@jhewitt3476 Well, it's not like making a game is that simple. Most AAA games will take over 3 years to make these days, from initial concept to market release.
I'm with @DeltaPeng. X8 was actually a pretty fun game with some really memorable moments, and it brought in some neat new systems (like choosing an operator at the beginning of a stage, the minigames you could use to farm items and the R&D shop). And I liked how the final stage and final boss fights all came together.
Not the best X game at all, but certainly better than X6 and X7, and I'd even say better than X3 and X4 in my honest opinion.
I'm heavily biased here because the guys at Game Swing are close friends of mine (and all of NapNok Games for that matter), but I cannot recommend Stikbold enough, especially if you are looking for a fun game to play against friends in local multiplayer.
@BLPs: "I can offer a sample size of a good 100 people right now, all from my course of game designers"
Honestly, a sample of only game design students in your class is a really, really bad example to give. If we're going to go that way, I will pick a sample of game students from University of East London that have both Wii U and 3DS. (Mind you, I live in Denmark, working at KnapNok Games, but I know plenty of people from UEL).
In any case, while I understand your pessimism, I don't think it's going to get so bad that Nintendo would ever consider pulling out of the UK market. Whenever there is a new videogame on Nintendo platforms you can easily see those games quickly getting to and retaining spots in the top 10 sales for that month. Nintendo is still a HUGE cultural icon and the UK is easily one of the key markets for them.
@Artwark @stinky_t Actually I have been using Windows Phone since it first came out (well, rebooted) in 2010. I have Android and iOS devices all around me at our KnapNok Games office, but I'm still sticking to Windows Phone. In fact, I'm getting the Lumia 950 in a couple of weeks. Why Windows Phone? Well... because I like the way it works and its aesthetics over anything Android or iPhone can offer me. That, and the camera. You can hardly ever go wrong with the camera of a Lumia phone
Hey there, Anchel from KnapNok Games here. It's great to hear all your positive comments:) And thanks to Damian for posting this video! We look forward to announcing more stuff soon.
Seems like I'm one of the few (maybe even alone?) who prefer DKC3 over any of the other titles in the series.
I found the level design of this game way more entertaining, the characters more charming, the environments more colorful and detailed, and the overworld fun to explore with its mysteries and the bears giving you items.
The music seems to get lower scores for most people, but I for one loved themes like the one for the bonus levels, the underwater theme, the tree levels... I found it cheerful or moody at the right times.
The Swapper. Absolutely.
It's an amazing game and one I've seen it's development process since I met the developer Olli Harjola. He was 18 years old at the time, showed me the early art-style tests at Nordic Game Jam. Great guy too! =) We made a (shitty) game together in 48 hours
So it's great to see his game getting the recognition it deserves and expanding on more platforms
@Nintenjoe64 I would totally jump back on Donkey Kong 64 if it arrived on the VC as well =D
But... we kinda need to have N64 VC support on the Wii U to begin with. And to be honest, I've kinda given up on that ever arriving on Wii U. I mean, we've had GBA and DS games support announced ever since, and they have arrived before the N64 games which were announced waaaay back!

Re: SteamWorld Heist and Affordable Space Adventures Secure Multiple Nominations for Nordic Game Awards
Kinda funny that, being part of the team that made Affordable Space Adventures, I learned about the nominations here on Nintendo Life first
On behalf of all of KnapNok Games, thank you all so much for your support!
Re: Feature: Assessing Affordable Space Adventures and Its Ongoing Journey
@MacMan Woah, 3 1/2? That's got to be the youngest player I've ever seen for Affordable Space Adventures! What was the experience like?

I actually have the GameBoy from that video right here with me and I'm waiting for the developer of Progress, Tim Garbos, to claim it back
