Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (27th April)

DriftDT

I've been playing a lot of N64 games recently! It's a catalog I haven't explored much when compared to other systems. I'll finish the original Ocarina of Time this weekend, having only played 3D before, and I'll get more into Paper Mario! Also picked up The Knight Witch on sale, so I'll be checking that out

Re: Poll: What's The Best Pokémon Game Ever?

DriftDT

Very close between B&W and B2W2. Either way, gen 5 was by far my favorite. Best soundtrack, story, and gameplay, in my opinion. I can see why some people may be frustrated at the more consistent interruptions, a la Sun and Moon, just not as bad, but I didn't mind really and that's just me. Sun and Moon are actually my second favorite games.

Re: Sakurai Says He's Not Thinking About A New Smash Bros. Game, But Won't Rule It Out

I feel as though any Smash game that comes out after Ultimate will be pretty underwhelming in the end, at least if they aren't going to bring all the characters back, which was kinda the selling point of Ultimate. I'd be perfectly happy if they just bring this game forward to their next console, and if they'd like to add more DLC later down the line, sounds good to me.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Delivers Its Verdict On Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Honestly, if the resolution and fps numbers weren't revealed, I wouldn't have even realized how low they are. People are talking a lot about how XC2 had really low resolution and fps at times too, and I never noticed that either. I don't really care about the numbers at all, it still looks beautiful, and it's evident either way that Monolith Soft put a ton of effort into this game.

Re: Returning Players Can Collect Some Bonus Gold In Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

@BabyYoshi65 I personally can't speak for Xenoblade Chronicles (though I will be able to in about a day!), but Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is fantastic. Probably in like my top 10 favorite games, and I'm not even a huge JRPG guy. Definitely worth a shot. I hear constant good things about Xenoblade Chronicles though, and most of those who've played both 1 and 2 prefer the original. Xenoblade Chronicles X is also great, but I didn't get as into it, though I'd like to give it another shot.

@PickledKong64 Same here. Normally I wouldn't credit those leaks at all, but leakers have kinda been on a roll recently, so there's definitely a possibility. It'll be exciting to get a new Metroid release at all since there hasn't been one since I got into the series, and if it's a 2D Metroid game, it'll be even more exciting with the fact that there hasn't been an original 2D one for 18 years.

@PickledKong64 My first two as well! Hollow Knight is still my favorite game of all time, and Super Metroid got me into one of my favorite franchises of all time. Fantastic games. Also, I hope you don't mind me talking about Metroid Fusion since you asked Jimmy, but I really enjoyed it. While it was definitely more linear, I think the less linear areas in each zone made up for that. Loved the story and scary aspects of that game.
