Re: Review: Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault (Switch 2) - Shopkeeping Dungeon Crawler Returns With Big Changes, But The Same Addictive Loop

@Aquinas I felt this way, but after seeing how positive its reception was the other week, I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised by the visual impact of playing it via the demo. The mc still looks ugly as sin in this one to my eyes in the full equipment pause menu view, but the combat looks great and doesn't have the generic/AI-ish feel which previews and screenshots also gave me.

The performance and loading pauses.. did not impress me, but I was only playing undocked (although with the updated, patched demo). Kind of a hard sell at launch when the original plus all DLC arguably does appeal more to me aesthetically as well, while also going for less than a cup of black coffee, but at least the demo influenced me to dive into that.

honestly, if the Godzilla Melee remake had been announced within this direct, it would've been the highlight for me. I'm glad Onimusha and Dragon's Dogma II are making the jump (didn't anticipate either, despite RE engine generally porting well, obviously), and for Space Marine 2. I wished for Metro: Exodus and, even with a delay, 2039 being announced for Switch 2 this year, as my minor specific unfulfilled hopes, but I appreciated at least one major games showcase this week without horror and shooter oversaturation. Mildly disappointed at less seen of Duskbloods this time than last, but I'm glad the network test is soonish. Anyone bemoaning lack of high quality games to play on this console is.. deeply incurious, I guess.
