Tim, I think that people lost interest in Sonic because Sega lost the war, much like Sony and Microsoft will lose this one. Nintendo is King. Always have been, always will be. Personally, I can't say that I've played many Sonic games. I've always thought that they were a sped-up Mario clone. However, the classic series of Sonic games (before 3-D) had incredible soundtracks.

The Legend of Zelda for the NES is the best game ever made! I would buy it 10 more times, if it allowed me. But I don't think I can agree with you here, Damo, Super Mario 3 is amazing...

And to be honest, I don't think any other Wii game is worth buying (not VIrtual Console games), unless it's made by Nintendo. Nintendo is about quality... I mean, think about it... there's a reason that they are the Console Champions right now. And they are the only console with a history at all. Mario, Zelda, Metroid... these have become household names. Mario is more famous than Mickey Mouse! Here's my Wii Games right now (most of them are Nintendo):

ICEknight, I understand what you're saying, and I agree that this is the place to voice your opinions, but what I don't understand is that people are attacking Damo because he asked if we were all "crybabies"... which was a joke, of course... and people are blowing everything way out of proportion. This whole thing has become ridiculous. And know, ICEknight, that I truly meant no offense by what I said, nor do I mean to offend by what I'm saying now.

You guys are nuts. If you aren't happy with what's been said, then leave, and cry about it. It's not a big deal. We are all spoiled... Nintendo didn't have to release anything at all and they aren't obligated to give us anything. Consider it a gift.

I can't believe how ridiculous this has become. It's not a big deal... buy the used cartridges, go on ebay, even amazon has some used classics... use emulators and roms... if not, then hold out and wait.

I always felt the same way when people were complaining about the games. I'm actually glad that you wrote this. It's very true. The only game that I was really disappointed with was Operation Wolf being release without Zapper support. Oh well...

And you see, that's the beauty of Nintendo... it has a history, a real history, and hundreds of games under it's belt. Once again, another reason that it will always out beat XBOX and Playstation. Cheers, Nintendo!

Herandar, like I said, "from everything I've been viewing from [XBOX and PS3], I don't see any reason to [buy from them]". I don't see the point of spending that much money for paper weights.

That Guy from Faxanadu, you see - there are two type of game fans. You have people like me, who is behind a certain console (Nintendo), always have been - always will be. I never will buy an XBOX or a PS3 for that reason, and from everything I've been viewing from them, I don't see any reason to. But then there are people like you, which I know many, that are not behind any particular system (which, of course, is fine). I was just trying to give an explanation for why people think of this whole thing the way that they do.

I have to say... THANK YOU, VC-REVIEWS! You guys are awesome with these updates. I must check this site 15 times a day, literally, and it's great to see frequent updates.

First off, Kelvin, Settlers of Catan is amazing... and way under-rated. A lot of people have never heard of it. I think I'm going to play it when I get off work. Haha.

I've got to say that anything that Nintendo does, I'm happy about. They've only let me down once since I've known of them (which was when I was 4 and the NES was only release for a few years), and the only time I was let down was when they release Operation Wolf for the Virtual Console without the Zapper support... it's a shame.

As for this whole console war, my glass will be held high for Nintendo!

Drew, I know it's not a script, but there is a synopsis in the Operations Guide. I suggest giving it a read because it give you a bit of insight on the story, and descriptions of items and such. It helped me a great deal.

I could always use another Zelda game.

Yeah Jonno, Tetris was invented by Alexey Pajitnov. He used the game to test his computer at the time, and Nintendo tried to get the rights to it, but the KGB was trying to get the money from it. It's at the end of the documentary, but you should watch the whole thing... it's amazing. Interviews with Shigeru Miyamoto and everything. I get a little teary everytime I watch it.

Rossi... this game is a must buy. When you get it in your area, pick it up. I promise, you'll love it. The original is really good too (Milon's Secret Castle for the NES). I mean, this game has a perfect 5 star rating. It's amazing.

I hope they release the NES version too... on second thought, I hope that they port all of the Gameboy games over to the Virtual Console... that would be awesome. So many great games. Nintendo is sitting on a cash cow, man. It would be foolish for them not to port over the Gameboy classics.

I know what you mean Will. but DoReMi Fantasy is really good. Try it out. I'm waiting for Nintendo games too. I'm probably not as old as you (I'm 21), but I got the NES for my 4th Christmas, and it changed my life... haha that's funny saying that my life was changed when I was 4.

I wonder if Nintendo will ever port Gameboy games over to the Virtual Console. I would love to play Super Mario Land, Tetris, and Link's Awakening on a television with the Wiimote.

Viral, buy it - try it, and let us know why these types of games don't make it outside of Japan. This game is great.

By the way, this game is completely in Japanese. It's kind of funny too because you don't really have any idea what the story is. But you can read the Operations Guide and it will help out a lot. Everybody has to get this game... it's brilliant.

Bensei, I've bought DoReMi Fantasy, and yes that one is Japanese... but the game is great. I love platformers. It's well worth the price. I don't know about the other game, but I would assume that it's in Japanese as well.

I just bought it today, and played it for the first time. I love it so far, haha, even though I can't really figure it out. It just has a classic feel to it. And how can you go wrong with a game about the fight between good and evil... awesome.

Oh yamiiguy. But, you see, VC doesn't always let us know before-hand. We sometimes only find out on Mondays. I don't know. I love it when we know before it though. Also, why do people put a "@" before a person's name. Doesn't that symbol mean "at"?
