A short but shocking (in every way) great visual novel. Played it on Steam a few years ago and highly recommend it. If you are planning on try out a visual novel anytime soon, this is the one to choose.
It really is a shocking game, I swear and you are warned!
Nintendo desperately needs to put GB, GBA and N64 games on Switch online service. Why? Because these are among the most pirated/emulated console so they could at least use these old titles to sell more subscriptions to NSO. Does this sounds reasonable enough, Nintendo?
I love Zelda II and played it a lot as a kid, it was my first Zelda game. Is it an hardcore game? Yes, but at that time many (if not all) NES games were very difficult to play and finish, games such as G&G, Simon's Quest, Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden.
However, Zelda II was one of the best adventure games at the time, featuring a gigantic world map full of secrets, mysteries and dungeons. There is a great sense of adventure, exploration and progression in this game, It has a more darker, mystical feelings to it then other entries in the series. You are given very few informations on how to continue your journey or how to find items and so you often lose yourself in this vast world populated by terrible foes. This is exactly the magic of which this game is filled.
If approached in the wrong way sure, it can be a nightmare, but it's just because it needs time to be understood. Items Link find in the Palaces are essential to progress (eg. the Candle to lights up the caverns, the Hammer to smash rocks), and so are the magics he learns from sages in the villages that are much needed to overcome enemies and the terrifying bosses. Although it is important to level-up (strength, life and magic) and find the heart/magic containers, it's equally important to deeply learn the combat system which was absolutely a blast at its time.
It is a good and rightful Zelda game, needs to be viewed from a different perspective then the other games in the series and to be approached differently.
@Al_Godoy yeah, the PS5 show was absolutely awesome. Too many great games will release for the console in 2020/2021. Horizon Zero Down 2 and Resident Evil 8 look amazing, but also Gran Turismo 7, the new Rachet and Clank, new LittleBig Planet, new Destruction Derby and many others.
My "low-expectation" prediction for the rest of 2020:
July - A WiiU game port
August - Shin Megami Tensei V
September - A new NSO multiplayer original game
September - GB/GBA games for NSO
October - Bayonetta 3
November - Metroid Prime Trilogy
December - Super Mario All-Stars 2 (Mario 3D remasters)
Downloaded the game a while ago and currently playing it. It's simply one of the best card game out there, only second to Magic in my opinion! Gameplay is very different from Magic, with a very strategic declination, it's fast to play and illustrations are wonderful.
There is no pay-to-win here, just play the solo campaign, collect cards and build your desired decks, then challenge online opponents or friends
It's just a PC gaming box for playing PC games, it isn't a console anymore even in the form factor and it will not have any exclusive games as stated before by Microsoft. Meh, this is the route they choose from now on. Rip Xbox.
There is absolutely no need to remake Super Metroid, as is It's one of the best games of all time, remaking it in 3d like Samus Returns will not make it a better game.
I'd rather to see a "new" 2d Metroid (Metroid 5) with a beautiful pixel art!
@sanderev Sometimes, in my experience, the eShop is not always so responsive to controller inputs, especially when the connection speed is not optimal and I find myself a bit distant from a router.
@BarefootBowser Sure, I like the minimalist look and feel of the OS, it's simple and fast and overall I like it. But I think a simple folder system would be a good addition. Also, themes are there, they just need to add some extra ones. Player activity currently is only partially shown to the user and I would like to see all my games playtimes, not just the last 20 played games.
Lazy OS updates as always from Nintendo.. I can't understand what it takes to add the so much requested new features to the system such as folders, some extra themes, a better view on user game activities, an updated eShop (current one is too slow)...
I have fun with it. Graphics are good and it runs smoothly. Microtransactions and subcription are unnecessary to play the game so you can absolutely ignore it, while control work if you just try to get used to it.
Races are fast and short, but Overall I enjoy the game!
Absolutely a must-have Zelda game, one of my favorite games of all time!
I see a trend here with Nintendo remaking games from the old gameboy era: we already have Metroid: Samus Returns on 3DS and now Link's Awakening on Switch.
So please, Nintendo, give us remakes of Super Mario Land 2 and Kid Icarus: Myth and Monsters! I would buy five copies each!
I'm particularly interested in Zelda: Link's Awakening, Ori and the Blind Forest and Doom Eternal... Why Doom64 and no announcement for the newst one? When the Switch edition of Doom Eternal will be available?
I think the Lite will have gyro and a basic rumble for compatibility sake. This model is intended for only playing portable single player / multiplayer online games on the go, for all the rest we already have the standard (superior) Switch!
I suppose Nintendo will surely release a Switch Mini and a Pro model. I can expect the Mini to be released this November along with the new Pokemon games, while the Pro will launch next year to have a better Switch on the market at the time PS5 comes out.
I think the Mini will cost no more than 199$, it will obviously be cheaper because several components are removed as the Joy-cons are fused with the console: so, 1x ir-camera, the 2x motion sensors and the 2x HD-rumble (so a single motion sensor and an HD-rumble embedded with the main console body). All games will be compatible with this model, except when playing in tabletop and docked modes that will require additional Joy-cons or a Gamepad pro.
IMO the Pro model will only have a better hardware (with more ram, higher CPU frequencies and a revised Tegra X1 or X2) for boosting games performance towards 60fps and 1080p res, and a better screen of course! It could also include a 4g/5g module to play online on the go, bluetooth voice chat directly on the console and a smoother eShop experience.
I loved the first Earthworm Jim. However, they say the console will launch with 20 exclusive games and Earthworm Jim is only one of them. Also in the trailer they say all games released for the console will be exclusives!
I need to wait and see before making an opinion on this new console.
2017 was greatness with the release of Mario Odyssey and Zelda BOTW, followed by third parties like Sonic Mania, Skyrim and Doom.
2018 was a "good" year in the end, thanks to Smash Bros. and Pokemon Let's Go. From third parties we also got a lot of GREAT games like Crash Bandicoot 'Nsane Trilogy, Octopath Traveler, Valkyria Chronicles 4, DragonBall FighterZ, Wolfenstein II, Diablo 3 and Dark Souls. We could say a decent year for Nintendo first party games but also a fantastic year thanks to third party support! Can't forget all the beautiful indie gems like Hollow Knight, Celeste, Hyperlight Drifter and Monster Boy!
2019 will be another fantastic year in my opinion! We will see the release of highly anticipated games like Fire Emblem, a New Pokemon game ad a new Animal Crossing from Nintendo, while from third parties Doom Eternal, Mortal Kombat 11, Crash Team Racing for sure and hopefully Persona 5. Unfortunately I feel Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 will probably be delayed to 2020

I would pay even $100 for this game, after 19 years of waiting
Re: Nintendo Reassures Us That Bayonetta 3 "Still Exists" Despite E3 No-Show
I have this feeling it could be announced in a early september Direct along with the rumored Switch Pro! Both releasing on shelves by the end of 2021!
PS. My Switch is officially broken after more than 4 years of honorated service.. I NEED a new one, so it's better for Switch Pro to be real

For example, add a dynamic theme mode that changes UI colors based on the Joycons connected.. Wouldn't it be cool?

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #13 - Goemon's Great Adventure
Loved the first two Goemon's games on the SNES, I played them as a kid back in 1992 on my shiny Super Famicom
I think the second game never left Japan, but it was a very very fun game in two-players mode, one of the best games on SNES.
