Can you believe it? We're already in the third month of the year! 2022 is speeding along for the Nintendo Switch, and we've already had some big releases like Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
The month of March is absolutely packed out. While Kirby and the Forgotten Land is probably the headline act, there'll also be plenty of other games on offer and even some DLC.
We've got the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC pack, and then there are some really great games to look forward to like Chocobo GP, Triangle Strategy, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Rune Factory 5. Here's the full list from the video above:
FAR: Changing Tides
Triangle Strategy
Chocobo GP
Young Souls
.hack//G.U. Last Recode
Dawn of the Monsters
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pack Wave 1
Rune Factory 5
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
What games on this list will you be checking out in the month of March? Tell us below.

Kiiiiirrbbbyyyy
lots of good games but Kirby is must-have for me.
We need a poll-- will you get MK8 DLC, chocobo GP, or both (or neither)
Q : What games on this list will you be checking out in the month of March?
Me : Ryan's Rescue Squad !
Looking very forward to Kirby.
@Anti-Matter ….but why tho?
Kirby and Mario Kart look amazing.
Kirby, Chocobo, MK8 tracks, bring it!
@PARK1755
Because I think that game is interesting for me after i watched the trailer.
Different peoples, different gaming taste.
Mostly looking forward to Kirby and Mariokart 8. Cannot wait to play Coconut Mall
@Anti-Matter yeah that’s fair, won’t argue with that.
Mainly Kirby for me.
Can't wait for Kirby to suck, in a good way
Only Kirby for me. Then we got lego Star Wars and switch sports in April
@Anti-Matter : Yes, we know, we know. How many more times do you intend to shout it from the rooftops?
@blindsquarel our schedules are almost the same, as I'm gonna get all of those and I get the MK8DX dlc with my NSO+ sub, but I was gonna buy it anyways so it works out in the end. Can't wait for Lego star wars tho, so hyped!
As a kaijumaniac, I have to have Dawn of the Monsters, and I preordered Rune Factory 5 a while ago because of course I did. And Mario Kart DLC will definitely see some play in my family. That's it for me. Kirby and Generic Strategy both look good, but I'll wait, because I already own way more Switch games than I'll ever finish.
Mk8 DLC and probably Chocobo GP Lite version.
@nowthisisepic
Yeah I am hyped for lego Star Wars. Only reason I haven’t pre ordered is that I want to make sure the game runs well on switch. If not then ps4 it is.
Nintendo Life these monthly videos are great. Please keep them coming.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pack Wave 1
Kirby is pretty much the only game on my brain right now. I'm still undecided on whether I'll be buying Chocobo GP or not but regardless Kirby is the game I'm literally going mad over. The last time I was this excited for a Kirby game was back when Return to Dreamland or Kirby's Adventure Wii as it's known as here was about to come out.
@Silly_G
As many times as it takes for us to learn to ignore him, I would hope.
Just Kirby for me among that lot.
I don't want to encourage future paid DLC for Mario Kart, so I think I will sit this one out (though I have little doubt that my efforts will be futile), but I will consider a complete physical edition should one materialise, or if there is a considerable discount on the bundle (which I doubt will happen). And as much as I hate the practice of paid DLC, I can't say that I am not tempted either.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pack Wave 1: the only one for me.
Persona Arena Ultimax i´ll buy on Steam.
The other games means nothing to me.
Kirby is a too easy game and I don´t have fun playing this franshise.
Best month I remember! Kirby, Triangle Strategy, Rune Factory 5 and the Mario Kart DLC, I want it all!
Also Chocobo GP looks good, I just wish there wasn't DLCs and that bs, though.
The Mario Kart DLC'll be cool and I might pick up Arena Ultimax at some point but it's not a launch thing for me, only things really on my radar for March. I'd probably buy Kirby if it were a new 2D game but zero interest in this one.
I’m on a buying freeze so no games for me this month. However, I do plan on picking up Triangle Strategy, Kirby, and Rune Factory 5 a few months down the road.
The only thing I might get this month is the Mario Kart DLC. That’s mainly because my Switch online subscription ends at the end of the month and I think I’ll upgrade to the expansion pass when I renew. I thought it was a bad value last year but now that they’ve fixed the N64 emulation up, added more titles I’m interested in, and included the Mario Kart 8 DLC… I think it’s worth it for me now.
Can't wait to put my hands on that kirby game, might as well ask for a day off at work
I have Chocobo GP pre-ordered through Play-Asia and .hack//GU Last Recode Begins Edition pre-ordered through the Namco store, I'm hoping those both ship soon. Won't be ready for GU right away since I need to play through IMOQ first, but it'll be nice to have that secured.
I'm also planning to get the Mario Kart DLC and Kirby once those come out. I definitely want to get Triangle Strategy, but this month is too packed for me to get everything I wanted at once so I'll have to wait a bit on it. Rune Factory 5 is one I'll consider, but I want to see improvements compared to the original Japanese release. I'm not as sensitive to performance issues as most people are, but it still looked pretty bad to me going off of launch footage.
Triangle Strategy for sure.
Kirby because the kiddos and I thought it looked fun - hopefully there is multiplayer in it?
Also Dawn of the Monsters because I can’t not buy a tokusatsu beat em up that looks that good - but its physical release is through LRG, so I’ll probably be playing BOTW2 before Dawn delivers.
Neon White looks very promising, surprised it wasn't added here.
@Teksetter 2 Player co-op has been confirmed for Kirby! 🥳
I hadn't heard of Young Souls but it looks rad! That and Kirby for me!
@DreamlandGem
Thank you, that’s great news! My younger daughter really liked the last Kirby game, but has more fun playing co-op. We will definitely try that in Forgotten Land!
I find it really funny how Nintendo releases more Mario kart stuff when Chocobo GP comes out
Phantom Breaker: Omnia should be included in this list.
No question: Kirby and the Forgotten Land!
