@sonicnerd14 Sakurai already said in another article he is adding less characters the Next game nothing about porting. He also technically confirmed he is working on the next game. Not any soon but whenever they start.

@NEStalgia what do you mean by spin? Also sorry if sounded aggressive, however just because it builds off the previous game or takes a little or lot from it doesn't mean it can't be new or a sequel. If sakurai or Nintendo After Release date confirmed it as a enhanced port, sequel or new game. Like i said before it's just merely assumptions on what's be shown. You can't force your opinion as fact, that doesn't mean it's a enhanced port and i get it, i wouldn't care if it was a enhanced port because i loved smash wii u/ 3ds not including smash tour, but i still great. But until we either get a smash direct or Nintendo direct of some kind or get the Full gsme ourselves, then we're guessing what it is.

@Cobalt There a journalist not sakurai, Nintendo, or anyone who works with them. That is just a opinion. Unless they extremely close with Nintendo, have insider info, is sakurai, or a higher authority in Nintendo, it doesn't matter what they said. That's like saying " I've have played every single game out, so it's a port!" Doesn't mean anything.

@Cobalt yes Tons and i means TONS OF PEOPLE loved it despite what you say. I know they will add at least if not story mode or adventure mode, they will add smash run because 1. A lot of people played the 3ds version 2. It sold more. 3. D smash tour comes back then so will smash run just like they did with the 3ds stages on the Nintendo switch.

@Cobalt donkey Kong tropical freeze was on the wii u and tropical freeze, donkey Kong country is nothing like tropical freeze besides the looks it's a tropical freeze has zero levels from the other game.

@XenoShaun People expect to much surprise games and stuff, they need to be appreciative of what we got and stop complaining. They even said they have some games they didn't want to show at E3 and have it's own Nintendo direct.

@XenoShaun You do realize that they warned you about the E3 and said that smash would take up a majority of the direct, so you set yourself up for disappointment. Plus a majority of people were satisfied in some way. Not worse than the Nintendo E3 back in wii days.Imo it was good if not including smash bros ultimate.

@aaronsullivan a enhanced port example of an enhanced port is captain toad or Mario kart 8 because they aren't just porting everything they did on the Wii u on the without adding things like maybe dlc is free this time around or adding one or two news things. Example, captain toad isn't an exact port this time because it adds extra stages,
If it was a port it wouldn't add anything and would be the same as the Wii u version. However in smash bros case, it has more than enough stuff to make it a full fledged new game. Example. Things to make a new smash bros game new characters so far 3 so far might be more check, new stages such as in the trailer for each character on the smash website Mario odyssey and great plateau. Might be more, check. New graphics they may look similar but you can tell it is more than just lighting. New items? Some were shown but could be more TBA. New game modes? TBA. New engine? I know what your thinking impossible, Not, it actually is possible for people who don't know they were using unreal engine 4 because they miyamoto talked about how they had an unreal engine built for the switch to help make games look better examples kirby all star allies, super Mario party, smash bros ultimate, osteopath traveler, mario plus rabbits battle kingdom, and legend of zelda breath of the wild, etc I could go on why each of these games obviously look so well regardless of you dislike them or not. Lastly the Wii u version was made in 2.5 years and even was confirmed by source Gaming, so If they used they switch (which they said is easier to make games on than the switch.) And consider it started in 2016 which was also proven by source Gaming, they actually could finished "half" of the game by then. Yeah you heard me half of the game. Fir people who didn't want to watch the smash invitational, sakurai said they are halfway through development so this isn't even the who game. So to all you "it's a port or enhanced port" people it's to early for judgment.

@roadrunner343 they are unique enough in either damage moves or weapons to mot be exact clone more like semi clones.

@Radbot42 Because one they aren't exact copies for example young link hits faster than normal like and had fire arrows. Wolf is nothing like fox in moves besides final smash. Toon link is a lightweight which makes him different doctor Mario hits harder and has captain falcon down spike attack. While lucina has no Difference and dark pits arrows aren't enough to make him different including his final smash.

@zool No it isn't, it's been confirmed by the creator as a new game stop arguing. What makes a new: new graphics check, new designs check, new items check, new move sets check, new stages check, returning characters check, new or returning games modes TBA.

@aaronsullivan clearly you don't know what "Port" means. A "Port" is everything used from the previous game including stages characters etc with no new content at all. What you're describing is a enhanced port. Do your research before arguing next time.

He also said he wouldn't never add an animal crossing character due to them not being a fighter or being to adorable, yet they were still added. Sakurai constantly goes against things he said.
