No, it doesn't work like that. You can't ask someone to spend money for something that they don't want. The point of a trailer is showing some of the best features of the game, and with a market this big it's easy to get the same experience somewhere else. There's no room to explain why it's not a real Metroid game - we wont blow money on it that we can spend with Sony and Microsoft for a stable gaming relationship.
Hopefully it will be something along side the Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice announcement. I think if Sega brings themselves back to the core elements of what made them good, that could be a major improvement. The franchises they run appeal the the 1990's crowd, and they could really set themselves aside to make SEGA a big name again. Throw in some new and old, spit shine, and you've got yourself a good company again.
I want virtual reality, but since Nintendo shot themselves in the foot by stating that VR isn't fun, and that it's just tech, I guess the 3DS XL will be my final venture with Nintendo and I'll find a new gaming company to suit my needs.
Well, it works and we buy it. So of course Nintendo is using past ideas, it works and it's what people want. You've got to remember that the kids who had the Super Nintendo are all grown up now and they want that same experience. I do think Nintendo should use this to their advantage to branch out to more audiences. Get kids interested in Mario again.
Ah yes, we should all gather around the Wii U because truly it's failure on Dreamcast levels should be all pointed to tablets! Surely there could have been no marketing flaws, design flaws, or anything else. Miyamoto, I love you, but I'm not coddling the Wii U for the fact tablets were already big before the Wii U slapped into existence.
"...create a system that is both unique and affordable so that everyone can afford it and everyone can enjoy it."
Ah yeah, innovative idea. Go back to what made you successful with every other console. Why did you guys change the formula? I understand you're an innovative company by heart, but you don't change what isn't broken, or you just tweak it. This next console better be a winger, because if you look at any other game company in gaming history, they only had three shots before they tanked.
Hope they try using it before they make a console after it's become a mainstream household item and claim that VR stole the Wii Me's thunder or something.
I'm not too interested based of the fact I have to buy the game and then buy a small amount of extra content. Although I'm excited to see the quality has gotten a lot better on the figures and maybe one day I'll pick up one or two for my game collection, but right now it's not really what I'm looking for. I just want to be able to buy a game and have it ready to play without too much fuss.
Honestly this looks like a really hilarious piece of software. I'm totally putting it on my list. It doesn't look as bad as Nintendolife is seeming to make it out. I hold high hope for games that come out in the later in a system's life - that's where the gems show.
I hope that Nintendo will market this idea better. The problem with the Wii U is they never really told us why we wanted it other than brand loyalty. Otherwise it was just a rather expensive hunk of plastic. I just want them to tell me why I should care. Otherwise, I think I'm done with Nintendo and I'm moving to PC platforming as it's more reliable in a million ways.

Re: Poll: Where Do You Stand on Miiverse and Its Planned Changes?
Doesn't effect me because I use Miiverse on the 3DS, and maybe only once or twice a year. Nothing that changes my opinions, really.

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Producer Explains Why Samus Aran Isn't In The Game
in Super Smash Brother's you can have four Marios. Don't see why that's weird.
Re: First Impressions: Getting Into the Fold With Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam
Dududude. Looks like a whole lot of fun. I always love these games - they're so kooky.
