@Goat_FromBOTW Your comment wasn't directed at me, but I will tell you why I for example don't want to have a TV. The short version is: I'm not watching TV.
...Yeah, I can assume what you're thinking now, but hear me out. The long version is: Many European countries have a monthly tax on TVs. For more details you can read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_licence In my country and state it currently would be 33,66€ per month, just because I would own a TV. I couldn't use it to watch TV, because I would still need to subscribe to a service provider and pay them too... But the point is, I would need to pay 33,66€ per month just for physically owning a TV, because "I COULD" watch TV. They do sometimes send people to check if I really don't own a TV. They're also cooperating with other companies that sometimes require access to my apartment. For example the company that provides electricity and gas. Or the company that provides warm water and district heating. I can't refuse to let them in, because of how stupid district heating works. I have never used a heater in my life because I actually feel quite comfortable when it has down to -10′C in winter, but oh well... I also need to let the electricity/gas company inside because both of their meters are inside my apartment and they also check my stove from time to time for safety reasons, because it runs on gas.
Which means, if I would own a TV the broadcasting tax company would learn that rather quickly. But here's the thing... Different to eg Germany, my country isn't collecting this tax as long you don't own a TV. So, not owning a TV saves me 33,66€ per month. Simply as that. Which means I would go for PC screens instead of TVs. And... Good luck finding a decent 4K/HDR PC screen for a reasonable price...
@Kalmaro The thing is... The GameCube games havn't been from GameFreak. They have been from Genius Sonority. Wish they would do another game... I loved XD so much... VIRTUAL CONSOLE, WHEN??

@Agriculture Yes, I AM a bad person because I keep trying to communicate.with these so called "social beings" that seem to only care about themselves these day... Of course. Who else, if not me? As if it would be my fault that you apparently only care about yourself but also have nothing to say... Hmm...
@Anti-Matter That's totally fine. Stay yourself. It's your opinion, your taste, your decision. Don't let anyone ruin them. Just because everyone(TM) is hyping about eg Cyberpunk doesn't mean that you need to be interested in that too. It's good to see sometimes people that have their own interests. There's absolutely nothing wrong about it, because even though humans try to norm each other, by nature we're individuals and not machines... So, don't worry. And, really, some people even attacked me for not being interested in Cyberpunk at all. Should that convince me to play the game, or what?
In the end we're all gamers and just want to have a nice time (I guess?). Play what YOU want. In this regard other people and their opinions don't matter. It also doesn't matter what color our plastic box is.
@Anti-Matter Hello Sir. Yes, I'm new here. There is nothing wrong with playing "kids games". Nearly always doing that myself, because they're in my opinion more enjoyable. Every time when I try an "adult game" I'm shocked how violent and sexual they're. Like, a friend gifted me FarCry New Dawn. Ubisoft Club said that I killed over 1000 HUMANS. In a game that's short like that... Or take GTA5. It came with my PS3. I have played all of them, including the GBA and PSP titles, but, well, lets just say that GTA5 was my last GTA... Or, have you played Dragon Age? When you hit a RAT with your FIST you're covered in blood from head to toes. And none of the characters care. Uhm... And why can you do "adult acitivites" with all your friends? Do people really ask for this feature? In the second game the game made me kill so many people at night, I feel like I removed the entire city at least three times... Really. Why is in the west everything so violent and sexual? And why are in the west "trash mobs" always humans? Is a human life really worth nothing in the west? So... I'm with "kids games" and Japan. That's way more comfortable and enjoyable for me. They often have better character designs, better written characters, better stories and music anyway.
