Re: Bill Gates Apparently Put "A Lot Of Pressure" On Xbox's Team Leaders To Respond To The Wii Craze

Dracavius

@Delycache You realize those last minute sales are irrelevant?

Culturally, the 360 had a stranglehold on that generation. It won that “war.” Likewise, the failure of the One at launch is what led to the exodus to PS4 and it won that “war” in culture and the irrelevant sales numbers. Not that console wars are anything but a figment of the imaginations in immature gamers worldwide.

Re: Feature: A Perfect Metascore? We Play The Switch Game "Better Than Zelda: Breath Of The Wild"

Dracavius

Apologies if I offend anyone, but this isn’t a game. It runs on a console, yes. But it isn’t a game. They are called visual novels not as a genre, but as a medium. They are stories. Pressing a button to continue the dialogue does not constitute it being a game.

So this doesn’t count in the slightest as “a game rated higher than Breath of the Wild.” The story is phenomenal, yes. And I’m glad people find it so. But this is not a game.

Re: Nintendo Lawyers Hit Fan-Made Zelda Game With Fatal Copyright Claim

Why are you people defending a thief? If you made something and found out later that another was using your creation without your consent, you would be upset too and want it to end. Your full of it if you say otherwise. Law is law. If they don’t renew after 75 years, then anyone can do whatever they want with assets. However, it hasn’t been 75 years for this to even occur.

As for creativity, it is one thing to use assets you created in other projects. It is another entirely to steal assets from others for your own project. Create your own assets, your own story, your own engine. Otherwise, no matter how much you whine and moan, it does exhibit a lack of creativity.

Now quit pretending you are on high horses and climb down from that pile of trash everyone else sees you standing on.

Won’t be replying, but you get your last words in anyway. We all know you need those egos stroked.

Re: Review: Spellbreak - A Neat Fortnite Rival Which Ironically Lacks That Magical Touch

Dracavius

Fortnite is a knock off itself. So for you people out there thinking it did something original, think again. It simply added building to the mix. For the worse. Having a more animated aesthetic can’t make you a knock off either.

Spellbreak is simply another entry into the Battle Royale “genre.” And, personally, the only entry so far to add any fun to the glorified game mode. I actually want to play it when I get home from work. And I can’t stress enough the implications in that sentence. The combat, spell mechanics, runes, and tempo of the matches just align in such a way that the game is consistently fun for me. Aside from Warzone, which I only play with friends, Spellbreak is the only BR title I have ever wanted to play.

This Stoneshaper will see you guys on the battleground.

Re: Random: The Pokémon Company Re-Uploads Its Pokémon Unite Videos, And Fans Aren't Happy

@Fido007 You realize it IS free to play and not free to start right? Offering characters for sale isn’t stopping you from playing. Same exact setup as every free to play MOBA. Nintendo’s nomenclature is irrelevant.

I don’t expect someone with such a poor concept of humor to have the cognitive capacity to understand that, however.

Nobody at Tencent or Nintendo cares what you people think. And you do care, otherwise you wouldn’t have read the article and found my comment to execute a poorly formed insult of a reply.

Re: What Comes After Switch? Nintendo Discusses Plans For Future Game Consoles

Dracavius

@SwitchVogel For me it isn’t so much the first party games that are lacking. It is the third party titles. Sure, we have lots of indie games and shovelware. However, I believe the fact that people weren’t sure the Switch would succeed highly affected publishers to throw money behind it. We are missing some major handheld titles so far such as the Shin Megami Tensei titles, Ace, and more. Now that it is apparent we may see these games pop up more as the Switch’s lifespan is further extended.
