Thank goodness, the camera spinning and the way it screwed with directional control was the worst part of this game by far. I stopped playing a few weeks ago when I saw this change was coming.
It seems kind of important to point out that neither Portia nor this game are, in fact, farm sims. They may have a few vaguely farming-related activities, which are totally optional, but the core of the gameplay is about crafting. If you're coming into this review comparing the game to Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, you're doing it wrong.
@ZoteTheMighty I don't think they'd be launching new platforms onto the service this late in the Switch's lifespan if they weren't planning on pulling it all forward onto the whatever the Switch's successor ends up being.
Does the NSO launcher support linking 2 different games right now, or do both players have to be playing the same game? Regardless, that should be a fairly simple UI update, and would be good to have for the Oracle games as well. There shouldn't be any non-money reason that they couldn't put them on NSO and still have Home compatibility, surely it's capable of disabling save-states for individual games, and pointing Home at the save data is no different than if they're standalone, they'll still know exactly where to locate it.
You forgot to mention that it's glacially slow. Based on the whole relaxed tavern tabletop vibe, I'm pretty sure it was intentional, but every action in the game, both exploration and combat, just takes a little bit longer to execute that it feels like it should. Apparently they're working on a patch for that, so I'm probably not going to finish it until that happens.
"Did you contribute to Tales of Symphonia's global sales?"
I've owned at least 3 different copies, so I'd say so. Symphonia is my favorite game full stop, though objectively, Berseria might be an even better game.
There was about a 15-year period where there were basically none worth playing, so I'm pretty glad we're spoiled for choice these days. It is kind of interesting that Stardew released right around the same time that Bokumono finally got it's mojo back, but I'll take as many as I can get. Sidenote: I'm not really sure I'd count Portia, a lot of the secondary elements are similar, but the focus isn't on farming at all.
I feel like this article pretty solidly answers the question of "can we have too many farming sims?" I'm pretty glad there are other options. Olive town might be worth playing in a couple of months, until then, at least Sandrock will probably hit early access soon...
This is what, the 4th or 5th time we've heard this rumor? I'll believe it when Nintendo announces it, not before. Also, bigger cart sizes has almost nothing to do with the hardware.
Are people actually complaining that Atlus didn't create an English patch for a 25-year old SNES game for a free re-release? Get over yourselves. If you want to play the Japanese version, you can create a Japanese E-Shop account pretty easily.

Re: Fantasy Life i Gets Switch 2 Release Date With Paid Upgrade Path For Switch 1 Players
$2.59 feels like "we didn't really want to charge for this, but we had to justify the extra time spent on it to management"
Re: Review: Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection (Switch) - A Comprehensive Round-Up With A Few Real Winners
It's really a shame they didn't extend the window a few years and include the DS World Championship games, that's where they really got good, IMO.

Love the accents, and love that I could tell the trailer was for Xenoblade 3 the moment someone started speaking
Re: WayForward Project Lead Says Its "Craziest, Most Impressive Lineup" Is On The Way
I was joking about them porting the GBA Fire Emblem games if they ever finish Advance Wars, but it sounds like that might be a real possibility.

Zestiria being #4 is pretty embarrassing...
Re: Talking Point: Are There Too Many Harvest Moon-Likes On The Market?
@Deltath To be fair, it's not like the non-indie titles have had a great hit-rate over the last decade or so either.
