@Dang_69 Okay what's weird about that is I SPECIFICALLY remember around the time I first got the Switch 2, I downloaded a ton of demos out of curiosity and when I noticed Trails of the Sky was the Switch 1 version, I checked Romancing Saga and I SPECIFICALLY remember it was listed as "Nintendo Switch 2 Software". I redownloaded it tho, and now it's listed as Switch 1 Software. Maybe I'm getting things mixed up with another game demo, like Raidou or something? Idk, I just do remember it being listed for Switch 2 and looking higher res than 720p in handheld. I'm likely wrong tho
I wish the Switch 2 version had an actual demo; you can download the demo from the Switch 2 listing, but it's just the Switch 1 version, there's no native Switch 2 version. Trails of the Sky did this too, and I don't get why beyond "too expensive". The purpose of a demo is to showcase the game to consumers, so why would you actively choose to showcase a version that looks and runs worse than it actually would if the customer bought the full game? It's a weird choice.
P5R and Haven both looked fairly pixelated in handheld, so now even if they don't seem like full 1080p, they look MUCH better to the point I'm not thinking about it, and that's about all I ask. The Ori games look so great now too, they were already amazing for the hardware but now they're even better
I mean...Ig releasing any kind of "updated model/variant" is good for business, since it helps to keep the product relevant? Idk how much the original ones cost by comparison, but like...I could maybe see myself picking it up a few years down the line? It doesn't seem like a bad product, just would probs be more of a novelty purchase than anything
@Sambuc Agreed, but this does show how capable the Switch 2 really is. It's good to see regardless of the gameplay in this case, since the Switch is...the Switch 1 (Also I'm not playing this either way, too much of a scaredy cat lol)
I'm actually a huge fan of the Blazblue dubs, so to see it was flat-out removed here is...both weird and disappointing. Still, seems like it's pretty interesting to me, I'll give a go sometime
@Spider-Kev A lot of that 53 GB isn't them adding to the game's size, it's just rewritten code. I agree it's a huge update and game sizes have gotten pretty nuts, but it's definitely nowhere near an additional 53 GB, it's just 53 GB total including both added and rewritten code
Does anyone know anything about Stardew Valley Switch 2 Edition? The direct said it would be available in Fall 2025, and there's like 20 days left, so...little worried about that?
Would 100% buy as a display piece if I had enough spare cash lying around. It seems like a solid controller, but expensive, and I couldn't bear the thought of those glossy sticks being ruined by fingerprints
Considering how the Switch 2 version runs (Even though it really shouldn't run like this, this game is far from graphically intensive and it's an Unreal 4 title), I'm kind of glad because that would've been an even bigger downgrade. Still, they probably could've just released it a year later and no one would've minded, but I'm sorta glad they didn't

Nvidia may suck as a company, but my god their engineers are wizards. I'm glad to see studio's putting the tech to good use
