Re: Nintendo Confirms Development of Games That Will Have "Improved" Gameplay and "Enhanced" Graphics on New 3DS

As some have already said...just look at other devices out in the market now. The iphone, ipad, kindle fire, 3DS to name a few. These devices change at least once every year. You don't have to buy every single device that comes out with an upgrade or revision. I have an original Kindle Fire, first generation still. I have no need to upgrade to the newest and greatest as my original Fire does exactly what I need it to do. Same with my original 3DS model, it still plays all 3DS games. It's up to the consumer to decide, should I go for this revised model, or wait to see what's coming in the next few months?

@Grimlock_King
My suggestion if I may: Keep your current system in good condition. If you have a job, start putting aside $20 per pay check. By the time the new 3DS comes out here in NA or in Europe, you should have more than enough $$ for it. It you don't work, hopefully you have an allowance. Save your allowance. Your current system can also be traded in to lower the cost of the new 3DS. I think that the new system will be released around June 2015 as was the current 3DS was released in June. That's my suggestion, that's what I plan to do anyways.

I've held off buying any new 3DS system until now. I've been waiting for Nintendo to release a version with the four shoulder buttons and a second circle pad. I guess this "new" 3DS is the model i've been waiting for. So more than likely i'll pony up the dough and get it. I still have my original day one purchased 3DS. It's been good to me and still play on it from time to time.

I think with this New 3DS model we'll be seeing more FPS(first person shooter) games as in Metroid, Call of Duty, Cult County(by Renegade Kid), Dementium(also by Renegade Kid), etc. I'm up for this new system and am anxious to see what new games will be developed for it. I think I'm going to hold off on buying it right away until I get a better view of the "new" types of games that will be coming out for it.

Thanks a bunch. Yeah, i know eventually i need a bigger sd card. may get one next time around. I need to look for a good sale. Missed a good one a couple weeks ago for a 32gb for $8.99. Oh well, there will be more i'm sure.

Re: Nintendo Download: 15th May (North America)

To anyone that downloadas Moon Chronicles, can you post the number of blocks required to download the game to the 3DS? I've only got about 1850 open blocks on my sd card. I'll be getting the game tomorrow as i have no money in the bank. Have to wait till pay day. Bummer!

Re: Nintendo Download: 17th April (North America)

Ha! Hadn't played my 3DS in about a month and I decided to pick it up today and charge it and play. So happens today that SMB3 is released today too. WooHoo! Perfect timing! Now I just need Moon Chronicles and Cult County!

Re: Review: Retro City Rampage: DX (3DS eShop)

The game plays great. I like the fact that you can pretty much do what you want when you want. Now i feel like going to Gamestop and snatching up a copy of GTA Chinatown Wars to have a more current style open world on my 3DS. Hope i find a copy this weekend when i'm out and about.

Re: Review: Retro City Rampage: DX (3DS eShop)

Got the game last night and i can say that it is just pure retro awesomeness! For those asking about the controls with no CPP support, i can say that you won't miss the CPP at all. It would've been nice to have the option just to see how it would play with the CPP. However, I grew up in the 80's with only the D-pad and the A and B buttons. So i don't really care much for the CPP for this retro goodness. Just my opinion. This new generation of gamers with thumb sticks and circle pads might think different.

I don't have a Wii U, only a 3DS. Can I still find you with the 3DS Miiverse? I still haven't gotten used to the whole miiverse thing.

I'll check it out when i get home and see if i can find you and i'll follow you once i find you.

@MAN1AC
I know what you mean. When I first heard they were going to do that with Cult County also, i was a bit disappointed. However, being the FPS fan that I am, I'll be getting this first day. I've waited how many years since the 3DS came out for a FPS game? Yeah, first day buy for me.

Re: Renegade Kid's New 3DS FPS Is Moon Chronicles

@Jools
Do we know how many blocks this eShop game will take up? Just wondering as i have only about 3000 blocks left on my SD card.

@SubZer023
3DS is looking good for us shooter fans that have been waiting for a FPS shooter.

@DerpSandwich
You can always wait till all the episodes are released and then get the game and DLC at the same time. Just a thought...

@SubZer023
Isn't Ironfall a 3rd person shooter? Still looking forward to it regardless if its 3rd or 1st person shooter.

Re: Renegade Kid's New 3DS FPS Is Moon Chronicles

@Gioku
I would think it's DLC as that is what the article states after the first is released. I doubt that they'll release it as individual icons.

I for one am excited for this one. I've been trying to find the DS Moon at Gamestop and can't seem to find it. This is my chance to play the original but with improved graphics. Can't wait. Just hoping they're still working on Cult County as well.

I've bought two other eShop games from RK, Mutant Mudds and ATV Wild Ride. Both are excellent games and i still play them.

Re: Renegade Kids Regains Publication Rights to Moon

Gustoff

Can't wait for Moon on 3DS, Cult County and hopefully a Modern War style FPS. Big fan of FPSs, so anything that Renegade Kid releases as FPS, i'm getting. Went to Gamestop and got Dementium II. Awesome and scary. Now looking for Dementium: The Ward and Moon. Can't seem to find them at any Gamestop anymore. Will keep looking.

When is the big announcement this month on the FPS that Renegade Kid is working on? Any specific day this month?

Re: Feature: A Year in Development - Renegade Kid

Gustoff

Ever since ATV Wild Ride 3D came out on 3DS, i've been a fan of RK. Even went out and got Dementium 2 so that i could play it. Very good game and pretty scary. @Windy currently holds ATV Wild Ride online tournaments on Saturday nights, check the Online Forums for details. @Jules - any new insight on Cult County? Nothing in the interview on that front. I remember an article earlier this year that yall were aiming for a 2013 release for the first episode. I figure that may not happen anymore since it is the 23rd already...keep up the awesomeness RK!

Re: Nintendo Disables Swapnote's SpotPass Service Due to Online Safety Concerns

Gustoff

WOWZA! Maybe this will pave the way for the 3DS MiiVerse that is still to be released? That'll solve us not having Swapnote/Letterbox. Still though, i'm very upset that they just suddenly stopped the service. I agree with many here that the offenders should've been the ones to get banned, not everyone who uses the service. Even though i didn't reply to most notes, i still checked in everyday to see what Friends would post and pictures they would send. I'll miss Brandon's Nintendo Collectible of the Week. Classic stuff he collected from Nintendo. This is BULL! I'm seriously thinking of trading in my 3DS and thinking of getting a Vita. Firstly, no FPS on 3DS !!!!!! And now services just getting axed! What's next Nintendo?
