Re: WiiWare Demo Program Proving Successful

Atlantis1982

I do hope they carry on with these demos, and try to ask other developers to add in their share. If it was not for these demo's, I would be passing off of the Bit Trip series.

Granted, I only have Beat, but if I want to get more then no doubt I will get the other two.

I am still skeptical about Rumble, I know I will enjoy the game, but the 1500 price point is still a bit much considering I am waiting for a few more WiiWare games to come out as well.

NyxQuest was another game I would had passed off if it was not for the demo service. Right now preoccupied with New Super Mario Bros Wii, but when the time I want another platformer comes around then no doubt I will grab this hidden gem.

SMK = No thanks (Got MKDS)
Pilotwings = No thanks (Got the 64 sequel)
SSB = No thanks (Got SSBB, and I am still burned out)

In short, nothing for me, but please release Castlevania Rebirth, k thx.

Even then, this can be taken with a grain of salt; why on Earth of all publications that NoA chose they picked Gamespot.

This may be late, and not really about this specific entry, but I am almost convincing myself to get BEAT just from the demo. If I start enjoying that one, I might consider getting the others one or just skip to this new one.

Re: WiiWare Demo Service Now Available Worldwide!

Atlantis1982

If I want to try Wii demos, I'll gladly pay for a rental. WiiWare on the other hand, "YES PLEASE, OKAY THANK YOU."

I'll download all demos but one: World of Goo (already have the demo on Steam).

Now, this is my opinion with the Shopping Channel, that I noticed some are talking about it, is that I think they need to scrap the channel altogether and combine it with the Nintendo Channel.

As for the VC, how about Nintendo go with the idea that SSBB did with their "demos".

I just thought of this: I wonder if these WiiWare demos are going to skewer the top 20 WiiWare releases. XD

Re: Electronic Arts Less Than Happy With Wii Sales

Atlantis1982

I think the only problem with DS: E is the fact that no "hardcore" gamer is willing to spend 50.00 for a very short ON-RAIL SHOOTER. I felt the same way with House of the Dead: Overkill; the fact it was real short (and too much cussing) made that 50.00 price tag way too rich for my taste. At best, it was worth the rental.

That is what I think was the problem with DS:E, or that people rather get RE: DSC.