But thank you for your opinion. And for replying peacefully. That was all I asked. I don't know why cancel-culture is so intense these days that many people even attack you when you ask them what their opinion is... Though, from the games you mentioned... Overcooked and Overcooked 2 are on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows. (All You Can Eat is a compilation.) Planet Coaster is on Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, macOS. Spirit of the North is on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Windows. Override 2 is on Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
I don't see why you need a PS5 for these. I'm not an "anti PS5 zealot and freak without life" just because PS5 has no games. It isn't about console wars, and fanboyism, it's about games. And the PS5 has none. That isn't really my fault. At first I wanted to wait until 2025 before getting a PS5. But PlayStation America is currently on a war with their own mother company and Japan. And because these are the games I'm mostly interested in, well, I don't see a reason for me anymore to wait on a PS5 and went with Nintendo. Simple as that. I go where the games are. I don't care what brand is on the console. So, I feel kinda misunderstood by the other people here... And if I have time for other games besides Japan and "kids games", well, the XBox Series S is only 300€ and I don't have a 4K screen, so it's good enough.
@Agriculture I really don't understand how people can be so rude and narcissistic when someone says more than two sentences. Feels like: "Another person than me is talking? Pah! Nobody ain't got time for that!". But... It's okay. Good luck with that attitude in your life.
Found a site with hundreds of modded Pokemon roms. I feel like testing some of them... Aside from that, still playing Sora no Kiseki.
@iaLgan Which one? I think you can never go wrong with the 2D Zeldas. A Link to the Past. Links Awakening, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, Minish Cap... Breath of the Wild doesn't really feel like a Zelda to me. Hyrule Warriors and Age of Calamity are Musou. I like that genre, but I'm sceptical if it really works with Zelda. Well, only one way to find out...
@Agriculture I apologize for that. I'm aware I have a... strange way with words and that I can't keep myself short.
Well, sometimes we need to sacrifice things. If every platform had everything, people would just go by raw power. That wouldn't only be kinda boring, but also leads to stagnation. Look at Intel and AMD for example. For years AMD was unable to compete and basically Intel sold for yeaaars more or less the same processors, with only very slight changes. Until AMD brought the Ryzen you still have been fine with an i7-2600K. And suddenly Intel is so far behind, they even have problems with going smaller. And since Ryzen Intel suddenly put more cores into their CPUs. Imagine we would still have quadcores in 2021... (And yet PC gamers blamed consoles for the stagnation. ). Apple was so annoyed by Intel that they even started doing CPUs by themselves.
Or look at phones. We would still use Nokia bricks or Motorola Razr if Apple didn't bring the iPhone. At first everyone laughed at it. But, well, look where we're now. Everyone wants a smartphone these days.
So, in terms of games for everyone... I don't think it would be nice if everyone had an XBox. It would evolve slower, because there's no competition. Games would become worse, because there wouldn't be any reason anymore to "show off". And if everyone would use GamePass, well, who is going to pay the developers? I hesitated at first going Nintendo, because games here are kinda expensive. On PlayStation I'm used to getting my games for 20€ or less. But... hmm... 40-50€ for a game isn't that bad. More reasonable than GamePass Ultimate for 13€/month. Sure, I would save a lot of money (if XBox had games I care about), but, I dunno, sometimes you need to think about other people and they also need to live from something, right?
@TheFullAndy Yes, because I like different things than you I'm a zealot, a freak, have no life and waste my time with having multiple accounts. Makes perfectly sense, Sir NiceGuy.
@Nintendo4Sonic Huh... Conversation is a waste of time to you? Basically, I was asking you for your opinion. Sorry about that, not going to do that again. Promise. But I'm feeling kinda sorry for you.
@Nintendo4Sonic Go to Google and lookup "videogames in 2021 wikipedia". Click on the Wikipedia link and look through it. There's also a list for 2022. Now tell us what exactly the PS5, or specifically Sony, is delivering...
