For fans jumping into the Sinnoh region in

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

, there are a few favourite Pokémon they’ll be keen to pick up straight away. Some Pokémon from generation 4 require a bit more patience, though — Eevee and its various evolutions, for example.

Generation 4 introduced us to new Eeveelutions for the first time since

Gold/Silver

, Leafeon and Glaceon. In order to get those, however, you’ll need an Eevee, and we’re going to show you how to get it.

How to get Eevee, Leafeon and Glaceon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Complete the Sinnoh Dex

Firstly, you’ll need to complete the Sinnoh Pokédex. Thankfully, this can be done with one copy of the game, and in one playthrough. All you need to do is to see one of every Pokémon, not catch them, and this can all be achieved during the course of the normal game.

If you’re struggling to see the box legendary of the other copy, Dialga or Palkia, speak to Cynthia’s grandmother and she’ll show you it.

After that, head back to Professor Rowan and he’ll upgrade your Pokédex for you, allowing you to catch almost 500 Pokémon in total, including plenty of new legendaries.

Hearthome City

Head to Hearthome City and speak to Bebe in the house next to the Pokémon Center. She’ll talk to you briefly before offering you an Eevee to take with you on your journey.

Now, if you want a second Eevee, in order to get both evolutions, you’re going to need to breed it. So head to the Pokémon Daycare and leave Eevee in there with a Ditto. Hatch the egg and then you’re ready for the next step.

Glaceon

In order to get Glaceon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, all you need to do is to take your Eevee to the small rock outside Snowpoint City and make it level up once in that patch of grass.

You can do this with a rare candy or through battle, but either way, you’ll end up with a Glaceon for your collection.

Leafeon
