Update: Just a note to remind you that Nintendo of America's festive Indie World sale is wrapping up this evening just before midnight in the very last moments of 2021 — or earlier if you're east of the PT zone. Make sure you grab anything you've had your eye on beforehand!
(Mind you, Nintendo of Europe launched a New Year Sale right after its Festive Sale finished, so North American readers may not have as long to wait for the next one as you'd think!)
Nintendo of America has launched a sale featuring 30 indie titles, including discounts on such critical darlings as Hades, Oxenfree, Streets of Rage 4, and a whole bunch more.
The sale ends on December 31st at 11:59 pm PT, so you've got some time to peruse the titles available and decide how to spend any holiday gift vouchers you may or may not receive in the coming days.
Below is a full list of the games available along with the discounted price. Click on the column headers to organise in alphabetical order or by price, and click on the game title to find out more about any of the games via our reviews.
There are various other titles on sale which are not technically part of this 'Indie World Holiday Sale' — brilliant games including Florence, Donut County, Gorogoa, and What Remains of Edith Finch are part of the separate publisher-specific 'Annapurna Interactive Indie World Holiday Sale', for example. The Annapurna holiday offers finish at the same time — 11:59 pm PT on December 31st.

Where are the japanese charts this week?
I'm so suprised that Axiom Verge 2 just came and no one talks about it at all. Such a great Metroidvania, so much better than the first and did things differently.
@hadrian I played it for a few hours right after finishing the first one (which I liked a lot but didn’t absolutely love, solid 8/10 though) and it completely didn’t grab me. Maybe it was because I was expecting more of the same going into it but the lack of focus on combat (the combat that was there just didn’t feel good at all to me), seemingly none of the fun styles of upgrades of the first one coupled with a much more open map that just felt confusing to figure out where to go…eh. Will have to try it again when my memories of the first game aren’t so fresh and go in expecting it to not be a direct sequel in a gameplay sense but those few hours were really disappointing to be honest. Music was great though.
30 games. Ha. I think 3000 games are on sale on the eshop right now. It's impossible to navigate.

Sucks that Eastward isn't on the list. I've been waiting on a sale for that one.

I've had my eye on Risk of Rain 2 for a long time, but at that price I can't say no anymore. I also like Slime Rancher. Good sale.
Square Enix is also doing their usual "Knock 50% off XX title" if anyone still needs to pick up one of their games digitally.
...Which is why I have yet to grab some of them since they do this 2-3 times a year.
I just picked up Forgotten Anne at 60% off and Inked on sale. I want Axiom Verge 2 someday but I'll wait for a better than 10% off sale.

@Donutsavant Man, that's comically bad timing on their part. Why not wait to release it a bit later or drop it like a few weeks before Dread to catch the people really itching for that type of game. Same week is just a horrible idea.
Anyone who doesn't have Cyber Shadow should get it while it's on sale because it's one of the best games of this era! It's better than the Ninja Gaiden trilogy on NES!
Not on this list but Fast RMX is 50% off and is very rarely on sale. I'll grab it, have only heard good things about it.

In fact, there are some states where you do not even pay taxes in the eShop
You are supposed to declare online purchases that have not been taxed at tax time
Anyone who likes video games should check out Shovel Knight, if you somehow haven't already.
Also, FAR:Lone Sails is a neat experience if you are into games like that.
I picked up Death's Door and Teslagrad.
@hadrian I can't wait to try it out. I just bought the first one (took a long time because of my massive backlog) and I think it is phenomenal. If the 2nd one is that much better, it sounds like I'm in for a real treat.