For my taste... I only see Hogwarts Legacy, Neptunia ReVerse and Final Fantasy XVI. None of them are from Sony, afaik. All other games I would be interested in are for PS4. A lot of them are coming to Switch and some previous PS4 games are coming to Switch too, because Japan is currently mad at Sony because of the course PlayStation (HQ is in California since 2016. Full Hyprocrisy Ahead! Choo chooo!!) is taking. For example that they entirely BLOCK releases of some Japanese games for reason that are beyond hypocrisy, because you can see far more worse and literally disturbing things in western games, but nobody cares about that because the west are "the good guys" and anime girls are evil... That evil anime girl wanted to hug you ONCE in a game series that takes you like 400 hours to 100%? You wanted to headpat her once? TO THE HORNY JAIL WITH YOU!!
Better play Dragon Age or Assassins Creed, where you even get rewarded with a trophy for having... a two people based adult activity. Or play Cyberpunk, where you can go to an... adult entertainment house, or some random women on the street ask you if you want to have a nice time. Or play GTA5, where you need to be... extra nice to a guy you bound to a chair to progress the story (Really wished there would have been a button to skip that scene... I'm in my 30s, but that scene made me really uncomfy...). In that game you can also go to an adult entertainment house, heck, you can even take girls with you into a bush, play with them and then put them to sleep to steal the money you voluntarily gave them. So nice... Or how about TLOU2, where you need to watch how your father gets removed from existence with a golfclub petting his head? And why do western games have so many targets, that often look like humans, you can make take a nap... with firearms?
But... you dare to give Altina an... omg... headpat?? That's SO inappropiate!!!1 You're DiSgusTäng!!1! > JaPaN BAD!!!1 #metoo
...Hope I worded that childfriendly enough.
But, really... I don't see what could make the PS5 interesting. And I was kinda generous already, because Neptunia ReVerse for PS5 is a remaster of Neptunia Re;Birth1 Plus from PS4, which is a remaster of Neptunia Re;Birth1 from Vita, which was a remake of the original Hyperdimension Neptunia from PS3. Apparently people really like the first game... Personally I would rather go with the third game. Rei Ryghts is a very interesting woman. Also far more crazy and brainf-d (at least in Japanese. That voice acting is just perfection...) than Vaas from FarCry3 could ever be in his dreams...
@Agriculture I read all the comments here and I really don't understand you. If you're interested in games like GTA6, FarCry, CoD and Assassins Creed... Why would you buy a Switch in the first place?
I decided to move from the blue to the red team, because Sony is going to block out Japanese games at some point in the future. There are various reports about that Sony, or rather the PlayStation HQ in California, has set up a strict set of rules that are only in effect when the game is from Japanese developers. And when you actually think about what you can do in eg GTA, AC, DA and CP77 (about violence and... uhm... with female beings)... Well it's pretty obvious that these set of rules only apply to Japanese games. I'm not going into details, because I assume that we've minors on this website as well... But I also read that Japanese developers need to send a preview to PlayStation California and need to wait for their okay. And that they're struggling and don't know how they can change their games to be accepted by Sony. Some devs said they're thinking about dropping PlayStation. I guess that's the reason why the Switch got so many ports of Japanese games lately. Half of Japan is simply mad at Sony's decisions. And that's also why I sold my PS4 Pro and are with Nintendo now. Because these are the games I care about. Japanese RPGs, Visual Novels, whatever other genres they could partially use and, of course, Nintendo games. In the future I only need one console. The Nintendo one. I'm not going to buy a PS5. F you, Sony. I'm in my 30s and female, and uhm... I dunno, maybe Japanese games aren't about what most western people think they're about when someone mentions Japans...? I've no idea how this weird western worldview got established anyway...
However, despite all the rumors about the Switch Pro you can see that meanwhile, Feb2021, Nintendo is still doing fine. In the PS5 release week 13.000 PS5 and 280.000 Switch got sold alone in Japan. 28 out 30 topselling games in Japan are Switch games. And that's just ONE WEEK and only from Japan. And with all the support Japanese devs are getting from around the world... And with all the Nintendo fans around the world... Trust me, Nintendo will do fine without your mainstream games. How many people do even own Assassins Creed on Switch? How many GTAs are there even on Nintendo? Only GTA Advance and GTA Chinatown Wars, both for Gameboy Advance, are coming to my mind. You're the first person I ever saw in my life that is upset about not having GTA on Nintendo. Maybe... it's just not the console for you? And if you care about multiplats that much why would you go with the weakest platform, that isn't even the target group of these games or people who play these games?
