@N00BiSH Yeah, agree - I think the graphics still hold up well with the original. I'm a bit over all these remasters and remakes.

I hope Princess Peach is African American we could really do with some more diversity.

I honestly think Nintendo would've been better off releasing an HD remake of Wii Sports and Resort combined. Even though that'd be lazy from Nintendo at least there'd be a bit more variety. I had the feeling the game was going to turn out this way after playing the demo - I was pretty disappointed how tennis didn't feel any different than Wii Sports.

@victordamazio Spot on. Any character is possible, we know Nintendo always break the unwritten so-called rules. I personally am not a big fan of having another Mario character but if the last character to be announced was Waluigi, it's guaranteed that Smash Bros Ultimate/DLC will end in a bang and I'd like to see that instead of them revealing some character that most people have never heard of.

@rockodoodle I have the same struggle as well. I guess it depends how often you can see yourself returning to the game. Given that the review has stated that there is "Lots of missions to complete and unlockables to chase after" I'll probably get it digital.

Can the web developers at Nintendo Life please make the 'leave a comment' section at the top of the comments rather than right down the bottom. Took me way too long to get down here. I suppose there's enough comments here anyway, but here's my bob's worth. If they sold the OLED Switch console by itself (no dock, no joy cons, no other accessories) for something like $300 AUD, that would be ideal and I would consider it, cause at the end of the day, the screen is the only big deal. But of course they won't release a package of that kind because that's not profitable enough for Nintendo. At this current point in time, I really don't need it.

Did anyone else hear rumours that the glass-stained picture of Princess Peach on the castle was also an entrance to another world? I really hoped that was true until I collected all 120 stars and found out I couldn't. Would have been a really cool easter egg though.

I got a lot more hyped for this game after the direct rather than the E3 presentation. The variety of game modes and customisation of smash games is an A+ for me.

@Brett_is_dead You mean over 10 million people. I get it. The Wii U was disappointing - but no Wii U owner (which would be made of a lot of Nintendo fans) should waste their money on the Switch - as it only offers rereleased games you can get on other consoles.

@chiefeagle02 I'm the same with you. Why should we buy a Switch when we can already get the new Zelda game, Pokken Tournament, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, Lego City, Mario Kart 8, DKC Tropical Freeze etc. DLC should be nothing to hope about either. Really pathetic presentation from Nintendo.

The whole thing was filled with re-released games! A kick in the face for any Wii U owner. Most of the new Switch games are just lazy re-releases, Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Pokken Tournament, Lego City and now its Hyrule Warriors and DKC Tropical Freeze! Pathetic! We can also add the other non-nintendo releases. Zelda BotW could also be included in this list, since it came out on the Wii U. Really disappointing Nintendo!

@AlternateButtons Totally agree with you. I almost feel like not buying the game because of how Playtonic reacted. Nevertheless, I will still get Yooka-Laylee. But I'm so peeved off at them.

@Chandlero $470 Australian Dollars at EB Games - I was thinking the Switch may have been $400 AUD, since that would be the price if it was a direct USD to AUD conversion

I wasn't impressed with the Switch right when it was announced. I was still hoping that Nintendo would win me with their presentation, but I'm still not impressed. I'm sure the Mario game will be good. There were some big Pros, but I felt like there were too many cons - pricing ($470 AU! Ouch!), paid online service, making us buy another Mario Kart 8 (should really be some discount for those who owned the original), low storage... the list just goes on. Sorry Nintendo, but I'm not buying the Switch anytime soon.

That's pathetic Playtonic. You just wanted to have the game on the Switch, not because of technical difficulties. I'll probably never play this game, since the Switch is a piece of junk.

@3MonthBeef Yeah, I know what you mean. But the Switch tablet controller does not create any unique gaming experience (since there's no dual screen play). I myself am not much of a handheld gamer (that of course doesn't mean I would NEVER use the handheld capabilities) and I feel like I'd be paying extra for a feature that I'm not keen on. I see the 'Switch' as a bundle, like a PS4 coming with the Vita (maybe not the best example, hopefully you get what I mean).

THAT IS EXACTLY WANT I'D WANT. I can imagine if I were to buy the Switch, I'd rarely use the screen and it'd be a waste of money for me. Bringing a 'Switch' console, with a Pro controller would be great! - No gimmicks.

This console is exactly what the Wii U should have been. Overall, I see the Switch as a much better version of the Wii U. I honestly don't know how to feel about this console.

So, I guess this means the Switch won't have dual screen play, like the Wii U
