i think it would've been a good idea if for the wii, they had kept the same graphics but at hd resulotion. i agree with you saying they should've prepared sooner but transport yourself to 2006, the 1st xbox 360s dudnt have hdmi so was the wii being SD really that much of a heartbreak?

As a huge shmup fan (which doesent require any knowledge of japanese beyond navigating menu's) importing has been essential for me this gen, glad the xbox one is region free as I had to import a 360 for the slew of shmups that will never make it elsewhere. There's really no valid arguments contained in the article other than those which are blatantly anti-consumer.

Region Locking benefits the consumer is absolutely no way whatsoever and only the corporations have something to gain due to more controlled sales, there is really no excuse to release a region locked device it this day and age full stop, its an anti-consumer measure, one that while may not affect many people has no benefits whatsoever.

Dont think there's many that would argue for region locking as its totally anti consumer and offers 0 benefits to consumer and all to the publisher, still unfortunately any hopes of wii u/3ds being made region free are wishful thinking. Nintendo are always way behind their competitors (hd/online etc) so expect this in 2-3 generations time if at all.

Looks like a unambitious filler mario title, one with a short development time, prolly to fill the void if the wii u's library. I'am sure it'll be fun but there's certainly another more ambitious title in development i'd imagine.

I wouldnt worry. I have no interest in the crew (doesnt even seem "next gen") and the wii u is sure to get all rayman and assassins creed and probably BG&E2 too

No longer exclusive now either, coming to 360 (with smartglass support) and ps3 (with vita support)

@Harrison_Peter seriously looking at your list made me realise how little sony actually has: Uncharted series (1&2 great 3rd ok) Infamous (didnt like these at all even though I got them for free) The Team ICO games? (?? I didnt know team ico brought out any ps3 games beyond sony tryin to resell me ps2 games I already have) The Quantic Dream games? (Seriously?? David Cage is more overrated than peter moloneux, and they have only one ps3 game as far as I know. 'Asthma Simulator 2010' which is seriously a joke game with an awful script -SN exclusives like Journey? Thumbs up, enjoyed this for the 45 lenght! GT series - Forza series has surpassed this in everyway possible, Think of upcoming games, The Last of Us - think ill skip the cinema release and wait for the blueray The Last Guardian - wont be out this gen and probably not at all, this is another example of sony exploiting fanboys by telling them about this great game that wont ever release Beyond... Sony have become a powerhouse for (very little )exclusives.(actually worth playing).