@Anguspuss Just playing since MS-DOS, but yeah, I agree. People these days put way too much value on graphics. I remember playing Supaplex on my first PC. I don't remember its specs aside from having 640KB RAM. The game ran slow and you were even able to see the game skipping frames, it looked like it would be shacking all the time. On my second PC, 50MHz, 12MB RAM and 512KB (yes, KB) GPU, it ran quite well and my favorite game back then on Windows, Anno1602 (US: 1602 A.D.), performed kinda interesting. Ships moved like if it would be a turn based game. They teleported a couple of meters, stopped, teleported a couple of meters, stopped. But aside from that, the game ran kinda well. When I was playing Supaplex on the PC my big brother had, it ran in ultra high speed and was unplayable because everything was waaaay too fast.
And these days people whine when games are capped at 30fps. Or about the trees in Pokemon Sword. Or how Outer World looks "miserable" on Switch. Waaaah! Waaaah! 25fps! Everything below 60 is literally unplayable!!!11
I don't understand. In the PAL region console gamers should be used to having 25fps. We had a higher resolution than the NTSC region, but 25fps, yeah.
That's basically one of the reasons why I don't care about Metacritics. So much whine these days about graphics or for not having multiplayer (or because people want to make everything about politics or the female anatomy. Look, I'm playing games to relax, chill, have a nice time and dive into a story in a different world. Isolated from the society and their imaginary hypocrisy drama. What I really don't need is more "political correct" whine about games. Just let me play videogames... alone, in peace... jeez... How many people are going to rate Hogwarts Legacy bad just because JK Rowling, who isn't even involved in the game, said that transgirls aren't biologically female?). I bet, if I would look up Bowsers Fury on Metacritics in a couple of days I would see people whining that it runs in 792p docked and in 30fps in handheld. As if that would matter. It still is very playable and looks pretty nice, right? I was happy when I was a fourth grader and got some kinda useless Nokia brick. These days even first graders have an iPhone, they're used to live in luxury and to have the best of the best. And this is going to be a big problem one day, for them individually because they learn the hard way that life isn't THAT nice, or for us a society in general because there are way too many spoiled people. And I don't even know why I would want to play most of the games I played in multiplayer anyway... Who, aside from trophy hunters on PlayStation and people who do Gamescore on XBox, voluntarily played eg Assassins Creed in multiplayer? As a former trophy collector I can tell you... That was incredible boring and pointless.
@BloodNinja Hmm... Where IS "outside" of the box? And when everyone would think outside of it, doesn't that mean we're inside of it?
That's like with the Matrix movies. Most people think Neo was the hero. But he wasn't. Agent Smith was. How can Morpheus train Neo LIKE THAT if they really ARE outside the Matrix? How can Neo use his magic powers against the machines, if it really was the real world? How can Neo REVIVE Trinity by literally touching her heart, IN her body? People need to start LISTENING to others. The Architect explained it to Neo. That the previous versions of the Matrix have been "too perfect" and humans started to fight it because they refused to accept that life would be so nice... The Matrix we saw in the movies was a newer version. The "outside" world, which Morpheus thought to be the real world, still was INSIDE the Matrix but he believed in being free. How did Neo receive the spoon if he was outside the Matrix at this time? In the real world machines use humans as batteries? They don't have better ways to produce electricity? Even a potato would be better than a human... It was made up. It's still inside the Matrix.
