Is the the 720p video a "sign of things to come" regarding the port or is the 1080p version still being processed or something?
I mean 60fps is "king" for racing games but 720p won't look especially good docked.
And they're also advertising "high resolution textures" - 720p won't be doing them too much justice.
Don't get me wrong - of course it's ideal to have everything on one card, but sometimes/for some of us it's not always possible.
I mean I already bought/started-with a 128gb card. I wasn't gonna put it aside (as I don't have any other device that needs one) just to buy a 400gb one - specially at those prices.
At the time I could only afford a second 128gb card so I went that route.
I'll use whatever-capacity cards I have available/can afford as much as I can.
Plus what I'm proposing as an alternative (microSD card holder) doesn't cost more than £7.
Yeah it takes some housekeeping/organization I but I think it's a viable alternative.
Anyways, at the rate Switch titles get released, this time next year -for some people- the 400gb won't be enough. What happens then?
Scrap the 400gb one to buy a bigger one (1TB?) or buy/start using an additional 400gb card?
There's no right/wrong here, just a matter of approach, economics, etc.
It's no bigger than a credit card (so it can be easily carried around) and holds up to 8 microSD cards.
Conveniently, the slots are already numbered so there's no need for additional labeling really.
Then, you can use this android app to keep track of what's on each card:
I just wanted to clarify a couple of points wrongly raised in the review as issues:
1. To enable gyroscopic aiming, your ship doesn't have to stand still. You just have to rotate it to be level with the horizon. (using the right stick)
2. When gyroscopic aiming is enabled, you can still "fly"/move your ship with the left stick. Movement is in no way limited (only the right stick is disabled as you are aiming using the gyros) and you certainly don't have to disable gyroscopic aiming every time you want to move though space.
3. I'm not sure what the "draw distance is quite low" comment means. All the 3D objects (target boxes and in some levels background objects) in the level are constantly visible. The draw distance is more that enough to show everything, at all times.
4. To wrap to/restart a level, you first have to select it using the right D-PAD direction (which cycles through levels unlocked), and then hit "B" to execute.
Other than points (2) and (3), I suppose the other "issues" could be due the game's inability to communicate their functionality properly to the player.

If all this will benefit the consumer in the end, then by all means go ahead.

Maybe it's dynamic res or 900p?
We'll see next week I guess.

Finally some info. Someone with a twitter account please ask them if they plan to support gamecube controllers for analog gas/pedal.

Not true - labeling/storing can be easily achieved using one of these:

@ULTRA-64 Thanks mate.
This is -hopefully- only the beginning.

Hi,
I'm Yiannos, the developer of Perpetual Blast.
First of all thanks for the review.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Year of Giving
Nice article and I'm thankful Nintendo decided to compensate the early adopters.
My only complain is the irritating limitation of some 3DS channels to work in my region.
It shouldn't matter in 2011 for god's sake.
