For all the guys saying "Games aren’t worth that much" you need to realise that this a FACTORY SEALED copy of EARTHBOUND. Whoever bought it obviously won't tear it open and play it when they get home (They probably already have a copy).
Who knows, perhaps he's planning on keeping it in his family for years and years and then selling it to a museums as an ancient artefact of less civilized time.
No, River City Ransom is the best game ever, becuase I like it.
Seriously guys, if your going to praise a game calling it the best game ever, at least back up your argument a little more than "fully orchestrated music on the Star Fox stage."
Also, try and not say "the greatest", but rather "my favorite". Trust me, it'll prevent flame wars.
Damn straight. PAL regions have had to cope with higher prices for years, even to the present day. However, looking back PAL issues at the time, prices should've been the least of our concern....
@ 33. Stuffgamer1: That's not what he's saying. He's saying the market GTA is aiming at are the kind of people who don't see any problems with stealing (or as they call it "getting free") games, becuase they can.
A group of kids at my school (GTA fans, of course) constanly make fun of me for not pirating games. I'm not even going to bother explainign them that their killing the game indistry, but I guess they're only killing games that they like, so it's their loss.
What was that thing Cammie liked to say agian? Evergreen?
Yeah... that was how he would describe New Super Mario Bros. I think the same thing applies here, it will continue to sell at a consitant pace over time.
Me neither. The only reason I found out it was yesterday was becuase it was mentioned in the reveiw for Bubble Bobble Plus. which seems is much more worth getting.
"They should make commercials for VC games. They could use the slogan: Now Your Playing With Power: Old School Power! I can almost guarantee downloads will increase."
Not like it'll ever happen. However, I once mentioned somewhere on the interent that the slogon should be "Now your playing with power, AGAIN!"
The Official Nintendo Mag was a little stricter though, giving it around 40%, which shows that even though they advertise the crap out of it, Nintendo themselfs don't like it.
@Don: Being the grind-a-thon that it is, Mother 1 isn't likely too sell much. So it Nintendo might see it's poor sales and consider changing the music even less.
"Big A2-san, I find odd that you complain about immature comments but use swear words in yours..."
I don't recall swearing too much in my post. Ah well, when I said immature, I meant people who where going like...
'HELLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't belive this, I was looking forward to trying out this great looking RPG and now the freaking music may keep it from ever being released, That is BULLSH%T, I hate this. Oh well maybe the God of Video Games will give us Earthbound one day, that is Nintendo th God of Video Games.'
If the songs are the case, then all 3 Animal Crossing games should have been banned. The songs in those games almost sound exactly like songs in the real world, heck, even Rockin' K.K. has the "Go, Johnny, Go, Go" part.
Grrr... why doesn't this support Wii Component Cable Interlace Made? This is one of Nintendo biggest first party games of the early NES era! They fixed bloody DK Jr Math, but not this?
@King Elemento: Apparently, the emulation on the VC is super strict or something. PC emulates can emulate them easy, but then again, most PC emulators crash all the time. The VC doesn't.
And how do you guys know that you won't get something special for Christmas. Just wait and see.
@Kaptain Konami: I guess so, but we're expecting too much each week. Everyone here's always saying "Oh yeah we're gonna get CVIII this week' or "This game has been ESRB rated, so we're going to get it this week".
We all know Nintendo is spacing out their releases, so just enjoy what's already there and uh.... coughemulatecough... the rest.
@ Hero10x: Calm down, you can't set your expectation too high. PSIV is a good game. You might get CVIII next week, just like we might get Mario Golf next fortnight,
@Captain Konami: Yeah, I guess so, but some times we get one game a fornight, so I guess that would be half a game a week or something.
@Dazza: Last year they moved the usual Friday update to Tuesday (Christmas Day), so there's really no "rule", but I have no idea what KeeperBvK is trying to say. I don't think we'll get these on Wednesday.
When people learn to look up games before they buy them. aka: NEVER.
I think giving this game 2/10 is being generous. If something is so bad that it needs to be "avoided at all costs", then it sould be 1/10, and nothing more.

Re: Contra ReBirth Announced, Approaching
If this game doesn't have the code they'll be riots in the streets.
Re: Retro Game Challenge Sequel Localization Looking Dire
I wish I could spreed the word about this game and buy copies for all my firends, but I live in Australia, so I can't.
However, bringing the Game Centre CX show over to America would certianly increase sales.