Let's think about your "thinking outside of the box"... We're still inside the box. A bigger one, but still inside.. Sorry, I just don't like this "outside of the box thinking" comment. That's like "You need to read between the lines!". No. I don't want to read BETWEEN the lines, I want to read THE lines. Most of the drama we're having these days only exist because people don't LISTEN and prefer assuming things nobody ever said. There isn't a single picture of me anywhere on the internet, and I intend to keep it like that. For multiple reasons. One of them is, that whenever someone asks me what kind of shows I'm watching and I reply with anime, everyone believes to be so smart when they "read between the lines" and attack me then because they assume in their wisdom that I would be "interested in children". A lot of stuff I'm watching is about feminine guys... but okay... And my avatar here, Altina, looks so young because she's an artificially created person that was intended to be used as a weapon. She would just beat you up if you would try to do anything weird to her. And in the game she only gets a headpat and she hugs you once. Oh wow so bad and evil... Quick, call Australia! (An Australien judge said that there is a connection between liking anime and liking real children... uh-huh. How many bad people like tapwater or pizza? Did you know that the guy that lead Germany in the last century was a vegetarian? ...See? This is why we never can have nice things. Because people try to see connections where none are...)
If we all could just accept that we're inside the stupid box and start listening to people, pay attention, instead of assuming the worst about everyone just because they like things we don't like ourself but aren't harming anyone (like watching anime or... omg... having an opinion.)... That would be nice.
@doctorhino - Oh! So you can act like if you would know me, but when I say something that's not even per se directed at you but more a general thing it's suddenly a "Do I know you?"-thing? Interesting.
Keep going... And yes, I'm aware that this is a newssite. And yes, staying informed is important. And I even said that I'm open for opinions. But what has this to do with metacritics and stuff like that, that I'm not interested in? Exactly. Absolutely nothing. You seem to be kinda confused... It also seems to be kind of pointless to keep talking with you, because you twist everything like you see fit, or are just trolling. I bet my bananamilk here is in your head a protein shake on beef basis too.
@Strictlystyles "Cyberpunk just has technical issues but is just about the game they described."
I didn't care about Cyberpunk because I always thought this is just another "flavor of the month" game, like tRiPLe-AAAAHH-bLocKbuSteR games mostly are. People are always whining and complaining, just to pre-order the next FotM-game to repeat the same. The mainstream is moving in a circle.
Shiny openworld blockbuster blah game gets announced => Media hyping it up => People hyping it up => people hyping up each other, and everyone who doesn't care gets attacked => people pre-order (as if a game could run away?) => people are disappointed and complain => Back to step1. Lessons learned: 0.
I saw a video from a person that compared trailers and what the marketing said with actual game footage and... uhm... Just technical issues you say? The game they described? Sure... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omyoJ7onNrg

(All You Can Eat is a compilation.)
Planet Coaster is on Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, macOS.
Re: Rumour: Nvidia's New Tegra X1+ Chip Could Make Switch Performance "Up To 25% Faster"
@Agriculture I really don't understand how people can be so rude and narcissistic when someone says more than two sentences. Feels like: "Another person than me is talking? Pah! Nobody ain't got time for that!". But... It's okay. Good luck with that attitude in your life.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 13th)
Re: Rumour: Nvidia's New Tegra X1+ Chip Could Make Switch Performance "Up To 25% Faster"
Re: A Day-One Update For Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Is Now Live (Version 1.1.0)
Re: A Day-One Update For Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Is Now Live (Version 1.1.0)
Re: Rumour: Nvidia's New Tegra X1+ Chip Could Make Switch Performance "Up To 25% Faster"
Re: Round Up: The Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Reviews Are In
@BloodNinja I see... That makes sense. Thank you.
Re: Solve Space Mysteries In Outer Worlds' First Expansion, Now On Switch
Re: Round Up: The Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Reviews Are In
@BloodNinja Hmm...
Re: Platinum Seems To Have Explained Why It's So Quiet About Bayonetta 3
Re: Ori Director Criticises "Snake Oil Salesmen" Behind No Man's Sky, Cyberpunk, And Fable
Sure...
