not surprising. I played ToTK, and it's also a great game, very well made, but I felt I played Breath of the Wild: Alternative Version, rather than an actual sequel. Really didn't deserve the GOTY for me (unlike BoTW in 2017)
@LXP8 I think it's because back in the Wii U era there weren't many games in general, and because the Switch is still the only console where physical media is a thing pretty much. Digital-only games (or with few physical copies) are rarely leaked from my knowledge
I see these events as a sign that platform-exclusive games, even from 1st party companies, are going to die in a near future, and I think Microsoft already realized that, and now we see Sony doing more or less the same as well.
Think about this way: the main objective of a company is to make as much money as possible, so it's a much better financial decision to port games to PC and mobile than expect someone to buy a console to play just a single game. Nowadays, games can be easily ported from one platform to another, so it's definitely worth it (in my view) for these companies
It looks considerably better than the first game, with interesting new gimmicks (because the first game is fun but repetitive as hell). But again, it's Konami, so we need to take everything with a big grain of salt
Edit: would be better if the Bombermen had no voice, because that voice acting is cringy as hell
is FIFA surprising for some people? I mean, football is by far the most popular sport in the world, so obviously football "simulators" are going to sell a lot
I really like GamePass honestly. It's especially good for people that can't simply spend 60 dollars on a single game. Nintendo could try this, but I don't think it would be a good financial strategy, because while Nintendo is "big", it's a dustmite compared to Microsoft in its entirety.
Piracy can definitely used for preservation. Surely, most people don't use it for that, but it can be used. It was exactly because of pirating that we still have ROMs of Satellaview games. But the most important thing about piracy, imo, is that it is exactly what allows lower income people to get games, just like me in the past. I don't live in Europe, US, Australia, Japan, or somewhere else, I (or my parents) could not just simply spend over 50 dollars for a game, so I had no other choice other than buying pirated cartridges, CD/DVDs, or downloading pirated games. It also allowed me to know very obscure games, like Satellaview games, lol
this game is definitely the best thing Pokémon had in over 10 years. But the complaints about the graphics are valid, the game still looks like it was made for the Wii or PS2, running at 30 FPS with no AA, lol. I have an impression that they tried to make the graphics mimic some sort of painting style (maybe like oil painting), but I don't think they got the intended result. Seems like GameFreak is still learning how to work on screens larger than 5 inches, but considering that the game is actually good, I'll give it a pass, unlike Sword and Shield.
I had to sign up on NL to say this: I really like Gamepass, it's absurdly good for its price. Coming from a lower income country, it's kinda absurd to choose to pay 60+ USD + fees on a single Nintendo/Sony game, whereas Gamepass barely costs 100 USD a year with tons of games. Another thing: I really doubt they will make any game Xbox exclusive. Microsoft earns much more selling their games in multiple platforms, especially on Windows with Steam and MS Store, than keeping a title locked on a console.

fortunately, if it's on the internet, it will never leave the internet. God bless torrents!

fortunately they don't have the power to shut down the good ol' torrent. Better keep the soundtracks on my dedicated drive then.