Re: Fan-made Mother 3 Guide is All Kinds of Awesome
Gosh, you guys are slow. This news has been around since October of last year, and the book was released last month.
Re: Video Game Plush to Cuddle
D'AWWW, They're so cute!
To bad I'll never, ever own one.

Re: Sexy Poker Headed to WiiWare
I had a look at the site and it looks like it got a "Freigegeben ab 16 Jahren gemäß § 14 JuSchG" (Restricted for those below the age of 16).
Re: Final Fantasy IV: The After Years Official Website Goes Live
Gosh, sometimes it seems that each game in the series gets a series of it's own. Ah well, typical Square.
Re: No Madden NFL On DS This Year
Good. Who needs more Madden games anyway?

Re: Review: Retro Game Challenge (DS)
This needs a European/Australian release. The only thing is, I fear it won't do well in the Australian market.
Re: Review: Kirby Super Star Ultra (DS)
Yup. This game was released awhile ago.
And don't you dare tell me this game is too easy Kittsy. I find The Arena almost impossible.

Re: Review: Pokemon Platinum (DS)
I'm so darn tempted to buy this. The reason I'm holding back is because Nintendo sold me a half-finished game called Pokemon Diamond a few years back.
Re: Review: Pokemon Battle Revolution (Wii)
"I dunno, all the massive Pokefans I know love this game."
All the massive Pokefans are idiots.

Me neither. The only reason I found out it was yesterday was becuase it was mentioned in the reveiw for Bubble Bobble Plus. which seems is much more worth getting.
Re: Review: Excitebike (NES)
Yet another classic game that doesn't support componet cables...
Re: Review: Game & Watch Collection (DS)
Well, you can't really critisice the price, since you're basicly getting it for free.
Re: Talking Point: Copyright and Video Games
"anybody read th full article"
Yes... that's the point, no?

Re: Review: Mega Man 3 (NES)
9.36/10 for me. Mainly becuase PAL issues are not as much of a probelm as the previous two.
Re: Review: Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir (DS)
Boy does this looks awful.
The Official Nintendo Mag was a little stricter though, giving it around 40%, which shows that even though they advertise the crap out of it, Nintendo themselfs don't like it.
Re: Japan to get the Classic Controller Pro
Probably not. Also, it's not the right place to ask a question like that. Try our forums.
Re: Review: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (SNES)
This game is fantasic, but I was kinda disapointed with it's length, or maybe that's just because I normally expect RPGs to be around 30+ hours long.
Re: Review: Mega Man 2 (NES)
I'd give it a 10, and the PAL verison a 9 becuase of the music that's slower than it should be even with PAL slowdown.
And the ladders. Especially the ladders.
Re: Review: Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
Really? To me, not loving Super Mario Bros 3 is not loving life.
Re: Take Five and Double It!
Sounds good. I love it when sites get more organised.

And that's Big A2-kun to you.
Re: Rumour: EarthBound Not Coming to Virtual Console
Jesus Christ. Some of these comments are rediculosly immature. Stop damning things to hell for once.
I'm going back to Starmen.net.

Re: EU VC Update: ClayFighter and Sonic Chaos
Well, at least we got Chrono Trigger on DS this week.
Re: OFLC Update: Two More Imports
Interesting how you mention these games are heading for "Europe" considering the OFLC is an Australian office.
And yes, we have gotten games at different times than Europe in the past.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Re: EU VC Update: Secret of Mana and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Master System)
Hey... I've got that EB Games gift card...
Wii points, here I come!!
Re: EU VC Update: Secret of Mana and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Master System)
@Andyman64: Possibly never.

Stop whining guys. We're lucky to even have a Virtual Console. And if we didn't have one, you wouldn't be complaining so much.

Re: Mana From Heaven For RPG Fans On Boxing Day In Europe
So wait, do we get a Christmas update as well, or just the usualy Friday (Boxing Day) update?
Oh, and Captain Konami, we get VC updates every fortnignt. So a "one-game-per-fortnight status" would be a better way to put it.

Re: EU WiiWare Update: World Of Goo And Lots More!
@RGVEDA: It would also take a fair bit more time to get the video together edit it, etc.
I'm fine with writen reviews.
Re: EU WiiWare Update: World Of Goo And Lots More!
I think I'll wait untill next week's VC releases before I download WoG. You never know what Nintendo could have planned for Christmas.
Re: Club Nintendo Comes To North America
@Neo Yor: I doubt it will let you register products bought outside of the US and Canada.
Re: Club Nintendo Comes To North America
"totally worthless"
Yeah, you're getting Nintendo merchandise for free. Completely worthless.
