch Your Switch
Surprisingly never finished this on the PS3, too many other great games out or coming out to give it a second chance.
Re: Review: Astral Chain - Platinum's Best Game Ever? You'd Better Believe It
Too many good switch games between July-October, I don’t have time for all of them 😫 !!!

Stardew Valley, still figuring it out, and a Little Destiny 2
Re: Review: SteamWorld Dig 2 (Switch eShop)
Few hours in, hit the US eshop at midnight, great game, definitely enjoying it so far. Another winner in the Steamworld series in my opinion.
Re: Video: See the Big Difference Between Monster Hunter XX on Switch and 3DS
I want this game in English so bad, great demo, glad to play on a tv with a pro controller again.

@Kalmaro HAHA I agree, they need to localize it, biggest E3 disappointment for me, no MH western switch version announcement.
