@Retromemories Haha that’s actually one thing I hear quite often about how the story falters after that point, but I had some fun finding my party.
As for IV, i’ll be right there with you. I shamefully haven’t played IV since I played it on my GBA years ago, but i’ve been meaning to get the PSP version for my Vita since I plan on playing through all of the FF’s. (Or At least the ones I haven’t played yet)
@Retromemories I don’t hate VI or anything, and as you said, the characters are what really entertained me; Sabin and Setzer being my two favorites. I even named (Spoiler ahead) Red XIII after Sabin in my VII playthrough, and I never rename characters. It just didn’t click with me like I hoped it would, after hearing so much praise for it.
That being said, I do love the whole “World of Ruin” concept. That part was pretty great.
And another thing, props to you for representing FFIV with that avatar. IV was one I enjoyed from start to finish.
@Mortenb What I really love about this game, is how the music fits so well with your surroundings, or with what’s going on at that moment. The theme from Cosmo Canyon has that tribalistic sound to it, which just encapsulates the overall feeling of that place in awesome way. Heck, I could even listen to the theme for Wutai all day. When it comes to the ost, FFVII is definitely up there as one of my favorites regarding FF games. Followed by 8, 10, and 13
@Savino I’d argue VI is overhyped. Very much so, actually. It only got interesting during the later half, and I thought the pacing was pretty poor. It’s all opinions anyway though, man.
@JLPick “Sony had this since the PS3 era with those TV episode broadcasts that you could download” Oh wow, you’re completely right. I forgot about those.
The moment I read this comment I immediately remembered the episode I watched for the first InFamous game. Those were pretty fun.
@Meloman I agree completely with what @Retromemories said. While I absolutely loved VII, I have to admit that it gets hyped up a lot, which may lead to very high expectations. Speaking from experience. I went into FF 6 thinking it would be some mind blowing experience, thanks to almost every FF fan on the internet, only to be met with a game that bored me out of my mind.
Anyway, I hope you, and everyone here playing it for the first time enjoy it as much as I did. Currently playing through VIII at the moment.
I haven’t spent a dime on the game, but I like it a lot. A bit repetitive, but the characters, stories, and interactions are absolutely charming. I’m glad it’s doing well.
I keep forgetting this is a thing. The last thing I heard about it, was that it was now being used in Schools or something? Which is a pretty cool idea I suppose.
@shonenjump86 As a fan of fighting games, I wholeheartedly agree. Smash is just a lot more fun with items and stage hazards on, in my opinion. I can’t get into the competitive side at all, despite trying multiple times. Still, no slight against the people who do decide to play with all that stuff turned off, though. I’m glad people have the option to play how they choose.
Won’t make a difference to me either way. Currently playing through the trilogy for the first time on the Wii U. Loved the first one but man, Echoes is feeling like a chore to get through.
Kid Icarus: Uprising was the very first 3DS game that had me completely hooked, when I first bought the system. A sequel, or even a port for the switch with better be controls would just be amazing.
Never played SamSho, but I wouldn’t mind trying the new one. The art style is leagues above the new KOF, so that’s already a plus in my book. I really just want a new Mark of The Wolves, though.

Kain and Golbez are just so cool to me.

Re: Away: Journey To The Unexpected Brings Its "Feel-Good" Adventure To Switch On 7th February
@Prizm Not sure, but I wouldn’t recommend trying it.
Re: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Speeds Onto The Switch In June Next Year
This got me so hype. CTR has always been my favorite kart racing game, hands down. Had the best single player for any game of this kind.

Re: Capcom Is Working On A Mystery Game That Will Surprise Fans
@nintendobynature Lol Nice username.
And I personally think it’s Onimusha. I’d like it to be a Capcom vs SNK 3 but, that’s not happening.
