Mh game making formula needs an update, they should take the freedoms created by Skyrim and add it to Mh games, imagine creating your own house with a rathalos head, that you hunted, on a wall or opening your own shop selling items you get from hunting, or the game allowing you to learn smithing and armor crafting which would allow you to make better gear than the game npc can make for you and so on, hell at least make it to where every so often you have to fight off monsters trying to get in to the city and so on.
This is why people watch switch up, switch planet, switch watch, beatemups and rgt85, people would be very stupid to blindly go and buy any game in any console without watching a gameplay review or a stream play of it. Until nintendo put back user reviews, watching these gaming reviews and update channels are the best thing to do, and I learned that the moment I bought the switch 3 years a go. Specially when those channels go back and retry ***** games to see if they have been updated to be worth considering.

@sanderev the people that want cross play for this type of game are the bigger consoles, the majority of the players on switch want cross play for Co op games.
I don't know how it works when it comes to programming, but I do know that what ever engine was used on the 3ds is not the same as the switch, while the animations might look the same it still takes work to either convert that animation on to their switch engine or remake it via their switch engine and then test it to make sure theres no bugs, which in the end is true what was said, too much work for 1k pokemon.
